First - thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this audiobook arc in exchange for an honest review.
Switched starts as a cross between Freaky Friday and an Ali Hazelwood book, but becomes a more unique story from there. Serena, aka Ducky, is a prodigy whose career is her number one priority above everything, including love. Her job has her working close to one of her prior one-night stands, her boss Henry. The only time she had feelings beyond satisfying bodily needs. After a freak storm and some science (or magic?), the two of them switch bodies. These scientists don't get much time to figure out what happened when they quickly need to get to family events and a whirlwind experience.
Sarah Ready did such a great job keeping straight all the odd details of what it could be to switch bodies and even be attracted to the other person (who is you?). This highlights different perspectives and what we only know as our own world until we essentially walk in another person's shoes - in this case, quite literally. The narrators of the audiobook did a great job navigating the different accents which was an extra layer of complication in the story.
This is the second book in the Ghosted series but works fine as a stand-alone as well. This is my first Sarah Ready novel and I will check out more from her. I had a good time with this book and enjoyed reading such a different type of story in a romance!

I was intrigued by the initial concept, it starts out as a fun, original concept, a bit on the quirky diary-style, think Princess Diaries with the awkward stream of thought, but I didn't connect with how the story was actually told and quickly gave up. The voice work was dynamic and lively, but i was put off by the "grainy" voice of the actress, and I knew i couldn't enjoy the ten hours of it, so no point in forcing myself to listen til the end. :(

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review! This book has humor, romance, science, and personal growth! I loved seeing Serena and Henry's love bloom and was on a rollercoaster with them when they switched bodies! I thought it was really cool that they got to experience each other's emotions and some memories about one another and that helped their love grow! This was a very unique romance and I loved every bit of it!

📖My Thoughts📖
Sarah Ready, you are becoming one of my favorite authors! I don’t know how you are able to crank out so many good romcoms, but please don’t stop! This one was just as good, if not better, than the others I’ve read. What did I like the most about this one? The Freaky Friday vibes, the connection between Henry and Serena and the growth and change of perspective that they both had as a result of having experienced the switch. I received the audiobook version of this book and I really liked the narrators Kelsey Navarro and James Anderson Foster. They kept a good pace throughout the book, were very animated using the perfect amount of emotions and were very captivating keeping me completely enthralled in the story. I love when the narrators are able to bring the story to life and these two did just that.
I really enjoyed reading this. It was fun, cute, a quick and easy read and it just hits you in all the feels. It’s a definite must read for anyone who loved the movie Freaky Friday and/or loves a good romcom! So go grab a hot beverage, a soft cuddly blanket and a copy of this great book!
Thank you Netgalley, Sarah Ready and W. W. Crown, and imprint of Swift & Lewis Publishing, LLC for the opportunity to read and review this book. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫

After absolutely devouring Ghosted, I jumped at the opportunity and immediately requested for Switched as soon as I spotted it on NetGalley.
Firstly, I loved the narrator. She had me hooked from the very beginning and her voice + easy to understand accent actually had me listing to the audiobook at 1.75x speed which was a first for me.. At this point it’s safe to say I’m absolutely in love with the whole magical realism trope because I loved the freaky Friday vibe here. There are several moments that had me cackling in the middle of the night (ref. Chapter 31) I adored Henry! As if being gorgeously British wasn’t enough, his golden retriever vibe had my heart melting and the fact that he was so madly, desperately in love with Selena; who by the way I wanted to punch on several occasions! I get that she was a career oriented woman who was scared of loosing herself if she gave love a chance (I’m a bit like that!) but when you have a man like Henry, saying the things he was saying (ref. my annotations) how can one resist! I would’ve quit any damn thing to be with him (if he wasn’t fictional, or perhaps I was!)
I loved this book, even though I almost lost my mind and bawled my eyes out at one point (ref. Chapter 38) These two took me on a roller coaster ride and I would let them do it all over again! So yes, obviously you cannot miss this one.

Cute, quirky, and humorous! Fans of Ali Hazelwood and Emily Henry will love this story. I like RomComs but I LOVE RomComs that are science based and have strong, brilliant female MCs! Thank you #NetGalley for the opportunity to read this one, I'm happy to add a new author to my must read list.

Nerdy little romance about two people who are so destined for each other but so vastly different there’s no way they’ll work. What happens when they swap bodies? Life suddenly becomes a lot more interesting.
Switched by Sarah Ready is funny and sweet. The fact that Serena and Henry are so drawn to each other yet so different is comical. Yet the way their relationships changes and evolves is magical and legendary. There is a lightheartedness to Serena and Henry's strange situation that lightens the deep and introspective look at love and how people are forever shaped by the forces around them.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book which was made even more realistic in audiobook format. Kelsey Navarro Foster's narration of Serena's perspective made Serena feel like your sarcastic best friend. Hearing Henry's perspective towards the end of the book felt unexpected but allowed the listener to understand him a little bit better.

