A new luxury resort is being developed on a beautiful remote island off the coast of Hawaii, the crew are left for weeks on end to fend for themselves, teamwork and trust are key.
Frankie is a self-confessed lone wolf from nowhere, her specialty hobby is finding missing people, her latest mission has brought her to this island on the word of a convicted murderer – what could go wrong?
I enjoyed this book immensely, it was fast paced, dramatic, had a lovely pinch of sarcasm and humour. The characters were pretty loveable, well the ones that didn’t kill people!
I was never quite sure what the next move was going to be, the ultimate page turner – Brilliant.

My Thoughts: this is the first Frankie Elkin book I’ve read, but luckily for me it made sense as a stand-alone

The book opens with one hell of a prologue, it does job of reeling you in and leaving you excited to find out more.

I found it a little slow going after Frankie was on the atoll, it was more about meeting the selection of characters and getting to know the island and its other inhabitants, the descriptions of the surroundings were beautiful and really made it easy to picture it in your mind whilst you were reading!

I really appreciated how the comradeship between certain characters throughout the book, some of them could be trusted from the outset whilst others took some warming up to, I’ll let you figure out who was who!

The real action didn’t really start until maybe the last 1/3 of the book, but it’s at that point that you realise just how many lies and secrets have been weaved into the story and then the book really had sunk its teeth into you.

Definitely one that is worth the read and not to be taken lightly.

This was a fabulous read, it gripped me from start to finish from action packed moment to moment. It was a different setting than I have usually read about and it added to the suspense and intrigue. I liked the characters (mostly) and loved as the plot came together an exceptional read.

Still See You Everywhere is, I believe the third in the series following the adventures of Frankie, an alcoholic managing by the skin of her teeth to stay sober whilst intent on following her 'hobby' of tracking down missing persons, but it works just as well as a standalone novel.
As is usual for Lisa Gardner this book is high on detail of the environment, which in this case is a remote atoll off Hawaii whose main inhabitants are less than friendly crabs. The characters are varied and colourful and the mystery has more twists and turns than you could shake a stick at. A great read!
My thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for my copy.

I’ve being reading Lisa Gardner books for many years now especially her D.D. Warren series and I consider her to be one of the best crime authors around, up there with the likes of Karin Slaughter, Patricia Cornwell and Tess Gerritsen.

“Still See You Everywhere” is book three in the missing persons ‘investigator’ series “Frankie Elkin”. I haven’t read the previous two books yet (I will) but this reads easily as a stand-alone, as other than a few mentions of previous cases there’s no obvious follow on.

I love all things Hawaii, so I particularly enjoyed the remote location setting of an atoll in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Hawaii. This tense thriller was superbly set and I thought the theme of the habitat was something that truly added to the atmospheric tension. The author used the ecological restoration of rehabilitating coral reefs and the protection of the wildlife (though maybe one too many wolf spiders and coconut crabs for my liking!) as the perfect ‘locked in’ location. With the lack of communication and general access to the mainland, food supplies and basic domesticities, life was hard and suited introvert loners but is everyone who they say they are?

The ‘Beautiful Butcher’ conjured up all sorts of imaginative thoughts and the idea of her past crimes was truly chilling. I certainly don’t fancy eating pork anytime soon!

A well thought out plot, outstandingly executed and with perfect narration, this book was addictive, gripping, tense and engaging and if you haven’t read any of Lisa Gardner’s books before, now’s your chance!

The next Frankie Elkin book finds her on a remote atoll off Hawaii looking for a convicted serial killer’s daughter. Once there, she soon stumbles upon a skeleton and realizes there might be more going on than she realized.

This was a pretty good mystery! It was a little slow to get going but then took off pretty well. I think there were some good twists I didn’t see coming.

