I fell in love with Sarah Ready's writing, and after learning that Ghosted was part of a series, I picked up this one when I saw it pop up in the "Read Now" section of NetGalley. Fun fact: a series where the second one is coming out right afterward? Sign me up! This one can be best described as more "Freaky Friday" than paranormal romance, and I enjoyed it so much because of that.
Serena, the best friend from Book 1, is a nerdy Star Trek-loving particle physicist who enjoys hanging out with her cat and insists that she will remain single and happy. Henry is also a particle physicist, but he's everything opposite to Serena, including being clean, tidy, and open to finding love. The only thing these two have in common is their love for particles and the fact that they had a one-night romantic relationship that Serena swore would never happen again. Serena wants nothing to do with romance and love; she just wants her career. That is until one night when some Freaky Friday magic happens during an electrical storm, and the two of them find themselves in each other's bodies.
Can Serena's heart soften? Can Henry show her that he's worth it and that there's more to love than she thinks—she can have both a career and be in love? Will they ever make it back into their own bodies?
Filled with nerdy banter and challenges reminiscent of Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis (except not the same at all except for the body-swapping portion—haha!), this story was a great escape and a good follow-up to what I can only assume is Ready's venture into sci-fi romance. I absolutely enjoy the way Ready writes, and this book didn't disappoint. I find that I can consume her stories quickly and enjoy the read no matter the topic or how corny/cheesy it can get. The steamy scenes in this story were a little less weird for me, but if you're a traditional romance reader, this might be a bit confusing. I find myself enjoying Ready's stories and will pick up every story she writes, even if it isn't my traditional genre or style.
Thanks to NetGalley and Sarah Ready, in collaboration with W.W. Crown, for providing me with a copy so that I could provide an honest review prior to the publish date!

Omigod I loved this! That first meet was so cute! Serena & Henry's meet cute was funny when her pants were stuck to the booth. She had to borrow his jacket since she was leaving the bar without pants. They head back to his hotel and get very well acquainted with each other.
But the thing is he instantly falls for her. She feels it too, but since she's career driven and anti-relationship she pushes him away. But it turns out he's her new boss. Then we have a time jump to 437 rotations of the earth later. Since they are both physicists it's pretty heavy on science talk, so be prepared.
Overall, there were some funny moments and good banter. This is why I love to read Sarah’s books so much.

This love story is one of true love and soulmates. Magical realism is one of my favorites in a love story, although I am not too sure that overall the body switching is at all realistic. This is like Freaky Friday but with a love story instead. I truly appreciated when Henry experienced his menstrual cycle and wish all men could experience it once so they understood what women go through every month.

my thanks to net galley and the publisher for this digital ARC.
I appreciate the chance to read. this book. Overall I thought it was an engaging story although some of the characters were a bit cliched. I am not typically a fan of body swap but thought I would try this version of that trope. I did not feel an immediate connection to the characters despite being a science person. myself. The insta love didn't feel believable to me. Serena in particular seemed quite self centered, rude and shallow. She develops in the course of the book but I still wasn't completely won over. Henry is a bit more of a cipher and I wish he were more three dimensional.
It's light hearted, an adult one night stand to enemies to lovers body swap story. Generally entertaining summer read.

i love how sarah ready’s plots are always wrapped with early 00’s romcoms vibes. her prose is on every book meticulously and brilliantly orchestrated. ´Switched’ was no exception to the dite author’s rule. it was rhythmed and balanced with a perfect amount of hilarious verbale jousts, an agonizing angst and resentment that was palpable throughout the storytelling between the protagonists, and a well explored characters depth and self discovery. all in all, it was an audacious book with an entertaining storyline.
many thanks to Netgalley and the published for providing an in exchange for an honest review.

