I love how fun this book is. The colors, the variety of foods (great when you have picky eaters), some fun facts and great tips for getting started.

Lots of information and instructions. This would be great for the kids who really want to learn about culinary activities and the thoughts behind some it. I am not sure if I would rush to make any of these with the kids in my life, but that is only because I have previously made many of them. I am a bit perplexed by a recipe which has folks boiling uncooked pasta in sauce but hey to each their own.

I was first drawn to this cookbook because of the fun cover! I love cooking with my son, so I knew I had to check out this book. It’s full of lots of great, easy to follow recipes. The s’mores bars and the sweet potato chips were two recipes that I am looking forward to making. The directions are easy to follow and engaging. The photos are a great addition. It always add something to a cookbook when it has photos.

This is such a FUN cookbook! I'm looking to add more cookbooks to our high school library and I'm particularly looking for ones that will appeal to teenagers. This one has incredible pictures that are really engaging and show what the recipes should look like. This has so many FUN recipes from smoothies to cakes to banana sushi, to confetti waffles. I'm excited to add this cookbook to our high school library!

This is an excellent beginner cookbook. There are so many great tips in it. Like most kids' cookbooks, it starts off giving kitchen safety rules, ideas for basic pantry items you may need in hand, etc. It then goes into his to season food properly, how to wash produce, even how to chop and mine, and how to break an egg. This is just make a few!! The author does an outstanding job giving details for young chefs!
I highly recommend this for a young child or an older child who is just starting out in the kitchen.
I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

This is a GREAT resource for anyone currently frustrated by their kids obsession with beige foods! It features sections such as 'Working with younger children', picky eating and 'healthy eating' (I was interested in how the author would pitch this given that it is an area that seems fraught with controversy in current times), I found this was covered in a fairly traditional way that will resonate with most readers but may alienate a few. While on the topic of healthy eating, I was pleased by the balanced range of recipes that appear, such as the drool worthy 'whipped chocolate milk' which appears opposite the 'kiwi delish smoothie', with equal value placed on each recipe. While on the drinks section 'smoothies and fresh juices', I will say that I have made, and LOVED the matcha latte! This will now regularly feature on my daily menu!

Other sections in this book include breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert snacks, all of which are beautifully presented with fun illustrations and nice graphics, overall giving a beautifully professional finish to this lovely child friendly cookery book. A hearty introduction covers all the basics and more, ensuring our kids have culinary education in addition to a delectable culinary experience!

Massive thanks to the author for providing measurements in both cups and grams, surely widening the appeal of this book to readers on both sides of the pond, this is often overlooked but instantly widens the appeal of the book

This is a great resource that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. My thanks to NetGalley, author and publisher for the opportunity to review this book in exchange to an advance copy..

I have a monthly kids cooking program and this is perfect. I want it for myself. I love the layout and the introduction explaining how to do things like prep your kitchen, how to season food etc. I'm definitely going to use some of these recipes with the kids. Very cool book.

A sweet, simple beginners cookbook for children with clear, easy recipe directions. Lots of fun! The 2-ingredient Red Velvet Cake was yummy! I thank Netgalley and Quarto Publishing Group-Rock Point for the opportunity to read and review this cookbook.

I absolutely loved this cookbook! I went through it with my 7 year old and picked the recipes we would most like to try. I also loved the extra history lesson and quiz titbits. My 7 year old said he loved the bright colours and that the recipes were mostly easy to read. I would definitely recommend this cookbook for both adults and children but especially adults with children to bring the joy back into the kitchen.

I would love to thank netgalley, the publisher and the author for allowing me to experience this as an ARC before official release.

This cookbook is not just recipes, but includes some fun facts about certain food, tips on the internal temperature for meat, liquid conversion table, additional kitchen safety and tips. All helpful information for parents to pass onto children but I do not see a child, until they are older, to read that information if they are solely looking for the fun of a new recipe and helping in the kitchen. I was hoping to see some more quick recipes that my kids could do on their own with my guidance but a good bit of it includes using the stovetop or oven. Most recipes had a photo to accompany them but there were a few that didn’t, and I think if this book is tailored to little chefs there should be an image for each recipe. I thought the banana sushi recipe was very cute!

I received this book as an advanced reader copy for an honest review.

This book is amazing if you're looking for something to get your children into cooking. My son has autism, and he loves to cook but we have struggles finding recipes. This book takes all of the guessing out of it. From how to prepare certain foods, knife safety and so much more. The recipes are easy to follow and delicious. Some of the ones we loved were Sausage Bagel Casserole, Crunchy Beef Quesadillas and Steak and Broccoli.

Good not-quite-entry level cookbook, probably aimed at slightly older kids. I liked general food knowledge sections throughout it, this will give inquisitive kids something extra while they're choosing what to cook. Pictures are always appreciated too, and the ones in the book are nice and clear and show really well what the expected result is for each recipe.

The only thing I can hold against this cookbook is it being somewhat US-centered, because my kids, who were born and raised in the UK, were flabbergasted by certain ingredients like, for example, canned biscuits. But with the exception of those few recipes with unusual requirements not easily found everywhere I think we'll get a lot of this cookbook, once it's out and I can buy and use it together with the kids.

This is an excellent cook ooo for those who are wanting to start cooking with their kids and teens. Everything about the book has been designed thoughtfully and with children and teenagers in mind, the layout, the recipes being divided into meal times, the how to guides at the beginning all make this an engaging read, would highly recommend

This is such a fun way to get kids involved in the kitchen. I really loved the way that it gives the definitions that they will need to know at the beginning of the book. I think that the recipes are also ones that are appealing to children which would make kids more likely to actually try what they make. I see this also as a great way to add cooking into a homeschool curriculum.
