A very well-written book exploring many different heavy and thought-provoking themes.

What a gloomy book! It was undoubtedly beautifully written, but I found too much philosophical navel-gazing in the first two stories, although I did enjoy the narrative. The third story was plain depressing. I know this is life, but when reading fiction I like to escape. Probably the wrong choice for me, if you'll pardon the reference.

This is a very well-written book, but I struggled to connect with the characters and the three very distinct narratives, which felt more like separate novellas than one narrative. Having said that, I think some of the blame lies with me as this book wasn't the right choice for me. I'm sure it'll find the wide audience it deserves.