Let me start by saying Thank You to NetGalley for this book. Sarah Ready doesn't disappoint.
This book was funnier than the first! I had an amazing reading this book.
My only struggle was the same issue I had with the audio, all of the "scientific" talk, it seemed pointless for more than 30% of this book. The main female character babbled for a huge part of the beginning. It made it very hard to continue. I honestly couldn't stayed interested long most the time, I was close to a DNF around the 30% mark. I pushed though it and I'm extremely happy that I did. I have never had a book make me laugh as much as this one did. The banter and love story between these two characters was worth it all. This storyline was absolute genius. No part of me could even guess how this was going to end or how the characters were going to find their way out of each other's bodies.
I would have loved to give this book 5 stars, but the beginning was difficult to get through. I can't wait for Sarah's next book!

Okay Read
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Thank you Sarah Ready for the opportunity to read and listen to your book. This was an alright read. This is the second book of Ghosted. In this book, we meet outgoing physicist, Serena Otaki. She meets Henry, a loyal, but stoic man, and sparks fly. However, due to their differences, they believe it cannot work and love is not in their future. Until an electric storm causes an event with the particle collider, and they switch bodies. Now this is where things get complicated. I thought the story was good, but it could have been better. I did like that the story was like a mixture of Big Bang Theory and a Korean drama I watched called Secret Garden (body switching). I actually really liked the characters. Serena was a great character. She reminded me of Sheldon Cooper with the love of Star Trek and physics. I thought she was outgoing, chaotic, and smart. Henry was another great character. I thought he was stoic, loyal, and sweet. He cares about family, friends, and I can relate to that. I thought the ending was good. I am looking forward to ready more of Sarah Ready’s books including the other books in this series. Overall, an okay read.

A fun and entertaining and very comical story. Serena and Henry, both physicists definitely enjoy an amorous night but scares the bejesus out of Serena. She thwarts his love intentions and avoids him at work until one stormy night they switch bodies. Then the crazy stuff begins. Simply delightful.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Really cute, fun read. I liked the characters. I liked that the premise of them switching bodies. I thought it was written really well.

For Serena Otaki, free-spirited Californian, life is simple. She loves smashing atoms at The Large Hadron Collider near Geneva, Switzerland. She loves Star Trek, spicy tofu, and her cat, Captain Purrk. She loves her messy (slob-fest) apartment, her chaotic brand of organizing, and staying permanently, happily unattached.
Life is perfect. She has one true love—physics.
Loving a man isn’t in her future.
For Henry Joule, uptight Brit, life is simple. He loves making analog black holes, drinking piping hot tea, and organizing his pencil tray. He loves his family, red meat, and obsessively cleaning his spotless apartment.
Life is perfect. He has many loves—physics, family, friends. He can’t wait to find the woman of his dreams.
Love and marriage are in his future.
One perfect night Serena and Henry meet. Sparks fly, particles collide, the universe comes to a halt, and…
It was a mistake.
They’re too different.
It won’t work.
Love isn’t in their future.
Until an electric storm causes an unexpected event at the particle collider and suddenly—they’ve switched.
Serena is in Henry’s body.
Henry is in Serena’s body.
And both life and love are suddenly very, very complicated
Who doesn't love a classic switch story like the original parent trap!
Brilliant to read with some great twists and turns and viewing things from two perspectives.
Highly recommended.

I absolutely loved this book. Like the first, it started off a little shaky for me, but as soon as it found its sea legs, it really settled into a robust story with fantastic characters. I can’t wait to read the next installment!

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS! I am such a huge fan of Sarah's work! Freaky Friday and a STEM girl? Sign me up three times over! I love the twist on the classic love-at-first sight trope and Serena's (Ducky's) hijinks to stop falling in love at all costs! Henry was ABSOLUTELY SWOONWORTHY! It was witty and adorable. Since Serena's introduction, I was excited to see if there was going to be a story there! This DID NOT disappoint me. Serena's graphics and science comparisons were hilarious and gave me a fully immersive read. Henry and Ducky pretending to be one another is a delightful treat to be had. My only wish was that we got more Henry POVs! I cannot wait to continue this series!

