Struggling artist Anna has hit rock bottom and finds herself in a bit of a situation when Liam who she shared housing with in college shows up on her doorstep and asks her to be in a fake marriage with him for a large sum of money.

Part of the deal is that she attends his sister's wedding on a private island, pretend she is a med student and that she and Liam have been in a relationship for 5 years to ensure he gets his inheritance. Without giving too much away, it turns out Liam's family are terrible people for the most part and Anna needs to pretend to be one of them. This serves up some funny moments throughout the book.

It is not my favourite Christina Lauren book but it kept me entertained and wanting to read more!
Definitely a good summer book or one to pick up at the beach.

Christina and Lauren have been one of my most fave authors and receiving an ARC for one of my most anticipated reads was beyond amazing.

I adored The Unhoneymooners, and this one had quite a similar vibe with a lot more drama, swoon and spice! Liam and Anna are two stunning characters who are perfect for each other. I loved Anna for being her silly self and becoming Liam’s ride-or-die. She had me cackling throughout while Liam had me swooning! He’s the perfect book boyfriend and I loved watching him grow into the man Anna knew he could be. His family was quite something and I’m pretty sure I would never be able to deal with the kind of drama poor Anna had to go through. She played her fake wife part so perfectly yet didn’t compromise her morals and values.

The chemistry and tension between the two MCs was spot on and like always, I really enjoyed watching them realise their fake marriage wasn’t fake anymore!

This is the perfect summer read, and has everything you’d want from a romance novel. The tropical setting will make you want to pack your bags and head to an island and the swoon and spice will have you searching for your own West Weston to create your Paradise Problem.

Whether you’re a romance reader or not, pick this one up coz it’ll surely give you that serotonin boost!

Anna and West are brilliant. Anna was so easy to relate to as a character. Two people from opposite worlds come together!

Would highly recommend this to anyone who loves Christina Lauren’s previous books.

The perfect read for me on these cold, wet, miserable winters New Zealand days! Oh to be in a tropical paradise right now...sigh. Reading this was the next best thing. A slow burn, but once the spice arrived...phew! Liam’s world is completely unrelatable to me but I still enjoyed reading about it and his larger-than-life family, although the idea of an inheritance hinging on being married seems ridiculous in this day and age surely. That’s the fun with fiction though. Anna was sassy and strong, Liam sometimes took a backseat to her huge personality but they balanced each other out well, The ending tied it all up together nicely in a satisfying way. Great romance from these two authors. Thanks Netgalley and the publisher.

A delicious romance between the buttoned-up heir of a grocery chain and his free-spirited artist ex as they fake their relationship in order to receive a massive inheritance.

I really admire this writing duo and will read anything they write!
Instead of fake dating we have a marriage of convenience (past and present) which was something a bit different and I loved it! Anna was a great down to earth character and Liam was the complete opposite to her (do opposites attract) coming from a wealthy family who have suitcases full of drama baggage to accompany the dream vacation.l enjoyed the dual POV’s from them both and was kept entertained with the banter,chemistry and humour as the storyline flowed and I kept turning the pages.The tropical island luxury setting with a money is no object wedding make this a perfect summer read …. So grab some sunscreen and a lounger and relax and enjoy!

What a hoot this one was! Two people, who married for college subsidised housing, are thrust back together when he needs to prove her existence to his family. Whisked away to an island paradise, their "love" is constantly tested amongst suspicious family members, a room with just one bed and a see-through shower, as well as their growing feelings for each other.
Fun, exciting, and heartwarming! The perfect romance novel for anyone who watched Succession and wanted them to just kick their dad to the curb.

Ok, this book met my expectations and then some, it was so good. I couldn't put it down once I picked it up (which was hard because I had lots of assignments to complete) but nonetheless, Liam and Anna stole my heart. They were so sweet, I love them subtle connection and falling into love. And it was a bit of a slow burn (yes they were kissing for the whole 'fake marriage' plot, which was so freaking good and told to perfection) when the tension snapped, oh boy, did it snap.

I loved the while vibe of this book and something about Liam "West" Weston and Anna Green that just had be so captivated and invested in them and their dynamic. There was barely a third act breakup and the epilogue was just the right slice of the future. The way Anna wholeheartedly stood in Liams corner the whole book, even standing up for him against his family and then how Liam never asked Anna to change and just accepted her and loved her so freaking much. It was so cute and honestly love them so much.

Was it the best Christina Lauren book I read? Nope

But still a funny summer-y romcom, where i had fun, super easy to read and flows easily. Brain can rest in peace.
And it’s perfect for a picknick or beach read!

I do have a pet peeve and that’s public scene, doesn’t matter if it was a proposal or a conflict I DESPISE THEM
They give me the ick and my second hand embarrassment is on the freaking roof.

So yeah deal with at your own risk!! (￣^￣)ゞ

And I mean CL did say they love to write awkwardness … and i will still read the next book AND SUFFER!!

In this story, we meet Anna and Liam. They get married to receive access to cheaper housing while in college. They get divorced after their goal is met and go their separate ways. Three years later, Liam turns up at Anna's doorstep, needing her help. Not only did the divorce not get finalised, but Liam needs Anna to pretend to be happily married to him for his sisters wedding in order to gain access to his trust fund money. Some of said money, he will happily give to Anna, for her help. Can Anna convince Liam's family that this stranger is the love of her life? Will their feelings remain fake by the end of this charade?

