This was a interesting concepts of It Must Be True Then of self discovery and rekindling yourself after getting lost in a relationship. The romance fell a little short for me. I didn't connect with Daisy, I didn't care enough about her story. Just about finished the story by forcing my self. Not the right romance for me but some might like it.

This book started off so strong for me. I was laughing out loud and really enjoying it! Unfortunately, it seemed to drag on and ended up taking me way longer than I had anticipated to finish it. I liked the characters but I felt like it took forever for the story to take place and move along. I love the happy ending but I. needed more to keep me engaged throughout the book.

Daisy Peterson is on a journey of self-discovery after losing both her job, her sister, and her boyfriend all in the same day. Embarrassed by her current situation, she thinks she knows how to combat it by posting all about her life and becoming successful on social media to try and win her ex back. What could possibly go wrong?

This was also an unexpected but fabulous read. I can't wait for more of the same from the lovely Luci as time goes on.

Loved this from start to finish, i couldn't put it down. Once i realised how the flashbacks came into it i found it much easier to read and enjoyed how the story flowed. Definitely one i'd read again

I was a huge fan of Luci Adams’ debut Not That Kind of Ever After and was excited to hear about the upcoming release of It Must Be True Then, and honestly it’s absolutely brilliant.

It Must Be True Then is Daisy Peterson’s story and boy has she had a day of it! Daisy finds herself fired from her job and unceremoniously dumped by her boyfriend within the same 5 minutes. Add to this a huge falling out with her sister and Daisy isn’t having the best time. Whilst looking for new work Daisy considers a stop gap of nannying with the two girls of the very handsome single dad she seems to keep bumping into. Yet the more she is immersed in this close-knit, loving family the move holes start to form in her plan . . . and the closer Daisy gets to someone new, the more she starts to question what the definition of a perfect life really is.

There is so much to love about this novel. As with her debut, Adams has presented us with a brilliant and often hilarious story, but one that has so much more going on as well. This is a story about allowing yourself to question deep rooted believes that you thought kept you safe, but perhaps are more limiting that you first realised. It’s about what we do for those we love, but also about allowing ourselves to be our truest and messiest selves with those who love us. It’s about the bond between sisters, with all the ups and downs that come with it. It reminds us that not everything we see is exactly as it is and to not take things at face value. Honestly, it’s brilliant.

It’s a very cleverly written novel, wherein which through memory flashbacks we learn increasingly more about just how much was going on for Daisy on the day she was fired and how everything was interlinked. It’s one of those stories that comes together so brilliantly, but also one that is impossible to put down because of this.

I love how Adams has given us very real feeling characters that are written with depth, heart and great warmth. I really liked Daisy, she was a wonderful FMC, and Archie is a dream. Bailey and Cara, Archie’s daughters were brilliant and I only wish I had the sassy confidence of Cara.

This was such a great read and I’m left again thinking I can’t wait to see what Adams writes next.
