I would not have liked this book in any other format than the one I encountered it and that’s something that must be said at the very beginning. This is mainly for lifestyle reasons. I’m not a big fan of extravagant drinking binges, either watching them happen or even reading about them and this book was entirely about one single bachelorette party.

The narrative style, however, brought out the joy that the ‘girls’ found in each other. They managed to make fun of each other while not holding grudges when the others did the same. The interaction was natural and pleasant for all the gaudy plans and risqué humour which goes with the topic.

Four Irish girls became friends in the US one summer and then they maintained this friendship over several life changes. Now the more central member of this gang is getting married and although they are openly not agog at the idea, they are still excited about a few days in Vegas. Once there, our protagonist has to face her past and decide what to do with her current life.

While I found the decisions our main focus took a little abrupt, so do her friends and they point it out to get several times making it a more acceptable situation. I laughed out loud at some of the more random imagery thrown around during the story and I ended up listening to the book in one go, without trying anything else in between.

I would recommend this to fans of the genre and those who are fans of Vegas for the same reasons the cast of this plot are, there will be more laughs here. I really enjoyed the narration and would love to try another by the author or the narrator.

I received an ARC thanks to Netgalley and the publishers but the review is entirely based on my own reading experience.

Great audio listen that had me laughing out loud at parts. I’d love this turned into a movie! I’ll look out for more from this author.

I saw this described as a cross between Bridesmaids and the Hangover, which actually is a pretty good summary. It is not Hangover mind you, however, it had me chuckling at regular intervals.

Kate and three of her friends are off to Vegas for her hen do, leaving Kate’s fiancee Trevor back in Dublin worrying as to what will happen to his beloved. What could go wrong? Nothing should do, as Kate has planned the whole itinerary to the nth degree.

This goes out of the window on the first night when they drink a lethal drink what they last drank 10 years before when they all lived in New York together. They wake up with very blurry memories in a strange hotel room, one has a tattoo, one has no eyebrows and one is wearing handcuffs, but Kate, well she just got married, to her EX. The story then spirals from here, how does she get around this so she can go back to Ireland in a few days to marry her controlling, dull Trevor.

The friendship group was brilliantly written and certainly relatable. Siobhan was easily my favourite, just trouble with a capital T.

I enjoyed Hitched, I give this a slightly generous 4/5. Thanks to Netgalley for this free ARC.

This book had me laughing start to finish. I love good Irish humour and this book really did it justice. The characters were silly and exaggerated and hilarious. The blot was silly and predictable but thoroughly enjoyable

This was funny and raucous. Think Bradley Cooper on a hen do. Some scenes were slapstick funny and as long as you’re not taking it all too seriously, genuinely funny. Sadly, Kate was a bit of a moaner but at least there was a good reason for this.

After having DNFed this author's debut, I went into this a little reserved. But since I'm having quite the love affair with second chance romances this year, Hitched sounded perfect for me. Filled with Irish charm (it's 100% Derry Girls go to Vegas), Taylor Swift references and the best group of gal pals this side of the Atlantic, Hitched will have you laughing from the first page. We meet Kate, bride-to-be, jetting off the Las Vegas with her three best friends on a hen trip of a life time. Kate's friends aren't the biggest fan of Kate's fiancé, but they love her to pieces and will do anything to give her the best weekend of her life. Well, the best weekend since those she spent with ex-boyfriend Trevor almost a decade ago. A chance encounter with her lost love and a spate of Vegas amnesia leaves Kate and Trevor married, and Kate desperate to annul the marriage before her wedding at the end of the week! Trevor will sign the papers on one condition - Kate goes on three dates with him.

My main issue is that I was left wanting so much more. Hitched was fun, but not groundbreaking. This novel didn't so much feature the miscommunication aspect that a lot of romance books do, but rather features our bride-to-be just not communicating at all. This story needn't have happened at all if Kate just asked the damn question that needed to be asked! But if Siobhan gets a spin-off, I will be diving headfirst into this world with a one-way ticket.

Read this if you love Derry Girls, What Happens in Vegas and the Married By Mistake trope.

The most Hilarious story of a group of girlfriends from Ireland running Wilde in Las Vegas, I’ve read so far!

The quote of the month for me has to be: “Who has babies away? It’s like keeping sperm as a pet!”

I’m giving it a big round Five Stars all the way!!!

When Kate chooses to have her hendo in Las Vegas, the saying 'What stays in what happens in Las Vegas' stays in Las Vegas applies.

Kate has been in love with one guy for the last nine years. But she's now moved on and ready to marry Norman, the dentist, and have the happiest day of her life.

