Beautiful illustrations and an inspiring book for children to follow your dreams. The information and the photos at the back are also a good addition. A great addition to this well-loved series.

Fun and energetic, just like Beyoncé. This was a nice summary of her life thus far, with cute illustrations and more info at the back.

This book is beautifully illustrated and giving a brief overview of the life of Beyonce. It is a lovely overview of how she became the idol she is today. As always it encourages children to follow their passion and is a sweet and uplifting read.

What a beautiful new release in the Little People, Big Dreams series. Beyonce is such an icon, she is current and aspirational and I'm delighted to see this book being added to the series.

The illustrations are so captivating and make the book accessible for all ages, while also being useful in supporting language for english language learners.

The story is simple, but engaging. It covers the major milestones of Beyonce's life and would be an invaluable resource for children starting out on project work.

I would be delighted to use this book with my own pupils in school as I think it would engage even the most reluctant of readers.

I just love these books by the Little People BIG DREAMS series.
But this latest book Beyoncé by Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara just made me laugh! I found the illustrations colourful but did not promote Beyonce beauty, they just missed the mark this time around, usually I give 5 stars. But a good book.

We discover the inspiring life of Beyoncé, the chart-topping beautiful superstar. Beyoncé who was quiet as a child but always enjoyed singing and dancing. But, at a young age, she went to see a concert, and from that moment on, she felt inspired to perform. She loved putting on shows for the people having their hair cut in her mom's salon, but knew she was destined for a bigger audience. After winning a local talent show, Beyoncé joined the newly formed girl group Girls Tyme. The band eventually became Destiny's Child and shot to stardom with their catchy R&B songs and fierce dance routines. As a solo artist, she has since achieved incredible success with numerous number one hits, including 'Irreplaceable' and 'Crazy in Love', and several critically acclaimed and award-winning albums, including 'I am... Sasha Fierce', 'Lemonade', and 'Renaissance'.
She has received the most grammy nominations of any artist in history and is now one of the most influential people in the world. As well as being a great performer, she is a mother, businesswoman, philanthropist, and role model for all those who want to reach for the stars.

Book 020 of 300 ~ 2024

🌟🌟🌟🌟

This was a fantastic little people book about Queen Bey. The thing that disappointed me a little is the illustrations. They just missed the mark this time around with that.

Story wise, as always well told.

There is also a pic of B where Blue Ivy and her could be carbon copy at the age.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

What a sweet educational and inspirational book. Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC. Published by Quarto Publishing Group – Frances Lincoln Children's Books with a publication date of April 2, 2024. Another book in the “Little People, Big Dreams is Beyoncé. Written by Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara.

Very descriptive and lyrical book describing Beyoncé beginning to sing in her mom’s hair salon to winning school talent shows. The book gives girls an idea of how Beyoncé sang her way to the top of the charts and mentions her family being there to help guide her along. A time line in the back of the book completes a quick view of a talented singer.

I tried going into this book with an open mind but by the time I was done the last page I wanted to tear my hair out. As a society we need to so a better job of teaching our children, especially our POC, who to look up to. Beyonce is not one such person. As adults we have a responsibility to do our research on who we encourage our kids to look up to. A woman who takes back her cheating husband or supports her abusive father is not one our daughters need to look up to. Fame and fortune do not make for good examples of what our kids should aspire to. I strongly disliked this book for its rose-colored glasses but also because of the blatant disregard for the consequences of hero-worshipping the wrong individual. This is no different than a Trump children's book, a gross abuse of literary influence. I would hope the author chooses women who overcome great odds to make the world a better place. Not an entertainer. We have tv and internet to promote these people already. Books take the opportunity to promote more important things. You can teach a child the same confidence this book was trying to impart by choosing someone like Kamala Harris or Michelle Obama.

This book is so cute and everything, the story is nicely simplified but not dumbed down, and maybe it's just me, but I don't recognize Beyoncé in the illustrations!!! Especially since they have real photos of Beyoncé in the back of the book, couldn't the similarity have been a little stronger? It just didn't capture the essence of Beyoncé for me. But maybe I'm not appreciating the art as much as I should. I certainly do love the illustrations.

I learned something pretty cool from this book.

I grew up in the era of Destiny’s Child & then the rise of Beyonce. I saw this book and at my grown age, I had to read it.

I love how even the drawings are reminiscent of real outfits Beyonce and Destiny’s child has worn, even down to pictures of her as a child.

It’s a cute biography for children that would definitely encourage them to sit in silence and enjoy the wonders of their own possibilities.

I volunteered to read this ARC through NetGalley

There is very few people if any in this world who have not heard of The Queen Bee herself Beyoncé! Vegas does a wonderful job highlighting Beyoncé's life from child till now in a way that kids understand and will feel inspired! I even learned a couple new things myself. I loved how it highlighted her roots and accomplishments as a woman of colour as she had many firsts! Such a great book for everyone alike.

The latest in the Little People Big Dreams series.

As always, beautiful illustrations that depict Beyoncé's life, from childhood through to pop superstardom. A perfect level of description to hold the attention of the target market, with the longer summary at the end providing more detail.

I absolutely loved this new addition of the Little People, BIG DREAMS series. The illustrations are nice and colourful and Beyonce's biography simplified in a child-appropriate way. Whether a kid already knows and idolises Beyonce or is just in need of a new empowering role model, this book is a wonderful volume to read and be read to.

Thank you Frances Lincoln Children's Books for providing the eARC via NetGalley.

But still, I can't give it 5 stars for this reason!

While I am a fan of this biography series for kids, and a fan of Beyoncé, I think I can remove myself professionally and still review this book objectively.
And, it's great.
Not only does Little People, Big Dreams: Beyoncé celebrate Queen Bey herself; the book celebrates perseverance, passion, and Black excellence. If you're collecting the Little People, Big Dreams biographies...or selectively choosing for your library (like I do), this is a must-buy.
