Elle Cosimo does it again! And again! Love the character development of Finlay. I think we all fall in love with her! I genuinely can’t wait for the next instalment!

First of all thank you for approving my request!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! The authors writing style had me hooked throughout this book.

I didn't want it to end, a book I really couldn't put down.

Another good addition to this entertaining series: I had a lot of fun, appreciated the well rounded characters and the tightly knitted plot.
The solid mystery kept me guessing.
Highly recommended.

Finlay Donovan is back and this time she’s got her family with her. When Vero’s situationship partner Jago is abducted by a loan shark Finlay and Vero head to Atlantic city to sort it all out but her mother and ex husband decide they need to come too. Chaos ensues. Finlay is juggling multiple balls, dead bodies and gang leaders as well as two kids, an entitled ex husband and a mother on the verge of a crisis all the while trying to keep her current hot cop boyfriend from finding out. This was as absurd as all the last Finlay Dovoan novels, I thought this was the last one but the last chapter seems to say it’s not. A lot of loose ends did get tied up though which was nice. There wasn’t nearly enough Nick. And I’m still not Vero’s biggest fan but she was more tolerable in this book. Great big silly fun.

I adore this series, each book just gets better and better. I loved how more of Finlay’s family were included in this storyline, Finlay’s mum is hilarious. Elle Cosimano really knows how to write these stories, she builds up situations to make you think Finlay has solved a problem and then something else happens to add pressure to solve it. I was gripped at the edge of my seat whilst also laughing at so many parts of the story, this was such an enjoyable book.

Many thanks for Netgalley and Headline for an arc of this book in return for an honest review.

Finlay and Vera set off the Atlantic City to try and find Javi and the Aston Martin, unfortunately Stephen, and Finlay's mother insist on coming along. They end up finding far more than they bargained for there. Soon, Nick and his team turn up too, including Finlay's sister, how on earth with Finlay and Vera manage to hide what they've found, find Javi and the Aston, keep Nick and Stephen happy and look after the kids....

After not enjoying the previous book as much as I had the first two, I was a bit hesitant going into this, but it absolutely did not disappoint. It was back to the laugh out loud hilarity and fun of the first book. As with all of the Finlay Donovan books you do have to suspend belief somewhat but that is all part of the fun. I really enjoyed watching one character get his comeuppance near the end of the novel - I really couldn't stand them.

It was twisty and entertaining all the way through, and I always love following Finlay and Vera on their adventures. There were of course a chunk of new characters but I didn't feel like I was being hit in the face with new people that I couldn't follow like I did with the previous book (jumps the gun). I'm really excited to see were Cosimano goes with book five, and whether the mountain of evidence will ever catch up with Finlay and Vera....

Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice by Elle Cosimano is the fourth book in the series and I have to say it is not my favorite one.

The story is entertaining and pretty fast paced like all of the books in this series but this one for me was a bit over the top. As crazy good and entertaining as previous books were this one was too much and even though this was something I came to expect from this series I didn't really enjoy. It became too silly.
The story itself was well presented and gripping, highly entertaining but at times also repetitive.
I liked how most of the characters came toghether to be in one place and that's when most of the chaos started.

Although I didn't enjoy this much as previous books, and first book will always be my favorite one I would still recommend this book and if there is another book I will definitely read it.

I've come to look forward to a new Finlay every time I finish the previous one. I love following Finlay and Vero on their adventures and I commend Elle Cosimano for always finding a way to bring them back - I don't know how she does it but I can't wait for the next instalment! Could definitely see this as a TV show as well... I've spent about half my reading time mentally casting the characters!

The Finlay Donovan series by Elle Cosimano is one of my comfort series. It's an easy, action-packed crime/thriller series which does require you to suspend disbelief and just roll with the twists and turns that Finlay and Vero would never get away with in reality.

Rolls the Dice picks up where the previous book finished and Finlay and Vero are planning a trip to Atlantic City to save Vero's former lover and settle her debts with a formidable loan shark, whilst trying to stay in the good books of the Russian mafia. What they didn't expect was for Finlay's mother, ex-husband and new boyfriend/police detective to tag along as well.

This was such an easy read, I have always read these instalments in quick succession. There is something endearing about this group of characters despite the hilarious and completely unrealistic situations they find themselves in. Rolls the Dice was definitely an improvement on the third book, Jumps the Gun and I found myself breezing through this one. However, I will say they are a little repetitive in nature and they are pretty predictable storylines. I did think this was the final one in this series, but with the ending I'm now not entirely sure that is the case.

I'm still invested enough to continue on though, a really enjoyable series. Thanks to NetGalley and Headline for the advanced e-arc, in exchange for an honest review.

This is the 4th book in the Finlay Donovan series, which must be read in order. Finlay and Vero are on the hunt for Javi, who was kidnapped at the end of book 3. With a missing car to find, a book to finish and bodies piling up, will Finlay’s relationship with Detective Nick have a chance before she ends up in jail for murder?

Another fun instalment from Elle Cosimano and a twist at the end showing that this might not be the last we’ve seen the of the characters!

Time to suspend disbelief once more in this, the fourth installment of the Finlay Donovan series, which I've been waiting for ever since finishing Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun (with a revisit to Veronica Ruiz Breaks the Bank in the meantime).