I received my copy from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

This is the first book that I have read by Lisa Gardiner so I haven't got others to compare it to, I got the feeling when reading it that I had missed previous books in a series but the cover didn't denote that.
Frankie Elkin is asked by a lawyer to visit a prisoner on death row, a prisoner known as "The Beautiful Butcher" due to her macabre way of killing her victims.
Before Kaylee Pearson, who had escaped an abusive childhood, is executed she wanted Frankie, who is nomadic and has a talent for finding missing people, to find the sister that she hasn't seen since she was snatched away as a five year old by ultra wealthy Sanders MacManus.
Frankie finds herself on a remote tropical Hawaiian island, working for the owner.......Sanders MacManus.
MacManus is constructing an eco friendly luxury resort for the rich and famous but it is in the early stages, Frankie is told that the owner and his beautiful seventeen year old ward make frequent flying visits, she has to find from the handful of core site workers who she can trust.
This book has the bones of a really good story and I did enjoy reading it but for me there was a bit too much emphasis on the fauna and the crabs, my main problem was that I really didn't gel with Frankie's character, perhaps if I had read the previous books it would have been better but I found a lot of what Frankie did and how she did it really unbelievable and naive. I would have given the book 3.5 but I rounded it up to 4.
Thank you Net Gallery for my ARC, my review is totally voluntary.

Still See You Everywhere is the third book in the authors Frankie Elkin series but my first one to read, it can definitely be read as a standalone but I will absolutely be going back to read books one and two as I really enjoyed this one.

This had everything I love in a Crime Thriller, it's dark, a bit disturbing & messed up with lots of suspense and twists. Th plot line of a serial killer on death row seeking out her abducted sister & Frankie going undercover to track her down is such a clever & unique story & the author wrote it so well. Frankie is an amazing main character, she has her many flaws but her strength, fight & powerful empathy for others will make you fall in love with her.

I was pulled into this book from the very beginning & my attention was gripped to the very end. A thoroughly enjoyable read full of suspense, darkness & thrills while also full of emotion & pulls on the heartstrings.

This is a great novel with so much interesting detail and well-drawn characters that I read it in no time.

The plot is centred around the Beautiful Butcher - a woman who is about to be executed after having murdered around 18 men. Her lawyer approaches Frankie, a woman who specialises in locating missing persons, because Kaylee (the Butcher) wants to find her missing sister Lea, who she claims was abducted by her former lover - a super rich, powerful man called MacManus.

Frankie is the real draw and the story is told from her perspective. I'm aware that this isn't Frankie's first outing and so will now be reading Gardner's other Frankie Elkin books, because she is a brilliant character. A recovering alcoholic who has gone through various traumas, she's still funny, intelligent and perceptive. Her battle with the desire to drink is very well described.

Frankie ends up on a remote island, which MacManus is hoping to turn into a tourist site, and this really adds to the book. It's fascinating just to be taken to a whole other place where the rules and conditions of life are totally different to what we are used to. First is the remorseless heat, which means people on the island are either sweaty or drenched in tropical rain constantly, meaning a risk of mould growing on the skin! Then there is the wildlife - including the terrifying coconut crabs that are enormous and predatory.

I think it was a fantastic idea to choose this setting because it adds so much that is different and interesting to any other thriller that I'm likely to read.

But back to the plot. Kaylee has described an abusive relationship with MacManus and an abusive childhood growing up with a violent father. She claims she rescued Lea from her parents, only to have MacManus snatch her. But as Frankie makes contact with Lea on the island, she begins to wonder whether Kaylee's version of events is actually the real one.

I really would recommend this book because it has a great cast of characters that are truly believable, multi-faceted and intriguing. Lea and Kaylee are great, as are the other residents of the island, especially Ann and Trudy, two older women that seem to keep much of the island going, and Vaughn, the project manager who Frankie is increasingly drawn to.

I really enjoyed the fact that Gardner does not do simple happy endings, or uncomplicated developing relationships. Instead, things are messy. But the relationship between Frankie and Vaughn is really nicely done.

The plot is also very well done, complex and with enough uncertainties to keep a reader guessing. I will definitely be reading more of Lisa Gardner.