How unique! I loved Ghosted (my fave of the two in the series so far), but Switched was definitely an interesting spin on the Freaky Friday storyline!
Sarah Ready has quickly become a go-to author for me - you can always count on her to give you an excellent storyline and make you think and bring the drama without giving an emotional breakdown. Switched is one of her more quirky tales! I love that she’s brought in the body-swap idea for a couple that had magic and great sparks at first meeting but quickly discovered that they were new work colleagues so it couldn’t go further, until a freak accident at the Large Hadron Collider one lightning storm caused them to swap bodies and they got a really unique perspective on each other’s lives, including seeing their memories, attending the others big life events, experiencing their own preferences - super interesting!
Definitely recommend it to all, especially fans of Ready’s other works, including but most especially Ghosted! It’s not one to be missed!
Audio is narrated by my favourite couple - Kelsey Navarro Foster and James Anderson Foster. They did a spectacular job as always, but he only had a small role (I absolutely love Kelsey and I know the book was written the way it was for a reason, but would have loved to hear more of James)!
I received an advance read and listen copy from NetGalley and W.W. Crown (an Imprint of Swift & Lewis Publishing), Members' Titles and Audiobooks, and this is my honest feedback.

4.25/5 stars
1.5/5 spice
I loved the first book so much that I just had to listen to the second one. If you're a fan of STEM in romance, then you'll enjoy this one.
Tropes:
Freaky Friday body switch
Opposites attract
One night stand
Physicist MCs
Insta-love/He falls first
Love averse heroine
Forced proximity
Fake dating
Single POV
I really enjoyed the journey these two went on. I'm not a fan of insta-love tropes, but I think it worked well with the plot. The narrators did a great job with bringing the characters to life. Overall, it was a fun read, and I loved it. Highly recommend for fans of sci-fi romance and STEM romance.
Thank you to Netgalley and W.W. Crown for an ALC. All thoughts and opinions are my own and offered voluntarily.

Sweet!
Different!
Also…brings to reality the thoughts so many of us have/had about relationships and vulnerability…and how much easier it might be to just put up a wall… 😕
Serena and Henry are from two very different worlds.
Serena is a mess. She is fun loving, free spirited, a California girl, and never wants to be tied down. Her apartment is a collaboration of everything she’s dropped on the floor as she goes…She loves physics, her family, espresso, tofu and her cat…Purrk.
Henry is British, quiet, a neat freak, and wants to settle down with the right woman and spend his life with her…quietly. He loves physics, dogs, his family, red meat, tea and biscuits.
When they meet, the universe shifts!
It’s amazing! It’s wonderful!
Or…is it a mistake?
Serena retreats when she realizes who he is.
Henry is left speechless…
And so we begin the book… Yes…that was the opening!!
At this point my mouth is hanging open, and my heart drops to the floor…
And then I feel like it was quiet for a while….
When we start to see things really pick up again, there is some type of an electrical storm (at least that’s what I’m calling it…)
The world once again “shakes”… but this time when they come through it…they’ve switched places! (And no, I’m not giving anything away. This is clearly stated on the description…)
But what follows…is incredible!
The scenes painted out for us, in full color, well…just wow!
And the scenarios that come about… mouth…hanging…open.
Not going to give anymore away…let’s just say that the third “electrical storm” will shake YOU!
And in the end, well, all seems to be right with the world. ❤️
Oh…and I Love the Cover!! 💗💙🤍💜

Thanks so much for reading!📚⭐️📖

If I could give this more stars I would. Henry and Serena switch bodies and try to get back to themselves by learning more about the other. There was quite a bit of science in this book which I think is what lacks in some Ali Hazelwood books which I think then rivals them. The spicy-ness is not all that bad which is interesting as they are in an opposite sex body. Granted it's not closed door but it's not bad. Serena narrates most of the book. I wish Henry had some more chapters because I would love to get inside his head more. However Serena has this sense of humor which both me and Henry loved. The author uses footnotes which took me a while to get used to but ended up liking. Overall this book was a little cheesy but I felt was wholesome and down to earth.
I did get this from NetGalley so thanks to them and the publisher for giving me this wonderful book. I did not read Ghosted the first book in the series which at a couple points was confusing but this book is standalone otherwise. I look forward to reading more Sarah Ready books!