This was an incredibly unique story. It was fun and there was tons to love about it but it could, at times, he a touch sad. Still recommend.

Come for the romance stay for the love. This has so much going for it, kooky scientists shut off from the world, weird stuff and a dash of Freaky Friday. Two people meet, have a great night together but next day part forever. Of course the universe has other ideas. Ducky is a scientist, she does science but doesn’t do life, but yeah the universe.
Yes it’s been done before but this works for me. If the nature of love is getting to know and understand the other person’s point of view then we should all body swop at some point. The comedy is on the physical and mental challenges of swapping bodies. The conclusion can only be that the body is irrelevant to love and it’s the person within you are reaching out too.
I enjoyed the plot and it’s amusing to bring in the totally innocent Hadron Collider into a romance novel and a great ending.

It took me a fat minute to get into this book because for some reason, it didn’t click what the premise was. Someone explain to me why I was shocked when the main plot finally started?
Anyway, I loved reading an enemies to lovers where they actually had a reason to hate each other and it’s not because they’re trying to kill each other.
I loved how honest and realistic her relationship with her mom is where they’re not besties but they don’t hate each other either because sometimes you just are mom and daughter.
I loved Henry. I don’t know what it was about him but I loved him.
I loved how little smut there was.
The only thing I didn’t like was the science. I skipped over it anytime I could. I also don’t understand how they fixed everything but it doesn’t matter. All is well that ends well!

Book: 5 ⭐️
Imagine meeting the love of your life but then end up hating each other. On top of this you get to switch bodies. This is exactly what happens to Serena „Ducky“ and Henry.
From there all sorts of funny but also sad things happen. Sarah Ready writes amazing quirky yet deep characters. Switched is a fun easy to read romance that I would recommend to everyone. I loved that we met the characters from book one again but this works as a standalone as well. Loved every bit of it. It’s 5 ⭐️ from me.
Thanks to #netgalley and the publisher to provide me with an e-arc and audiobook of #Switched in exchange for my honest. review.

This one didn’t have the connection that I was looking for in this read, which led me to have a hard time connecting and enjoying this read. There are a few moments that I was going to DNF because of that. I was able to push through and get to the end and upon finishing this and realizing that I only liked the read was they have a sort of meet cute and have an insta love that has a Freaky Friday vibe.

4 stars! ⭐
This book was unlike anything I've ever read, and I loved every second of it!
I couldn't put this book down—it transported me to a cozy, unique world set in Scotland. The whole premise is like a version of Freaky Friday. And lord, do I love Henry. It was also fascinating to see the diagrams and charts Serena made.
Henry is such a sweet character, and the fact that he's British added to his charm. The atmosphere of the book was incredibly cozy, and the side characters, especially Vinny, were hilarious. The chemistry between Henry and Serena was delightful, and their funny habit of drinking fifty cups of tea and coffee every day added a nice touch. The book was well-written and easy to read, and I appreciated seeing ghosting represented in a book—it made me emotional but in a good way. The story carried a wonderful message about love: you don't need to fear it because you already love something with your whole heart. Love doesn't have to devour you; you can love multiple things.
However, I did have a few dislikes. Serena's personality was initially off-putting as she often talked about her attractiveness and how all the men wanted her. Her character felt a bit shallow at first, but she redeemed herself later on. The constant science talk was confusing and felt unnecessary at times. Lorna was a character I could have done without. The scenes where the characters were essentially kissing themselves felt odd, though I understood why it happened.

This book was everything. A light hearted story with a plot very similar to freaky Friday, and a heartwarming character development.

I didn't know that this series could get better, but it did. It has a whole freaky Friday big bang theory vibe that was so unique. I loved the banter, the storyline, the characters, and the ending 😍 you can't go wrong with a quirky FMC and a hot nerd MMC. I loved the touches of family, seeing bits of the friendship and characters from book one, and the saved cat 🐈 if you like tropes 👉 forced proximity, he falls first, magical realism, cat 🐈, STEM characters
