Being super supportive and on a mission to save every homeless prostitute in the city, Sam finds herself in trouble. Her and her sister are attacted and Yvgeny is there in time to save her. Samantha Dubets now works for him. She is a paramedic that is employed by his hotel which is more like a community. It is weird, but she gets to help people and make a difference - and she gets great benefits, so she doesn't ask questions or look too closely. She drive Yvgeny bonkers. No one effects him or gets under his skin quite like Sam. She isn't afraid of him and his door demeanor. Sam finds herself in a situation that Yvgeny has to again step in and back her up. When they are put together this time, there is no escaping the pull that Sam has on Yvegny. It is something that he hasn't experienced in his 800 years. As they figure out a serial killer is hired to kill the prostitutes, it is discovered that Sam herself has a genetic makeup that "people" like the Breznik family will kill for!

I generally enjoyed this book. Interesting telling of the vampire trope. I feel that the author could have jumped into the background/context more. it took way too long to get some context. The FMC character development felt slow to me. Well written however with enough of the usual pieces of a good story. Made me want to read the rest of the series and look forward to future books by this author.

I've been waiting for Yvgeny's story and it did not disappoint. I absolutely loved push and pull between him and Samantha and the added intrigue and action along with a fun romance made this book impossible to put down for me. I loved it and hope that there is more for this world because it is full, fun and quite imaginative! Thanks to the author and publisher for this read.

This is Yvgeny and Sam’s story, loved this read! Sam is a paramedic, when she discovers women coming up missing on the streets, she vows to find out what’s happening to them. Yvgeny considers Sam his, she works in his hotel, so she is his employee which makes her his, but is that the only way he wants her to be his!

This book started out with me thinking I was going to DNF it. But because it was a book given to review, I wanted to push through and finish it. It was book 2 in a series which I didn't realize when I picked it up, but lucky for me it seemed like it was just tangential enough for me to be able to read it without missing too much.

This was just okay. It's a paranormal romance story that's very heavy on the paranormal, considering our MMC is over 800 years old and is a vampire. There are a few concepts in here that someone new to paranormal novels might not quite understand, and to be quite honest it's been a long while since I've read a book about a vampire, so when I read about the "Sweating Sickness" thing that turned him and his family into the vampires it took me a hot minute to be okay with that concept. It challenged my preconceived notion that vampires are "made" not turned because of sickness, but it's kinda refreshing? What I didn't like was the mafia theme of the book. There was a lot going on in this book, and the paranormal side and the mafia side were good plot movers, I just didn't like the mafia side quite as much.

It was pretty difficult for me to get into even with knowing it was the second in a series I hadn't read because the main character just goes absolutely feral in the beginning for this woman who (I presume) he's known, but the way this progressed in their first interaction just left me... feeling like it was hard to suspend disbelief.

I appreciate that there's a decent plot in this. I can also appreciate the shadow daddy side of Yvgeny especially because I happen to roleplay a character who is married to someone exactly like him (although not a vampire). The banter was decent. I've read better banter. Sam is the kind of character I can get behind because she doesn't put up with anyone's shit, and she certainly doesn't put up with his shit, I do love me a FMC that has a strong will and a sharp tongue.

I'd probably read another one of this author's books, but it would sit pretty far back on the TBR. Very much a mood read, for me.

Sinner's Sacrifice by Julie Rowe is perfect book for a vampire romance fan.

It is an interesting couple which are vampire and paramedic. Yvgeny may seem possesive and short temper when it comes to Samantha but he also can be funny by making jokes with Sam. I have fun reading conversation between Yvgeny and Samantha. The humor make the book more easy to read. Samantha is a on site paramedic and also give free service for the sex workers which give us a different light about sex workers life.It is refreshing to have Yvgeny and Sam characters in the book.

This was my first ever vampire book. The only reasons I read it was because of mafia. Sam is very caring and she doesn't care if it puts her in danger. She is the most selfless book character that I have read about yevgeny was very protective of her and a vampire. Throughout this book I was confused. There was a lot of action and it was hard to keep up with that could be my fault though because I didn't read the first book.

I loved this take on vampires! I always enjoy seeing how various authors add their own twists to something that has been around for hundreds of years (if not longer). Plus add in the mafia/mob aspect and I was hooked.