But Kate and her three best friends head to Vegas for the weekend. It doesn't end well when alcohol is involved, and fate brings you the love of your life.

This novel was the Hangover meets How To Lose a Guy in Ten Days, with fantastic one-liners that left me laughing, especially with the character Siobhan.

Our main character, Kate, develops so much in this novel but, this couldn't be done without her best friends, and this novel would not be the same without them.

From the start, Murray gives us characters we know to dislike, with a narrative you won't see coming and a happy ever after that will have readers, and characters, with their jaws dropped to the floor.

This was a fantastic novel and I would honestly love to have a continuation with the other friends having a main storyline.

I saw a review that said ‘Derry Girls in Las Vegas’ and I have to 100% absolutely agree!

This was a hilarious story full of Irish Gal charm, banter and friendship!

An easy listen (I had the audiobook version) and throughly enjoyable! Likeable and funny characters and yes it was a typical HEA ending but that’s what Rom-Coms are meant to have and this ticked the Rom-Com criteria to a T!

4 stars!

Kate had planned the perfect hen party for herself : she and her three best friends were going to Las Vegas ! A trip to the US meant a lot to the group of Irish girlfriends who had met in NY nine years prior. A trip to the US also reminded Kate of Trevor Rush, whom she spent that summer in NY with, and who ended up breaking her heart.
The trip got off to a good start but quickly turned into a nightmare when Kate realized that Trevor was also in Las Vegas, DJing at the very same club she and her friends were in. Things escalated very quickly from there : Kate got drunk, she proposed to her ex and married him, then blacked out and woke up without having any memory of it all.
For Kate, seeking an annulment was the only logical thing to do. But Trevor had other plans for her : he asked for three dates in exchange for his signature on the annulment papers. Having no other choice, Kate agreed to his terms in order to be able to go back to her normal life. The thing is ... She might not want to go back.

This book is described as follows "Bridesmaids meets The Hangover in the laugh-out-loud rom-com of the year" . TRUE ! It was really funny, I did laugh out loud !

Was it a good book though? In my opinion, no.

The characters were flat and the writing often cringy, Shiobhan was introduced / described as "a plus sized girl from Derry". I mean ... cringe.

The banter between the girls was funny, I loved the sarcasm and all, but the dialogues lacked authenticity, the jokes seemed "rehearsed", as if those lines were given to the characters (I couldn't believe that those girls could come up with jokes that were so funny).

I get that the dynamics within that group was ... special, but I didn’t like how everyone kept ignoring Kate's plans and wishes at her own hen party, it was giving "toxic selfish friendship" instead of the intended "genuine concern from friends that know her better than she knows herself".

Here's the truth about this book : Trevor was a walking red flag and super unlikeable ... Norman, on the other hand ... Not that bad. He never really hurt Kate, he was cheated on and ignored for days (just before his wedding) and we were supposed to root for the former and dislike the other ? Because he had veneers ? Yeah, no.

All in all, it was fun, not deep, but entertaining and enjoyable.

Guys, I laughed SO MUCH! Kate and her friends are just hilarious, I loved the humour, and how we rout for Trevor directly cause.... Normann is a douch! It's a miscommunication trope, so be warned. Also no spice in there, but I was laughing so much I didn't even care! If you need a light book / audiobook to make you feel good, go for that! I listened to the audiobook and found it really good.

Wow! 'Bridesmaids meets The Hangover!'
Definitely the funniest read so far this year! Had me giggling and laughing out loud the whole way through! I would love for this to be a series of interconnected standalones, just to spend more time with these girls!

Here we meet super organised Kate, who is off on her well planned Hen Party with her best friends. We follow the group on the journey of their Hen Party, the highs, the lows and the laugh out louds in between! Kate thinks she has met the one, until a blast from the past shakes up her present. We all love a second chance romance! One for the swifties out there too! I would love a playlist for this!

Loved the message throughout this book - never giving up on your dreams!

Overall, such a good laugh! So may one liners! Could not put this down, and keeps you wanting more! I has so much fun! Would definitely recommended.

UGHHHHH. This book was HORRIBLE. At least, the romance was. That man was just full of himself, thinking he knew what was best for her without asking her what SHE wanted or letting her come to the right conclusion on her own terms. The three dates weren’t romantic at all, I hated that he KNEW she was afraid of heights and went with those ideas nonetheless. There’s getting her out of comfort zone and risking a heart attack on her part. To be honest, she was also very bad at giving him the ick, ask me and I would’ve done that in a second. The romance was based solely on the fact that they had something NINE YEARS AGO! People change in 9 years, of course she was different! I’d be worried if she HADN’T changed for Christ’s sake. At least it was hilarious which is why it’s getting a 1.5 stars.

