His Double Life by Nicole Trope

Diana loves her husband, Leo, and their ten-year-old twins Rowan and Sawyer. They live in Sydney in a great house and are mostly happy. Diana just wishes that Leo would interact with the boys a little and be home more but Leo is in real-estate and is always working, even when he is at home he is constantly on his phone. Every year Leo has to go away to overnight conferences and Diana suspects he may be cheating while away but has not had the courage to confront him.

Leo thinks he is the best sales man in his real-estate firm and thinks he will be in line to manage the place when his boss retires in a few years’ time. He may love his wife but he cheats on her every chance he gets. He may love his boys but he finds them annoying and far too talkative. He would do anything to make a sale even if it’s illegal. Leo loves going to his conferences and that is where he meets enchanting Serena. Leo becomes so obsessed with Serena he starts meeting her once a week back in Sydney but Serena is not at all what Leo believes her to be.

This book is written from Diana’s, Leo’s and Serena’s point of view.

I love this book it is a great suspense thriller. Another great book by Nicole Trope.

Thank you to Nichole Trope and NetGalley for allowing me to read this book prior to release.

What can I say about Nicole Trope? An author I’ve only recently heard of, but someone who is now amongst my favourite authors. “His Double Life” is an amazing read, with intriguing characters and a storyline that keeps you hanging on and not wanting to let go.

I highly recommend this book and can’t wait to read more from Nicole Trope.

This is perfect for someone new to thrillers or wanting to dip their toes into the genre. It’s interesting without being over the top, not too intense or dark, a slower pace, and is easy to read. There is a little twist at the end but nothing outlandish. If you’re a fan of B.A. Paris or Shari Lapena, I think this would be right up your alley!

This is my second book by Nicole Trope and I loved the first one so much that I was thrilled to receive a copy from NetGalley and Bookouture. I had high hopes for it.

While this book was not as intense as the other book I had read (The Family Across the Street) it definitely didn’t disappoint. The book opens in the present, with what seems to be a fairly happy family of a husband, wife, and twin boys, but things quickly turn dark when one boy doesn’t return from the park right behind his brother. We soon learn that Leo, the husband and father, has done something horrible, but we don’t find out what until much later in the book.

This story is woven together using the past and the present, and the author did a fantastic job of making me feel connection to the characters. Some I really loved, and others left a horrible taste in my mouth.

The author did a fantastic job showing how one bad decision can cause a domino effect, ruining many lives in the aftermath. If you enjoy fast-paced thrillers with a twist thrown in here and there, you’ll definitely want to check this book out!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from me!

Spectacular domestic thriller with lots of twists and turns that you won't see coming! In typical Nicole Trope fashion, comes His Double Life where you think one thing is going on and then the story turns back on itself and there's a completely different situation. Another truly wonderful read!

Many thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for this ARC!

Wow!… Tense and captivating… Full of twists and turns and shocks!… Raced through it, eager to find out the ending – which was just brilliant!’

I raced through this brilliant and unputdownable book. The twists were brilliant and just kept on coming 👏🏻

Diana knows her marriage of 15 years isn’t as good as it once was. The pressure of raising twin boys means that she can’t be the attentive wife that Leo wants.

Well, Leo is more than just a bored, cheating husband - he’s a liar who will trample over anyone to get what he wants and his past is about to catch up with him and Diana will find out the whole truth!

Meanwhile, I was intrigued by Serena and her telephone calls with a convicted killer in jail.

All of the characters were well developed and believable and the pace was spot on. The ending was brilliantly executed - that’s what I call real justice 👏🏻

5 ⭐️ Thanks to Netgalley, Nicole Trope and Bookouture, for an ARC in return for an honest review.

“His Double Life” by Nicole Trope was a well written psychological thriller. This book is fast paced and you just want to keep reading to find out what happened. This book kept me guessing until the very end.
Diana and Leo seem to have a happy life, with two twin boys. When tragedy strikes all the cards come falling down. Leo seems to be hiding something and doesn’t know who to trust. Diana just wants to keep her boys safe. As they work through the events of the past and present they will find out who they really are.
Highly recommend

Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for this ARC.

