I didn’t finish this! l just couldn’t get into! I felt like it was all over the place from the beginning and it wasn’t grabbing my attention!

This book had me CACKLING at parts!!!
Also had I woken up in a male body I’d start doing jumping jacks in grey sweats just to watch it bounce!

And that curveball that was thrown in!!!! The way it went from her basically sacrificing herself just so he could live, TO HIM SPEAKING IN CHAPTER 40!!!!


I was absolutely hollering!!! I think for a solid 5 minutes!! And then my mouth hung open for another 5 !!


But I’m so happy everything worked out in the end for them both!!! They deserve it all!!!!

Personally, I love a Freaky Friday concept and Switched was no exception. I didn’t realise until I’d finished that this is the second instalment in a series, so I will be checking out the previous title.

I massively enjoyed the casual, funny writing style. It made a subject (atom smashing) incredibly easy to understand and go along with.

The narration by Kelsey Navarro Foster was fantastic, I will be searching out more books narrated by her.

Serena and Henry have great chemistry (the insta-love may put some people off), the plot relies on the miscommunication trope a little bit more than I would like, which is why this is 4.5 stars.

Overall, I had a great time listening to Switched! Thank you again to the publisher and NetGalley.

"Switched" by Sarah Ready delivers a delightful blend of Freaky Friday vibes, workplace rivalry, and fake dating tropes that kept me engaged from start to finish. While the heavy focus on technical science terms at the beginning initially lost me, I thoroughly enjoyed the protagonists' journey of navigating their switch and finding a way back. As the second installment in the "Ghosted" series, this audiobook offers an entertaining listen, and I can't wait to dive into book 3.

This was truly one of those books that the author reels you in with their writing style. I received the audiobook format, but the author truly has a way with words. It automatically made me want to go find and devour every book this author has written. The characters are so perfect in their own, so different in personalities and everything. It was wild that they switched bodies, I was like how is this going to work if they're going to date one another but also themselves as it's their own bodies they're dating while they're in the other person's body. It was a crazy concept, but the author did it justice. Super fun, quirky, and interesting. I loved that the FMC was smart and goal driven, not the weak damsel in distress a lot of other authors paint FMCs out to be. Both of the narrators did the main characters justice. A wonderful read all around!

Switched was such a fun book!! This was freaky Friday type romance book, which was a first for me! I liked the nerdy/science aspect of it. The main character Serena loves physics and Star Trek as an example of the nerdy aspect. Serena meets the other main character Henry in a hilarious way and they hit it off. Until Serena realizes that Henry will be her new boss. The story from there is a wild ride. They end up having a freaky Friday type event and getting switched into each other bodies. I laughed quite a bit throughout this book! I enjoyed listening and through they did an excellent job narrating the story! I would definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys rom coms. This was a cute, fun rom-com book! I did the audio of this and enjoyed it. It did take a minute to get into (I think trying to place who was who was tricky for me for some reason) but once I got into it, I enjoyed it!

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to finish this book. The premise is intriguing and, while the writing was quick and energetic, I wasn't able to connect with the characters at all. To be fair, I only made it to Chapter 5, but the amount of "spice" in the book, both the discussion and the act, was too much and way too early considering we just met these people (and they just met each other). Clearly, I'm not the target audience for this book.

As I said before, though, the writing is quick, energic, and quirky, the female lead is smart (even if she does like to talk about it a bit much), and the premise sounds like a lot of fun. However, if the beginning of the book was any indication about the rest of the book, there was no way I was going to enjoy it.

I was intrigued by this book as someone who would die for freaky friday and rom coms. The story was super light and easy to read, but unfortunately I didn’t find myself having that NEED TO READ feeling, and didn’t feel super attached to either of the characters.

That being said, the storyline was super cute. I loved Serena and Henry meeting each other’s parents, and I always enjoy mentions of STEM and nerdiness in romance!

I think this book had the bones of a great page turner but lacked the amount of character development and relationship building to get me all the way there. The deep dive into Serena’s parents relationship and past was what I was hoping for throughout the book to really connect with the character.

I adored " Switched " 's seamless blend of humour and romance, notably the sci-fi rom-com elements that had me laughing out loud throughout the story. Sarah Ready's writing brings the characters to life with banter, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the narrative.
Serina and Henry's journey, from their quirky meeting to the chaos of switching bodies, is a rollercoaster of fun.

The author's ability to create engaging characters and dynamic interactions solidifies her as one of my favourite authors. The banter between the characters is witty and relatable, making it a joy to follow their escapades.

The audiobook narration by Kelsey Navarro Foster and James Anderson Foster enhances the overall experience. While Kelsey predominantly carries the narrative due to the story's focus on Serina's perspective, both narrators bring their A-game to the production. However, I found it peculiar that the male narrator had a limited role in the narration, as having both narrators could have added an extra layer to the storytelling.

