There were some laugh out loud funny poems in this book. It's the 2nd poetry book I've read by this author and it was equally as good as the 1st. The poems are easy to read. Some are simple, some more thought provoking and some are funny. A great collection of poems, I can imagine sharing them with children and them loving them.

Really enjoyed this engaging collection of poems from Alex Wharton. I really felt his was playing brilliantly with the form, and with fabulous results. Great to see the return of Hector too!

A poetry collection which sings and delights in all the best ways.

There is something unique about poetry as each 'feeds' the reader in a different way to a narrative or a non-fiction and this collection is no different. "Red Sky at Night, Poet's Delight" really is a delight even the 'spooky' "Hector's Ghost" will make young reader's smile. There are many relatable poems in this delightful collection; a particular favourite of mine is "The Long Way Home" - who hasn't driven the long way home just because? This is definitely a collection of poems to share, discuss and love.
Huge thanks to NetGalley and the publishers Firefly Press for this early read in exchange for an honest review.
