3.5/5

This volume is action-packed and has some fun new characters and arcs being introduced. I also liked the development of our lead. I think she has so real potential to be an amazing character with some bad-ass future fights. It’s nice to see her struggling to learn her powers though, instead of being an instant master.

I’m sure by the end of the series I’ll understand everything. But there’s still soooo much going on here. The panels are jam packed with action and dialogue. I get a little confused sometimes. But I definitely can’t wait to continue reading this series.

Blade of the Moon Princess continues to be a fun mix of scifi, action and politics. The action continues to remain fluid and easy to follow, but the family politics of the moon people was always been my draw point for the series, and it's nice to see it shined on a little more. While the bones of this series is very much a remix of an old tale, it still stands on its own feet quite well. You don't need to know the tale of Kaguya in and out to like this series, but it does read differently if you're familiar with it.
