I enjoy having a digital journal to document my reading. This is certainly a massive up from the haphazard notes I’ve taken on my tablet in years past. The QuickStart guide is easy to use and the themed pride stickers are so fun and functional!

Perhaps in the future, maybe add a section that can tell you how to take this off of our shelf so that it does not affect our reading ratio, so that it can be our choice to give feedback or not. This was a really helpful guide to using the NetGalley Reading Journal, which I didn't even know existed. I don't know that it'll be useful for me, because I primarily make notes directly on my Kindle or by using speech-to-text on my phone, but it could be very useful for others.

This helped me figure out which apps would let me edit the journal as I haven't used something similar before. Sometimes the instructions were only for phone/tablet (for example, "long press" as an instruction). I was able to figure out what it was for the PC, but it would have been helpful to have both instructions.

Goodnotes also works for Windows, which wasn't mentioned. This seems to be the cheaper option if I decided to keep using it.

I joined NetGalley earlier this year (2025) and have been interested in starting a book journal ever since. I wasn’t aware that NetGalley offers a free Reading Journal, and this guide does an excellent job of clearly explaining how to access and use it across multiple devices. I read through the entire guide first, and I plan to reference it regularly as I dive deeper into journaling.