I loved how passionate Sam was about helping others, no matter the danger. Yevgeny was the perfect alpha MMC who wanted to protect his woman at any cost. The action was great but I felt there was a little too much going on with the murders, trafficking, plus all the vampire issues. This is the 2nd book in the series as well, and I think I might have enjoyed/understood things a little better if I had rest the previous book first.

All in all it was a pretty fun book to read and I enjoyed it!

Loved that this was a mix of vampire vibes meshed in with a mafia vibe as well. I loved seeing the FMC, Sam, be so passionate about her work as a paramedic and also helping those on the streets. She is certainly not afraid to speak her mind or fight for what’s right. We love the baddie energy she gives off!

And Yvgeny is an 800 year old vampire who is very much the protective MMC, doing whatever he needs to in order to keep Sam safe. I love the slow burn romance between these two.

There was a lot of action in this book and the ending was pretty wild. After each big plot twist, I kept thinking nothing else could happen, but then something would pop up.

Overall this was a super quick and fast paced book! It is the 2nd book in the Sinners Never Die series by Julie Rowe.

Yvgeny is the lovable rascal from the first novel in this series. His story is filled with as many jokes, explosions, kidnappings, and fights as one could hope.

I love this guy. He is a bit obsessed (in a good way) with Samantha, who is investigating missing women. That immediately launches the two of them into danger. No- make that Baz, Nika (yes, they’re back!), and the rest of the clan we met in the first novel.

Samantha is a fantastic fit for Yvgeny. The author writes the characters fantastically. I don’t use that word lightly. There is skill required in writing people like the ones in this series, and she does it well. The other thing she does well it take the cool parts of vampirism while not focusing on the not-so-cool parts.

Read this series. Start with book 1 - you’ll enjoy it more. But you will love this five star series.

He and his family contracted the “Sweating Sickness” and the genetic code in their blood turned them vampires. Samantha works in Yvgeny’s hotel as a paramedic and takes no crap from anyone, especially Yvgeny.
When Samantha is attacked, Yvgeny moves her into his suite. She’s taken to a special clinic and blood tests are run. Her genetic code is extremely rare and now she has several different families after her. When a group invades the hotel, he hides Samantha is a safe room and there’s where she finds out what he really is. Will she accept him or run scared?
Excellent story. Action. Humor. Little bit of sex. I loved both Samantha and Yvgeny. Samantha is a hold no bars kind of woman. Yvgeny protects his family and employees.

Sinners Sacrifice is a mishmash of mafia and paranormal romance. If you like either of these genres, you’ll find something to enjoy in this book.

This book features a strong FMC and an alpha MMC doing his best to protect a woman that don’t need no man. But Yvgeny is no man, and maybe what she needs is an 800 year old vampire.

Sinner's Sacrifice by Julie Rowe. I found this one to be a very enjoyable read and I hope to read more from this author.

Unfortunately, the plot of this one was a little too chaotic for me. There were murderers and drug traffickers and missing prostitutes and virtually no chemistry between the main characters. I didn’t feel anything between Yvgeny and Sam and even their first time together was a bit of a letdown.

I did not read the first book in this series but, having been introduced to Baz and Nika here, I don’t think I would be interested. I ended up skimming a lot of this.

I think there are people who will enjoy the fast-pace but this one wasn’t for me.

Normally I am not a fan of paranormal tropes, this one however I surprisingly enjoyed, I'm glad I gave it a chance.
I was pleasantly surprised by the humor and loved the mystery of it all.
I'm unsure if I will pick up another paranormal tropes anytime soon, but I'm so thankful I was able to give it a shot and I'm so glad this Was the book to do it.
Would recommend!

Before requesting this title I did a bit of research as it was the 2nd book in a series. I got the impression it could be read as a stand alone so went ahead and requested it. I think I would have enjoyed it more if I had read the first book.

Yevgeny is kind of a Russian Mob Vampire. Samantha is a no nonsense paramedic who has an altruistic streak a mile wide. I liked her. There wasn't the usual insta-love, but I thought their romance would have more focus than it did.

Overall it was a pretty good mix of romance, bad guys, good guys, shoot-em ups with some supernatural thrown in.
