It is a short and nice guide. Very useful for knowing how to navigate the journal! I don't keep journals, but I was curious about this one and found the guide a good addition. I would have expected the journal itself to be self explanatory, however.

I really enjoyed this one. It was hard to put down. It kept me wanting more. The characters are amazing! And I love the title and the story line. Such an amazing book!

Followed the steps outlined. When finished I decided the User Journal is not s9mething I'll use as it requires too much work. One has to fill in all the book titles, plus review information.

Having downloaded the book journal, I was unsure of how to actually use it and how to make the most of it, as someone who mostly uses a physical journal and reviewing sites this for me is an exciting edition to my usual way of doing things! This gave me clear and simple instructions on how best to use it for my devices and I am very much looking forward to starting my digital journal journey

This is a really great idea, but not sure why I need to give feedback. The guide is not working for me. But I like the idea. I'd rather have a way to have access to my annotations well after the archive date.

This user guide was helpful. I wanted to know how to download the stickers to Goodnotes and I was able to quickly find the information. Honestly if you have any questions about the reading journal, this user guide is detailed and provides easy to use instructions.

Sadly, I cannot download the required app (on a work device) to make the reading journal work. The user guide was really helpful, in that this was clear from the start and I didn't waste any more time with it.

As a new usee to NetGalley, I found this book an easily digestible to use optional Reading Journal tools. I appreciated especially that the book makes it clear that using the journal does not affect your NetGalley account directly. I prefer using other tools, but this was useful as an overview.

A good resource with directions on how to make the Reading Journal work for you. Well-written directions and options.

The user guide is easy to follow and makes using the reading journal much easier. I wasn't sure initially what program would work best, so I appreciate the thorough instructions and multiple options. I do think it'd be great if the instructions, or even a condensed version of it, was also available inside the journal itself so that I don't need to download multiple files. If a device doesn't offer split screen, I could see it getting confusing jumping back and forth, but I'm sure eventually most users won't need it at all. Overall, a good user guide for a unique resource. Thanks for sharing!

I just checked out the NetGalley Reading Journal User Guide by We Are Bookish (thanks to NetGalley for the ARC!), and I have some thoughts. I'd give it a 3 out of 5 stars. It's a helpful little guide, but it's definitely geared more towards new NetGalley users and younger readers.

Basically, it's a guide on how to use the NetGalley Reading Journal. It gives you step-by-step instructions on downloading it, using it, and customizing it. It even comes with digital stickers and washi tape, which is a cute touch.

I liked how clear and concise the directions were. It's almost like a picture book version, with lots of visuals to help you along. If you've never used NetGalley or done any digital journaling before, this guide would be pretty useful. It explains the basics really well. I even picked up a couple of helpful tips myself.

I can see how this would be especially great for people who are just getting into book journaling, especially with all the BookTok trends. It gives you a nice template to start with and helps you organize your thoughts and reviews.

However, as someone who's been using NetGalley for a while and is pretty comfortable with digital tools, I found a lot of it to be a bit redundant. It covers very basic computer tasks, like downloading apps and importing files. If you're already familiar with these things, you might not get a ton out of it.

One thing to keep in mind is that using the journal, especially if you want to customize it a lot (like finding book covers and filling in all the charts), could take up a fair amount of time. It might cut into your actual reading time, so that's something to consider.

I also think it's important to check out the NetGalley Book Advocate Toolkit first. That toolkit gives you a broader overview of NetGalley and best practices for writing reviews, which I think is more valuable for new users. This guide is more of an extension of that, focusing specifically on the journal.

Overall, the NetGalley Reading Journal User Guide is a good resource for new NetGalley users and those who are new to digital journaling. It's clear, concise, and visually appealing. However, more experienced users might find it a bit too basic. It's a nice addition, but not essential for everyone.
