I'm usually a big fan of politics in fantasy books but not when it's at the expense of character development. I didn't care about any of the new characters that were introduced or the ones from book 1. I missed some of the atmosphere and vibe from the first installment as well. The relationships between characters were fine but honestly I didn't care about this new installment. 2 stars