This book and I didn’t see eye to eye and while I try to balance the good and the bad in any review, I really struggled here. The whole thing is very farcical, the plot weak, and I couldn’t tell you one character I liked. Their key traits (“dumb materialistic bimbo”, “sex-obsessed and shameless”, and “Gen-Z bisexual”) are blown out of proportion in place of them having any actual personality. Kate is irritating and we don’t really get to know her at all, as she spends the majority of the book being annoyed - making it impossible to sympathise with or connect to her. Kate’s reason for breaking up with Trevor was ridiculous, it was obvious he had in no way cheated on her. His character is arrogant and smarmy, and weirdly disinterested until late on about why Kate dumped him by text and then immediately cut all ties all those years ago. Sadly, this pair had no chemistry and I didn’t like them together (though I definitely didn’t like Norman either). I also really can’t get behind a romance where the main character cheats on her partner.

The things I did like were the Irish accents (I listened to the audiobook and that accent is a favourite of mine), the will they/ won’t they ending and that Trevor and Kate supported each other’s dreams.

I received a free copy of this book. All views are my own.

What if you end up marrying your ex-boyfriend during your honeymoon in Las Vegas? And not just any boyfriend but the one who broke your heart? What can I say, this is the story of Kate who was ready to get married to her perfect (maybe) boyfriend and instead finds Trevor after 9 years, who has decided that he wants her back and refuses to cancel the wedding.
This audiobook was a fun experience with lots of Taylor Swift quotes and while I was listening to the audiobook I got transported to Las Vegas with Kate and her friends because one of the things I liked about the book was this group of friends! I also appreciated the complicity between the characters during the various scenes and dialogues. The (silly) misunderstanding in my opinion was the weakest part of the story but apart from that it was still a pleasant story to listen to and experience.

Second chance romances are my thing so I was drawn in with the description of ‘Hitched’. The fact that it had an IRISH audiobook narration too made it all the more enjoyable.
The story follows Kate and Trevor who were long lost loves that were forced apart due to a (silly) misunderstanding 9 whole years ago. But, their luck was clearly in their favour because fate brought them together again and this time, a drunken marriage was on the cards.
The thing that I enjoyed the most about this book was the friendship Kate had with her best friends and, I could argue this was possibly better than Trevor and Kate’s love story.
At times, I felt that there was not much substance behind either of the main characters which made it hard for me to feel the angst that I'm used to from second chance romances and to make me root for them to be together happily ever after. Other than Trevor now being successful and Kate being a people-pleasing planner who used to be more spontaneous, I am not sure what more I could say about them. Though, there is one thing I would agree on and that is that Norman was insufferable. He can happily get in the bin.
I am not a fan of cheating in books (and in real life) and that did taint my opinion of the book a little, I have to say.
However, this was an enjoyable read in the car and it was fun while it lasted! The drama and excitement of the dates was worth the read. It was fun taking a trip to Vegas.

This book was an absolute riot - of course a tagline that suggests a Hangover/Bridesmaids mashup is going to reel me in and it didn’t disappoint.

I think if you take this one for what it is it’s a read that’s great fun. The Irish background and dynamics of this friendship group had me thinking of Derry Girls but when they’re 30 - Siobhan is 100% Michelle on a hen do 😂 the overall plot also gave me What Happens in Vegas vibes and overall was great fun. There were some genuine laugh out loud moments to be had and I really enjoyed it.

Though predictable, I did enjoy the development between Kate and Trevor. I did however start to find the lack of communication from Kate’s pov frustrating - I was glad to see it addressed by her friends, but it was beyond obvious what had gone on, so it did become annoying the more she remained in denial. I also thought that Norman was a bit caricature-ish in how over the top his disdain for everything was.

Overall though a great bit of fun, a really quick listen that was easy to binge that I’d recommend to a Rom com loving audience that isn’t looking for anything too serious.

Absolutely loved this! I have to admit that I predicted quite a bit of the storyline but the banter was top class. This had me giggling.
One of my favourite quotes - "I missed you more than men miss the point"
I despised Norman on a visceral level. Everything about him made me dislike him. I was team Trevor all the way.
Siobhan is my favourite, absolutely hilarious and unapologetically herself.
100% recommend this hilarious read!
I received the audiobook and honestly having the narrator actually be Irish (or at least pull off a convincing Irish accent) was absolutely the best idea. I want more of the 4 Locos.