Firstly, I have to say, this book made me laugh, giggle, and snort all the way throughout. The humour added immensely to my enjoyment of the story.

I'm not a fan of insta-lust or insta-love, and this story was the opposite of that. The progress of Anna and Liam's relationship felt very real and natural. Also, I enjoyed the family drama aspect of this story. It gave the story some depth.

Overall, it was a great romance story. I would definitely recommend it.

Christina Lauren rarely steers me wrong but I enjoyed this book even more than I was expecting. A fun, fake-dating romance with dual POV, great side characters, lots of laughter and steam - what's not to like?!
I really enjoyed getting to know Anna and Liam and was sucked into their story really quickly. They had great chemistry and I had so much fun with them both. With it's island wedding setting, it feels like a perfect summer read!
I also adored the epilogue that just tied everything up perfectly, leaving no questions and just all the satisfaction for me! I already want to re-read it and it may have become my favourite Christina Lauren book to date!

For me, Christina Lauren novels are either 5 star reads or they have me questioning how it took two people to write such un unfunny, trope heavy book. Unfortunately, this was the latter. The fmc gave a new meaning to the word ‘quirky’ and I just couldn’t get myself to like her at all. There was very little emotional relationship between West (or Liam? William?) and Anna, which is why I found myself not caring about their relationship. It just really didn’t hit any marks emotionally, it felt unpolished, the dialogue was cringe at times, not to mention the plot holes… a miss for me.

this book is perfect for all fans of "The Unhoneymooners" and "Josh and Hazels Guide to not Dating". This book is like their love child.

Christina and Lauren will always deliver when it comes to the quirky loveable fms, and the absolute simp of an mmc.
I loved the way the story progressed, the way the main characters slowly fell for one another. and the dual pov was greatly done! i never had to go back to the beginning to check who's chapter i was reading, because their "heads" were so distinctive from one another. i really struggled putting the book down.

I’m on a romance binge right now, and I’m loving it. This isn’t my first Christina Lauren story, and I’m a big fan of the Soulmate Equation so as soon as I saw this was available to request, I grabbed it.

It’s super easy to ready, and the characters are all so loveable. Again this took me nearly one sitting to read, which I loved.
It features a lot of good and well used tropes such as; marriage of convenience, fake dating, opposites attract and dual POV. I love getting to see the MMC side as well.

I loved the story, and seeing how well someone from a working class can fit in with a bunch of rich people who hire an entire island (what the actual fuck) for their daughters wedding. It’s super witty and heartwarming, while also showing some darker sides to some of the characters and aspects of the story.

It wasn’t a super deep and connecting story for me but it was still fun and a great read. It took me a while to connect to the characters, but it really picked up towards the end. Would 100% recommend this to any romance readers out there!

Oh my God!! Please! Give me a Liam🥹🥹he sounds delicious, amazing and such a gentleman! Not to mention boy is a millionaire,that makes him more yummmmm! Cause i would rather cry in a mansion than a ditch🫣

Also, after a long time, i like a female protagonist! Idk, somehow in most books, the girls are just hibijibis! But our Anna is just like normal, next door girl.

Christina and Lauren have done it again. I could not put this book down. From Liam (West) and Anna’s witty banter to the outrageous family drama and steamy scenes with the perfect amount of buildup, it was extremely fun to read. I will most definitely be recommending this book to my audience.

Christina Lauren, the authors, usually have a certain way of writing, which I really like. "Paradise Problem" has their usual humor and clever talk, but it feels a bit different. It's not an instant love story; it takes its time to develop. But when it gets romantic, it's really romantic. It's a bit predictable, but most happy endings are, right? I didn't feel super connected to the characters, but it's a great book for the beach. It's funny, a little spicy, and has some heartwarming moments.

YES YES YES! I think this might beat Love and Other Words as my favourite Christina Lauren book! The chemistry was perfect along with the personalities of all the characters.

Another fun story from writing duo Christina Lauren. A captivating romantic comedy set on a luxury private island with a convincing plot & well developed characters, it contains all the tropes without feeling overdone! Fake dating, Marriage of convenience, Opposites attract (funny/chaos meets calm/serious), Forced proximity, dual POV, complex family dynamics. Overall a funny & enjoyable read - 4 stars

Finally, a romcom that's actually funny!! Most self described romcoms lately are more accurately described as erotic romances, so it's refreshing to have Christina Lauren back with some well placed farce and making fun of rich people. Loved the characters, the story, the romance. Only quibble: there seemed to be a need to make the dad even more unequivocally evil in order to force West to take action, but I really felt like he was plenty evil enough before.

I adored this book! I haven’t read any Christina Lauren books since Unhoneymooners and I loved that one too. It was such a fun and entertaining read. The characters were dimensional and had perfect chemistry, although it mostly felt like it was driven by lust. The setting was magical as it allowed the relationship to develop well. It had all the best romance tropes too! The main character was very likeable and witty. I enjoyed the commentary of the class divide within the relationship.

The writing was easy to follow and was often laugh out loud funny!

I will definitely be hand selling this title at work. These types of books very easily sell themselves.
