I realli liked how this story captured how one moment in time can form a last impression for one party, but is so easily forgettable for another.
When a teenaged Pippa is in the library one day she speaks with the popular heart throb Luke who shows her kindness, and Pippa was left nursing a teenage crush!
Now years later they meet again, Luke brings with him his reputation and Pippa her desire to hide her true self from those around her. Slowly over the course of a month they discover each other and come to realise that maybe a month just isnt long enough.

I absolutely loved this heart warming medical romance novel by Carol Marinelli. It was a quick and easy read and the chemistry was sweet and off the charts. I highly recommend it.

I received an ARC from NetGalley and Mill and Boone and return for an honest review.

I always enjoy this authors work. She creates fabulous characters who become very real and engaging..

I really like the premise of this story, and I thought that as usual CM executed the plot development with great skill and lots of emotion

Poor Pippa has a very sad backstory, losing her sister so young and having parents who have been so focused on the dead daughter that they neglected the living one even after the older daughter died. At the age of 16 Pippa meets Luke in school for an hour, where she is made to feel important. They meet 15 years later. When he is spending one month at her hospital.

They embark on a fling, which has a fixed endpoint, but of course, so much happens in the month, and we watch the development of their relationship which unfolds in a totally realistic and engaging way.
I would’ve rated this a full 5+ stars, but for a couple of minor plot issues.
I hated the fact that Luke never cleared his name. insofar as the relationship with the married woman at his previous hospital. I had guest that the affair had, in fact, being with his father, and I felt it was so wrong that he was still being blamed instead.
Second, minor point is the suggestion that somehow Piers relationship with her parents might improve.. I suspect that after almost 25 years of solely focusing on the older sister, it was too late for the parents to recognise what a mess they’ve made their relationship with their daughter Pippa. I absolutely loved the way, amused the parents of the twins to demonstrate how to care properly for siblings. It really happens. Instance I had a big lump in my throat reading about Dante and Hamish and their lovely parents. Well done Carol

Despite my minor concerns, this is definitely a five star read.