This book caught my attention from the first chapter, but unfortunately I kind of got bored in the 2nd part. It is an important part of the story but it also kind of dragged for me. Same with the 3rd part, it was interesting but felt it kind of dragged. I found myself skimming through parts 2 and 3 with my eyes just picking up what is important to the story. There were a couple of plot twists but some I was able to figure out.

Now let's talk characters, I was not a fan of Leo from the start and I felt that Diana's character wasn't fully developed. I just know that she is a wife and mother. I kept waiting for her to develop more throughout the story but she didn't. I won't mention the other characters since that will kind of ruin the story.

Now to the ending, it was interesting but not the big bang that I expected. It was kind of disappointing and didn't make much sense. I expected so much more after the way that the story started. It was an interesting read, I don't hate it but I don't love it. I also don't regret reading it even though this review may seem a little bit on the negative side. I may have to look for other books from this author.

Leo and Diane are married with two twin boys. The marriage doesn’t see great. Each time Leo returns home from a conference, Diane smells perfume on his shirt. She knows all about his affairs. Then she gets a text from the woman he’s been sleeping with, Serena. Leo ends up having lots of secrets. There were lots of twists and turns, I never knew what was going to happen next. Leo was definitely my least favorite. He was very immature and needed to grow up. I was shocked by the ending and shacked by Diana’s involvement. I wasn’t expecting that at all! Nicole’s books are always so good! It took me a little while to get into this one. I’m glad I didn’t give up on it. Thank you NetGalley, Nicole and Bookouture for the ARC!

Thanks NetGalley for the ARC of His Double Life by Nicole Trope, published by Bookouture.

Awesome read, Nicole Trope did not disappoint. Great plot, amazing characters, phenomenal twists. Not how I expected the story to go when I started reading, loved it.
The story is told from multiple points of view, but characters are introduced well and there is no confusion as to who is who
Leo is married to Diana, he is a successful real estate agent and lives life large while his wife takes care of the twins and works her full time job. Off he goes to his annual conference where Diana knows he will have his annual fling, but does she really want him to know she knows? Leo is so full of himself and doesn't think anyone can touch him.

I enjoyed this whole novel, however the one spot that was a little unbelievable(Spoiler alert next) was when Melanie etc kidnapped one of Leo's kids and had Leo meet them at a designated location, I didn't feel this particular part of the book was believable or would have forced Leo to admit the truth.
The rest of the novel was great!
I will continue to read Nicole Trope's books!

I look out for books from this author as she certainly doesn't disappoint. Leo and Diane have a great life, lovely house, twin boys and want for nothing.
Hubby has a secret that if it gets out will tear his family apart. When he sleeps with another woman he soon wishes that he hadn't. Someone is out for revenge and wants him to pay for what he got away with. He does everything to keep it from his wife but does she already know.
Yet another enthralling book from this author.

Such a fun tale of revenge!! Diana knows that her husband Leo is cheating on her but she will not let his lies and deceit ruin her. This was such an intriguing story where two stories intersect in such a clever way!

First of all I am a huge fan of nicole trope books. But this was not a book for me. The start of the book was good, but after a while it felt like a bad movie. Thank you to netgalley for letting me read this e arc in exchange for an honest opinion

I really enjoyed this one! I found Peter to be the most endearing of the characters. The story line was fast enough to keep me wanting to read, and slow enough to develope the plot with almost flawless detail.
I felt emotional at times, anger, sadness, and like Melissa I felt a deep compassion for Peter and his sacrifices.
All around this was a fantastic story, with great suspense, memorable characters, and just enough twists to keep you in. Great job.

This one was a wild ride! Had a hard time putting it down because I couldn’t wait to see what was happening next!

Diana and Leo are a married couple with twin boys. All seemed to be well, until it wasn’t. Diana was going to find out what was going on, and oh boy did she ever!

Do you know all the things about your significant others past? Are they keeping secrets from you?
