This helped me figure out which apps would let me edit the journal as I haven't used something similar before. Sometimes the instructions were only for phone/tablet (for example, "long press" as an instruction). I was able to figure out what it was for the PC, but it would have been helpful to have both instructions.

Goodnotes also works for Windows, which wasn't mentioned. This seems to be the cheaper option if I decided to keep using it.

I joined NetGalley earlier this year (2025) and have been interested in starting a book journal ever since. I wasn’t aware that NetGalley offers a free Reading Journal, and this guide does an excellent job of clearly explaining how to access and use it across multiple devices. I read through the entire guide first, and I plan to reference it regularly as I dive deeper into journaling.

I appreciate the user guide for the NetGalley reading journal. I think it would have been a little better if there was more information, such as information on how to use the different sections, but it's still good basic information. I appreciate the app recommendation.

It got detailed concept of tracking your reads, very casual and easy to understand guide that could help the readers on creating format of their book reviews, although it could be improved on being accessed on a lot of device

Super helpful when using the reading journals! I love using them in my Goodnotes app and think they are fantastic for anyone who suffers from ADHD like I do, having a reading journal is a MUST to help with reading comprehension and retention.

I’m glad that the apps that were recommended are ones that are free (or have free versions of them)! That helps makes them more obtainable for readers.