2.5 stars. Rounded down because I just can’t give it 3.
I really don’t know what to say about this.
I was hooked at the start. Female serial killer who butchers her male victims. I’m in. Then it went rapidly downhill. I was bored as soon as the protagonist reached the atoll. Too much detail. I know there’s scenes to be set, but blimey. If I ever hear the words Coconut Crab again, it will be too soon.
I’m finding it difficult to express why I didn’t like this, I just didn’t. I didn’t find the protagonist endearing and I wouldn’t be interested in reading the next book. Just not for me I guess.

Still See You Everywhere is the latest book in the Frankie Elkin series. She is continuing with her passion for finding missing people, but this one is slightly different as the request comes from prolific serial killer, 'the Beautiful Butcher', who faces execution in a few weeks.
The killer's younger sister was kidnapped over a decade ago and she has received a lead, which she shares with Frankie. The search takes Frankie to a remote island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean where she goes undercover as a worker, whilst getting to know her colleagues. The island is full of secrets and a storm is coming, which will cut it off completely.

I always love Lisa Gardner's books, the stories are always excellent as is her writing style; this book was no different. I absolutely loved the setting, a remote atoll is a great location for this kind of story and I could imagine it perfectly - I especially loved the crabs! I am already invested in Frankie's story, so I'm always keen to see what she gets up to next. I don't think this was my favourite of the series, but I still thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend Lisa's books to anyone who appreciates a great thriller.

My thanks to NetGalley and the Publishers for sending me this ARC in return for an honest review.

I have read other Lisa Gardner books and loved them but I haven’t read this series. I liked Frankie as a character and would enjoy her looking for the missing. However this particular book just didn’t hit the mark for me. It was a slow start, far fetched with a further fetched ending.

I like the way this author writes her books. They are usually crisp, concise, with strong storyline and a good interesting range of characters. This latest book met all my expectations. It was exciting, pacy and kept me guessing.
Enjoyable read.

This is the third book in the series but works well as a standalone if you haven't read the others.
I had read the others and found them engaging, this one less so. I found the first two books hard to put down but this one didn't grab me in the same way, maybe it was the subject matter? A traumatic and abusive childhood indicated right from the start of the book, lots of natural history slowing the pace in the middle and an action packed but not altogether believable ending.
I've enjoyed the author's other books and will continue to read her but this book was not for me.

This is one of a series but can be read as a standalone. Francie is good at finding missing people. She isn't police or a private investigator, just good at looking. When Kaylee, aka the Beautiful Butcher, is weeks from execution and asks her to find her little sister and rescue her from Kaylee's ex Sanders McManus. Kaylee believes he is holding her against her will.
So Frankie finds herself as staff on a Hawaian island owned by McManus which is going to be a luxury resort. But thi gs are nowhere they seem.
Gripping, flowed well, relatable characters, well researched, plausible.
You'll never look at crabs in the same way again.

A gripping hard to put down read. A young woman who specialises in finding missing people. A tropical island. A serial killer. What more could you want. This is a claustrophobic thrill of a ride. It is graphic and cleverly twisted.
Lisa Gardner is a brilliant author who is not afraid to write outside the box. I certainly look forward to reading more and await her next one with baited breath

I love this series! This was another great installment in the Frankie Elkin series, and I also loved the fact that Wolfie the spider and flower-loving Crabby were based on real creatures!

"My name is Frankie Elkin. I go where I'm needed most, but I never stay. I'm an excellent listener, but a terrible sharer."

Frankie Elkin, a recovering alcoholic, is obsessed with finding missing people. When she is approached by the legal representative of the infamous Beautiful Butcher, her curiosity is piqued.

Keahi Pierson is on death row for dismembering eighteen men and feeding them to her pigs, but she wants to find her missing sister before she dies. She is convinced her sister is in grave danger and knows who has her.

This is how Frankie ends up on a remote island in the middle of the Pacific —an island owned by the prominent tech mogul Sanders MacManus.