This was just plain cute. A “Freaky Friday”-esque, lovers-turned enemies- turned lovers romcom, that literally bursts with energy. If you read the first book in the series, you probably were delighted to see Serena getting her own book. I personally was really intrigued by our bestie over in Switzerland, so when I saw this book, I needed to read it asap. The concept is really fresh and fun, and frankly I’m surprised no one has written a romcom in this style before. (Maybe I’m wrong, but I haven’t heard of any). I also really loved the use of footnotes, which had me cackling whilst listening to the audiobook. It felt like we were really in Serena’s quirky brain. Overall it was just really fun and a breeze to listen to. 4 ⭐️
Thank you NetGalley, and the publisher for this arc audiobook, in exchange for my unbiased review.

Loved this! If you take Big Bang Theory, and Ali Hazelwood stem filled love store, and Freaky Friday, and sandwich them all together- you get SWITCHED! Henry and Serena are such lovable characters. The plot was unique, the slow burn was burning, and the self discovery was incredible. It had humor, love, heartache, and nerd speak. The narrator was great. Trying to sort through who was thinking what about who during the audio when they were switched was a challenge for the mind, but overall it was a great read.

"Switched" by Sarah Ready is an entertaining and delightfully quirky audiobook that explores the complexities of love, identity, and the unpredictability of the universe.
The audiobook is brought to life by engaging narration and dynamic character performances, drawing listeners into Serena and Henry's world of scientific exploration and romantic entanglement. The author's witty and humorous writing style keeps the story lighthearted and entertaining, while also touching on deeper themes of acceptance, connection, and the power of love.
"Switched" is a refreshing and imaginative take on the classic body-switch trope, offering a fresh perspective on the age-old question of what it means to truly understand someone else. With its charming characters, clever plot twists, and heartfelt moments, this audiobook is sure to leave listeners smiling and satisfied.

Thank you to @netgalley and @W.w Crown for the Arc. This was a very cute and different take on the classic movie Freaky Friday. I loved it. I could not imagine being switched into a mans body and have to live his life as if nothing is wrong. The mutual pining was heartbreaking, as were many of the scenes with their loved ones, while they were in the wrong bodies. This is a must read.

Like every Sarah Readys' book I loved it. It gript me from the first moment tillthe end.
Love the story line. 4 stars read.

I feel slightly misled when I saw there were two audiobook narrators and the male narrator literally only does one chapter. Sigh.
Otherwise the story has a decent premise, moderate spice level, but the beginning chapter was eye rolling to me and I had a hard time getting into the story from that. Narrators were good but just didn’t knock it out of the park for me.
Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for this eaudio arc.

Totally unrealistic but great fun! #Switched by #SarahReady is an enchanting rom-com where a bizarre event has physicists Henry & Serena switching bodies (yes, like Freaky Friday - but this one is not for kids!). When Henry first meets Serena as "Ducky" at a bar, they share an intimate evening and Henry is convinced it is love at first sight. Serena doesn't believe in that kind of love and ends it with Henry the next day, right after finding out he's going to be her new boss on Monday! Time flies by without us learning about the elephant in the room until at work one night, particles collide and the two switch bodies. Then the whole story reveals itself while chaos and hilarity ensue! Thanks to #NetGalley for the eARC.

When I picked this up I did not realise that this book would reprise characters from Sarah Ready's novel ghosted, but I was delighted! Serena was one of my favourite characters from the last book so it was great to be able to follow her path to love with a gorgeous Brit. Similar to the first book there is a crazy event that causes these two to come together in a way that will defy modern science. I loved the physics, Geneva and the CERN in this book. Sarah does a wonderful job of weaving this all together into a delightful love story. I listened to this as an audiobook and the narrators, Kelsey Navarro Foster and James Anderson Foster, were fabulous! Will there be more? I hope so!
Big thanks to Netgalley, W. W. Crown, Independent Book Publishers Association, and Sarah Ready for this early release audiobook copy in exchange for my honest review

Serena is married to her job. She likes men just fine but would prefer her job over marrying a man. When she has a one night stand with Henry and he confesses to possibly falling in love with her, the door doesn't even have time to hit her on her behind.
When he shows up to work as her new boss, she tries to avoid him. After a freak accident at work, they end up in each other's bodies. Now they have to find a way back into their own.
Opinion
I loved the movie Freaky Friday (original version) growing up. This book plays into my love of that movie but is way funnier. (Imagine waking up as the opposite sex, what would you do first?) I got the best laugh out of Henry experiencing PMS as a woman. Honestly, this book is just downright funny and awkward and stressful and a great read.
I listened to the audio. The narrators were priceless. I loved hearing them switch back and forth between Serena's American accent and Henry's English accent. I was quite impressed they could both pull it off.
Many thanks to Net Galley for providing me with an ARC of this book.