This sci-fi rom-com is a must-read (or listen) for those seeking a perfect blend of humour, romance, and unexpected twists. 🌌💕

I really enjoyed this audiobook and the narrators Kelsey Navarro Foster and James Anderson Foster. They kept a good pace, had an enjoyable tone and were easy to listen to.So why not a 5 star you ask? The very core of the book was based on the premise of love at first sight. When I hear I love you the day I meet someone (aka immediately after sex) my eye rolls begin and you lose me. However, I persevered and found it to be quite an enjoyable experience.

I really liked the story line and the switching of bodies was different from any I had read before. Having a chance to experience life in another’s body with their cravings is quite unique and gives a different perspective to both the character and the reader. Throw in some family drama and I found myself laughing along with the characters.

Serena is a very career focused scientist who wants to stay single and focus on her first love - physics. Henry, on the other hand, wants to find his one true love! The fire ignites when they meet, but soon Henry’s declaration has Serena running for her life. The love / hate relationship that follows is full of hilarious innuendos and a provides a great platform to reflect from.

This wasn’t my favorite - I love the idea of a body swap with nerdy scientists, but it got weird and I just had a bad vibe almost the whole time. It is a bummer tho because I really like her writing.

I love this series! It does a perfect job portraying the complexity that is love, but in the funniest, most magical way. I love the characters and their development in this one. I would recommend this to any and everyone.

i really like the narrators as well, especially the female narrator really has a nice and soothing voice. they also really convey the humor of the book

The story is interesting and could be enjoyable on its own. My problem was that there was too much other fluff and terms in there to be able separate the story from the “concepts and science”.

I wish the characters were more enjoyable, specially the female character.

It gives Freaky Friday, with some romance and geeky spin to it. It could be really fun if you can look past the fluff.

This book was your classic love story - but with a twist! A young independent woman finds herself in a sticky situation - pun intended - and winds up turning to a handsome stranger for help. Little did she know their lives would intertwine, but would it be forever?

Serena and Henry are complete opposites in just about every way. But, when they find themselves switched they need to work together to figure out how to reverse the effects, or at least stick together and learn how to be the other.

This book gave me all the small town live story vibes I needed with a few plot twists sprinkled in! Don’t forget the drama at every turn, you’re in for a wild romantic ride!

Thank you so much for the opportunity to listen to Switched by Sarah Ready. I was excited to read it as I always enjoy her stories, but his one was a flop for me. I did not enjoy it. I know it is kind of a remake of Freaky Friday with a love story instead of mother-daughter, but everything was weird, didn't make sense at all. The narrators were amazing and did a wonderful job. I loved their voice.

It was so cute! The ending was perfectly done I was shocked at how well this was done. The female main character is the lead in the narration as well I did an ALC of this book and she was great! The tiny bit we got of the male narrator was great as well. I wish we had more from him! The plot was freaky Friday meets science/magic it was funny, and sad and made me tear up which I wasn’t expecting. Reverse grumpy/ sunshine, British and American, MMC falls first, STEM Romance and such a powerful message. I highly recommend it does have a bit of spice at the very end.

Serena is a physicist who works and lives in Geneva, Switzerland. One night, she meets a British man named Henry at the pub she frequents. They hit it off and end up having a one night stand; however, when morning arrives and Serena realizes not only does Henry have deeper feelings than she would like, he happens to also be her new boss. Once it’s discovered by both that they don’t have the same intentions for each other, they end up not getting along. Two years go by disliking one another, when one night while working on a project during a lightning storm, the two end up switching bodies.

I listened to Switched on audio, and it was a very entertaining rom-com. The plotline was unique to me, as I’ve never read a book before where the woman and the man switch places. That element brings humor, and allows the two main characters to be more empathetic for one another which draws them closer together. It’s also interesting that while they cohabit the body of the other, they seem to be capable of knowing memories and feelings of that person. For example, Serena can have flashes of Henry in his childhood home and the way he felt in that memory.

The narrator of the audiobook did well in voicing both main characters. She was great too at maintaining them even when they were switched. It helped me to visualize Serena being in Henry’s body and the other way around.

There are a couple of things I did not like about the book. These are more personal preference when it comes to romance novels. Switched is very much an insta-love story. Doesn’t matter if the 1st time they meet and the time they switch places is 2 years, because at the end of the day they did have one romantic night and then manage to mostly avoid one another for 2 years before having to spend time together due to the switch. And this switch only lasts for a couple of weeks.

The other thing that bothered me–and honestly, this is truly a me problem–is when a person’s scent is described as being something intangible. In this case, Serena keeps mentioning Henry smells like starlight.

Switched is an overall likable romance book. It kept me invested in it the whole time I listened, and I say give it a try especially if you like fluffy love stories. I would recommend this book also to those who like Ali Hazelwood books.

“Switched” by Sarah Ready is a delightful listen that delivers exactly what you would expect for a romance novel. The story follows two physicists who meet in a not so believable scene and have a not so believable insta-love connection. While the plot may not be par to scientific believably, the storytelling keeps you engaged throughout the book.

The story does have a “Freaky Friday” vibe that I enjoyed and the narration by the FMC did make me want to continue with the book. I finished the audiobook in less than 24 hrs and was a perfect choice for a cozy evening or relaxing commute.