Her job is to make contact with Lea and get news out to Keahi, but soon things spiral out of control. A dead body is found, and not everyone is who they seem to be. Who is responsible for the sabotage of the ongoing work on the island, and what are their underlying motivations?

"Still waters run homicidally deep."

A brilliant read that can be read as a standalone.

EXCERPT: 'Victoria says you find missing people.' Beside me, Twanow nods. She has a legal pad out and looks like she is taking notes. Keahi continues, 'People no one else is looking for.'
'I specialise in working missing persons cold cases.'
'But you're not a private investigator?'
'No.'
'Are you a computer hacker, someone who can discover a speck of sand in the desert just by following its purchase patterns on the internet?'
'Don't even own a smart phone.'
Keahi frowns. 'Then what are you?'
'A person with a really obsessive hobby.'
Her frown deepens. 'Victoria says you've found everyone you've ever searched for. How?'
'I ask questions. Lots of questions. Sometimes it's as simple as people being willing to talk so many years later, sometimes it's that I'm not the police, making neighbors in certain communities more willing to disclose the truth.' I shrug. 'Once someone starts to talk, I make sure I listen. Not enough people do that any more.'
'How many cases have you solved?'
'Nearly twenty.'
'You brought people home to their families?'
'I brought closure to their families.'
Keahi's lips quirk. She isn't fooled by my answer. Neither am I.

ABOUT 'STILL SEE YOU EVERYWHERE': Frankie Elkin is an expert at finding the missing persons that the rest of the world has forgotten, but even she couldn’t have anticipated this latest request—to locate the long-lost sister of a female serial killer facing execution in three weeks’ time.

She has called herself "death," but people called her the devil.

The case was sensational. Kaylee Pierson had confessed from the very beginning, waived all appeals. Despite the media’s chronicling of her tragic circumstances—the childhood spent with a violent father—no one could find sympathy for “the Beautiful Butcher” who had led eighteen men home from bars before viciously slitting their throats.
Now, with only twenty-one days left to live, Pierson has finally received a lead on the whereabouts of the sister who was kidnapped over a decade ago, and she needs Frankie’s help to find her. The Beautiful Butcher’s offer:

When was the last time your search ended with finding the living?

Unable to resist the chance for a rescue, Frankie takes on Pierson’s request. Twelve years ago, five-year-old Leilani went missing in Hawaii. The main suspect? Pierson’s tech mogul ex-boyfriend, Sanders MacManus. Now, on a remote island in the middle of the Pacific—the site of MacManus’s latest vanity project—fresh evidence has appeared. In order to learn the truth and possibly save a young woman’s life, Frankie must go undercover at the isolated base camp. Her challenge: A dozen strangers. Countless dangerous secrets. Zero means of calling for help. And then the storm rolls in…

MY THOUGHTS: I think I may have gone off isolated tropical island resorts!

Although the action takes some time to get started in this, the third installment of the Frankie Elkin series, when it does kick off, it is relentless! Until then enjoy the various types of crab that abound, including the giant blue coconut crab, the holes in the sand that can easily snap an ankle, the spiders, the mosquitos, constant humidity, tropical downpours, and various other flora and fauna that are described so beautifully. There's no sunbathing on the beach or swimming in the lovely blue lagoons.

It's all work and no play that just might see Frankie Elkin live another day . . .

There are some wonderful characters - Anne and Trudy the cooks; Charlie, the Australian engineer; and Vaughn the head honcho are only a few of them.

I admit to having had to suspend belief in places, but Lisa Gardner writes with such fervor that I could see everything playing out in front of me as I read. There are a few gory scenes - but what else would you expect with an escaped serial killer called the Beautiful Butcher on the island?

If you are looking for an escapist, action packed read - pick this one up. You won't be disappointed.

Although this is the third book in a series, it is easily read alone as the author has provided enough backstory to make this feasible.

⭐⭐⭐⭐.3
