Thank you to NetGalley and Little Tiger for an e-ARC of the re-edition of Proud by Juno Dawson and various contributors.

This was my first anthology and I was actually surprised to like it that much. I did not enjoy all of the stories the same way but the fact that they all had a sort of happy ending really did it for me. It is so easy to write stories about LGBTQIA+ characters with a terrible ending but here, it is only about hope and love. I liked the diversity of the stories in terms of representation, I wish there was a little bit more about asexuality/aromantism, pansexuality/bisexuality ...

My favourite story would be "On the Run" by Kay Staples. It brought me so many emotions and I was glad to see that the ending was a happy one.

Congratulations to each contributor and Juno Dawson for this book and this representation. I'm sure this book will benefit for LGBTQIA+ youth especially. The foreword by Juno Dawson was heartbreaking and very important, I think it really captures the intention of the book.

I would highly recommend this book.
