This book transported me to summer and all things sunny and warm! I thoroughly enjoyed this easy read, as it was written wonderfully and I couldn’t put it down (as well as being a sucker for all things rom-com!)

Sofia’s strong character was very likeable and her character development throughout the book was very wholesome and loveable. She was, at times frustrating and the third person perspective was easy to follow. Jack’s POV was a surprise but equally fun to read - However, I would have liked to read more than a few chapters from his side of the story as I felt it wasn’t as polished as Sofia’s was.

The scenes were easy to picture and the two guests (Milly and Brian) reminded me of Molly and Callum from Love Island haha!!

Overall, a summery and wholesome vibe read and i highly recommend!

Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to read this book in exchange for an honest review ◡̈

I may have almost jumped overboard while reading this one but I did stick it out. It was a bit chaotic and scrambled at times, but overall it was cute! Jack and Sophia did warm to me and I’m glad a HEA was had for all.

Thank you NetGalley and Avon Books UK for an arc of this book. All opinions are my own.

I was so unbelievably disappointed by this. For the first 50% I was sold. I thought it'd be a 3, maybe a 3.5 star read. I enjoyed the enemies to lovers trope, I loved the setting and I was so interested in the yachting aspect of the plot. Taking these things into consideration, I was willing to overlook the oddly timed flashbacks and clunky dialogue.

But when the author randomly switched to Jack's perspective that's where it all started to go downhill. Having three random chapters be in the MMC's point of view to get insight into his head is lazy writing. To be clear, after those few chapters, you never get his pov again. All his perspective does is boringly recount the entire events of the novel so far and proceed to info dump the hell out of us.

When those chapters ended I was excited to get back into our FMC's head but that excitement was misplaced as the plot of the novel descended into absolute madness. I'd compare it to the silliness of a soap opera. Putting aside how ridiculous and unfair it was that the Captain as going to fire FMC for sleeping with the MMC (who predictably, wasn't even considered to have acted in a way that also warranted firing), most of the characters proved themselves to be ridiculous, facetious and rude. Someone was always irritated or snapping or saying something nasty in situations where it was completely unwarranted. One of the side characters ends up treating the FMC so meanly and unfairly because of some misconceived slight but it's all fine because he broke down crying and confessed that he was the MMC's long lost brother??? It was complete madness and not the fun kind.

There was some great opportunities to discuss some really important issues like discrimination in the work place or the unfair consequences for women when it comes to the fallout of sexual relationships but it never really followed through with the setup.

All in all, the first 50% of this was a 3 star read but the rest was unfathomably disappointing. I didn't enjoy it at all.

Received via netgalley as an arc copy.

This book was as expected, the tension was there but abit on and off, the characters need some work as they fall abit flat, but it's a good idea, the book just needs some editing and rewriting here and there.

If you are looking for an easy quick Fluffy type book this is an OK choice, yes it won't be your new favourite but its a comfortable read

3.75/5 stars!

This was a bit of an emotional rollercoaster if I'm honest - the enemies to lovers was a little hot and cold, and I have never been a big fan of the whole miscommunication trope... However, this book did surprise me. At first, I didn't like the MFC Sofia. But when the enemies to lovers trope started to take its toll? Hi Sofia, I liked you then! I was also a little wary of the MMC, he seemed a little...dickish? As the book went on, my opinions also changed towards Jack. Overall, I did end up enjoying this read.

A massive thank you to the author, the publisher, and NetGalley UK for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

"Love Overboard" by Ada is a delightful romcom that takes readers on a thrilling culinary adventure intertwined with a charming romance. Despite initial reservations about the protagonist Jack, readers are pleasantly surprised as he evolves throughout the story. While some moments may feel slow-paced, the vivid sea life descriptions and the enemies-to-lovers trope keep the story engaging. Though not without its tropes, "Love Overboard" ultimately delivers a satisfying and heartwarming read, perfect for fans of romantic escapades and sea adventures.

I enjoyed this book a lot. I am a chef and it was really fun to read a book with a main character that is one too. The enemies to lovers was perfectly done. They definitely started out as enemies. Would recommend this book.

I was really excited about reading this book and I really loved the blurb and the cover art.

However, I just didn't like Sofia. She was so judgemental and immovable and really came across as if she felt that she was entitled to everything she that everyone should be revolving around her.

In fact, I didn't really like any of the characters - they were either boring, judgemental or just not involved enough in the story.

One minute, Sofia had admitted she was attracted to Jack but still had some very negative opinions on him and the next they were getting naked together.

Unfortunately, this book just didn't do it for me and it went on the DNF pile at 53%

I was not necessarily originally a Jack fan at first but luckily he really grew on me by the end. I tend to struggle a little with the miscommunication trope but it wasn't hard to get through. The sea life aspect was really fun. Overall a cute and enjoyable read. I would read more by Ada!

I will post a feature/review on my bookstagram on release day @thatbookishteach

This book took for a bit to really get involved, but I was actually pleasantly surprised after the first couple chapters. I definitely felt the enemies to lovers and was ready to kind of hate Jack right off the bat. I loved that he softened and that Sophia put her preconceived notions aside.
There were some spots that dragged for me throughout. Overall a good read though.

It was a quick read, I love the description of their adventures, it made me feel like I was watching from the sidelines. The MMC and MFC were touch and go and small fleeting interactions with all the characters but overall it was a good read overall and would recommend for those who love the sea life.

I'm pleasantly surprised!
When I first started this book, I was a little wary when the MMC Jack presented as kinda Chad. Though he turned out sweet in the end.
This book was a little bit of an emotional roller-coaster. The enemies to lovers tension was a bit on and off for my taste. And I'm not a huge fan of the miscommunication trope.
But it made me feel feelings. All in all, I enjoyed the read.
