"Bogus Business Unlimited: Operation Broomstick " by Yvonne Toner

Prepare for a magical and wacky adventure with Yvonne Toner's latest addition to the Bogus series! Having delved into the first two books, I couldn't resist diving into this whimsical world once more. Toner's storytelling prowess shines through yet again, offering a refreshing departure from the typical fare found in children's literature.

Returning to the familiar characters and welcoming new ones, Toner masterfully weaves a tapestry of hilarity and intrigue. The boardroom scene, with its absurd "schedule of events," was so funny. Who knew investing in leaky Wellington boots could be so uproarious?

Beyond the laughs, Toner manages to strike a chord with both children and parents alike. While the kids revel in the zany antics of Bogus and company, parents will find themselves chuckling along, drawn into Toner's eccentric world with every turn of the page.

As the final chapter drew to a close, I found myself eagerly anticipating the next installment from Bogus Business Unlimited. Toner's boundless creativity and wacky imagination promise an adventure that's as unpredictable as it is delightful.

In summary, "Bogus Business Unlimited: Operation Broomstick " is a must-read for anyone craving a whimsical escape from the ordinary. With Toner at the helm, prepare to embark on a journey unlike any other.

Magotty Apples Incorporated's profits are low, but the CEO believes that all the unethical behavior throughout the year deserves a reward on the company's day. However, a new problem has arisen - the ghost of Apple Catcher Cottage, Grimly Croakit, has reappeared and is causing trouble.

Russell Sprout and his friends have discovered Professor Numpty Noodles, a genius who possesses the power to generate universal jet force. They plan to launch "Operation Broomstick" to make a deal with the professor and resolve the current issues.

The book I read to my kids was hilariously descriptive, and they couldn't stop laughing. I read it out loud to my 7-year-old and 11-year-old, while my two teens pretended not to listen. The author clearly put a lot of effort into making it a funny book for kids. Even my teens chuckled at some of the sentences and names. The book is so wonky and engaging that it keeps getting better as you read through it. I highly recommend this book to kids in 3rd-5th grade who love super silly books, and whose parents don't mind the sassy main character, Verruca, who always needs to have the last word in every argument.
