Cute story for babies and toddlers. Perfect for those just learning to use their hands. We love high fives!

We love this book. We received this as ebook ARC and it is so amazing we were able to interact with it this way. In this story we travel into the jungle to give high-fives to the animals we find. At the end they see themselves and get to high-five too. I love the vibrant colors and simple illustrations. We loved the smiling faces of all the animals. This book was perfect for my 15 month old whose new favorite thing is to high-five everyone. We love interactive books, they make reading come to life. I can’t wait to buy this for our home library. Makes a wonderful gift idea as well. You will love it!

This book is adorable and would make a great baby shower gift. Colorful illustrations, cute baby animals, and a mirror on the last page for baby to see themself. My friend is having a baby and this is top of the list for her little one.

Great high contrast illustrations. I love the concept of kids giving high fives to books; it adds an extra layer of interactivity to a new lift the flap book.

Thanks to NetGalley for an advance PDF copy.

One of those ultra-colourful things I declare are not books, but things designed to get the very young hand used to holding actual/other books, and the eye engaged and coordinated with their use. There are just five instances here of large flaps to lift in order to both answer the question and complete the rhyming couplet, and they centre themselves around high-fiving jungle critters and perhaps getting a surprise or two. It's a perfectly decent tool to get a young mind receptive to book use – and as a result would have to be pretty bad indeed to get a low mark. This isn't bad at all.

My daughter (who is 2.5) really liked this book. I thought the flaps and story were cleverly designed. There is a hidden mirror on the last page which is always a hit with my kids.

This was such a cute and interactive book. The colors, the imagery all of it gave my toddler the giggles, he wanted to high five the iPad as we read the story.

I’ll look out for this when it hits shelves, my toddler would enjoy being able to hold this book in his hands.

I volunteered to read this ARC through NetGalley.

I found this book to be adorable and interactive. The flip-up and side pages to reveal what’s happening makes it easy for a child to interact and enjoy the story without needing to know how to read. I like how all the illustrations are simple and not overly detailed. Kids will enjoy this aspect.

I received an advanced review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Darling board-type book featuring peekaboo flaps and high-fives. My 2.5 year old twins loved looking at the colorful illustrations with me and I'll be buying this for sure. Mirrors always make for nice endings too!

This book is SO cute. I love how it has the pages that flip open. The interactive high five is super sweet. I can see a child getting excited to high five the different jungle animals.

This interactive board book features 4 jungle animals that are both adorable and interactive. It features flaps for your child to open and give each character a high five, and there's also a fun mirror surprise at the end.

I would say this is a good selection for babies and toddlers due to their shorter attention spans because there isn't a ton of dialogue, but what is there rhymes and they can engage with the flaps and mirror while reading.

I am looking forward to seeing the bright and colorful illustrations in stores when this book is released at the beginning of March 2024.

Thanks to NetGalley for sending me a digital ebook ARC of 'In the Jungle' by Jess Hitchmen in exchange for my honest review.

Everything you could want in a baby board flap book. bright fun colors with such amazing artwork! What baby doesn't love to give high-fives?! I know its one of the first things my kids learn! I loved this book, and still cannot get over the pictures!

This is a colorful lift-a-flap book for babies featuring several jungle animals. The illustrations are big and bright without being overstimulating, and I liked the interactive aspect of giving the animals high-fives. I read a digital version, so cannot speak to the sturdiness of the flaps.

Thank you NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group for this advanced copy. All opinions are my own.