This time, Finlay and Vero head to Atlantic City to rescue Javi, who's apparently been kidnapped, and track down the missing car (see previous book) all under the guise of a girl's weekend away. This time, Fin's mum, ex Steven and the kids all tag along creating chaos along the way. I'm not sure it would have made complete sense if you didn't have the background of the previous three books, but fun nonetheless, and probably less complicated than the others too, making it the most enjoyable so far!
This is fast becoming one of my favourite series of books, fun, witty and clever and I can't wait for the next book!

Another incredible, entertaining (for me), and challenging (for them) adventure for suspense author Finlay Donovan and her accountant-nanny-housemate-friend Vero as they travel to Atlantic City to save Vero’s childhood crush Javi from a loan shark to whom Vero owes lots of money. Once again, Finn and Vero find themselves hiding bodies, while also escaping a corrupt former detective and the Russian mob, protecting a teenager wanted by the police, and tracking down a stolen sports car, while also hiding the truth from Finn’s new adorable detective boyfriend, her ex-husband, her two young children, her mother, her cop sister and her girlfriend (also a detective), and an FBI agent.

I am always looking forward to a new Finlay Donovan novel and they never disappoint. They are the right dose of fun and suspense, twisty and entertaining, with a cast of irresistible characters. Finlay Donovan is brilliant. Resourceful, determined and smart, she has kept me glued to the pages since the first novel, Finlay Donovan Is Killing It, when she was mistaken for a killer for hire and she got mixed up in all kinds of misunderstandings and illegal activities. Now, three books later, she has to juggle not only the mafia, but also a corrupted detective who won’t leave her alone, a loan shark who will release Vero’s friend in exchange for money they don’t have, a techie teenager in hiding, and a dog named Kevin Bacon.

Hilarious and fast-paced, Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice is romance and suspense perfectly blended together with an ending that promises much more fun and suspense that I can’t wait for!

Finlay and Vero are at it again in another crazy fun adventure! This time the story takes them to Atlantic City, where the duo is attempting to save Javi, Vero's childhood friend and crush, from the Mob. The team expands even further when Finlay's ex-husband and her mother decide they too wish to take part in the ever-ongoing Finlay shenanigans. Just like the previous installments, this book takes "wild shit happens" as inspiration and rolls with it to ensure that you're never bored from start to finish. 300 pages never went by so quickly.

This was another enjoyable addition to the Finlay Donovan series and just as fun and captivating as the others.
I will say, though, the plots seem to be getting less and less believable, which isn't necessarily a bad thing but this might put some people off.
For me, these are great escapist reads, which would also be ideal as beach reads.
I can't wait to see where the series goes next, if there's a fifth book.
Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Picking up right where Book 3 left off, Finlay and Vero embark on a girls' trip with a dual purpose: settling a debt, dodging Felix, recovering the Aston Martin, and rescuing Javi. The catch? They're accompanied by the kids, Finlay's mother, and her ex, turning their getaway into a chaotic adventure.

True to the series' form, this installment delivers the signature blend of twists, turns, and absurdity that kept me eagerly perched on the edge of my seats. While it may not cater to those seeking gritty intensity, I found the craziness of Finlay and Vero's escapades thoroughly entertaining.

As always, they prove to be the ultimate duo, and while I've cherished their antics throughout the series, this book provides a satisfying conclusion that ties up loose ends nicely

Thank you to NetGalley and Headline for the download

Another great time had with Finlay Donovan and the other characters in this series. Of course, another set of circumstances throw Finlay and Vero into wild situations and again, they manage to get by by the skin of their teeth and come up smelling of roses by the end.

Although this wasn't my favourite book of the series, it's the one that had me laughing the most. There were some fantastic witty one liners (from Vero, obviously) and some hilarious scenes. I feel like this book really went to town on the ridiculous positions the characters found themselves in and however silly and unrealistic it was, I was there for it and I enjoyed it.

What I found slightly lacking in this book was the depth of the relationships between the characters. Finlay has always had lots going on with her ex husband and her new flames, but this story didn't include a whole tonne of "Finlay's life" stuff. I did like seeing the more sensitive and caring side to Vero and realising that the woman does actually have a heart.

I've come to see the books in this series as fun, a good time and easy going. They're perfect as a palate cleanser between serious of heavy going books and they certainly provide the giggles.

I would like to thank Netgalley and Headline for an advance copy of Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice, the fourth novel to feature the eponymous romantic suspense author and her childcare assistant, Vero.

Finlay and Vero take a girl’s trip to Atlantic City to negotiate Vero’s debt with a loan shark, rescue Vero’s kidnapped friend, Javi, and recover Finlay’s stolen car except the girl’s trip includes Finlay’s kids, ex husband and mother and the loan shark won’t play ball. When they find his dead body they’re on their own with their tasks.

I thoroughly enjoyed Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice, which is a fun filled read with outrageous events, plenty of twists and some great characters. I have nothing but praise for the author’s inventiveness and ability to carry it through.

The premise of the plot is that the loan shark, Marco, is behind the kidnapping and theft, so all the ladies have to do is find the leverage to get him to release the debt, the car and Javi. His death is not a good thing as it makes them look like prime suspects. I can’t begin to describe their manoeuvrings after that, but it’s a lot of fun, involving a Russian gangster, missing crypto, a crooked detective and a lot of lying. Did I mention the strip club? It’s a madcap caper from beginning to end and is nowhere near plausible, but it’s not supposed to be. Instead it is highly entertaining.

Finlay and Vero are some team. They are funny and committed to support each other, even when the going gets rough, like moving dead bodies or confronting armed men. Fortunately they are smart and resourceful enough to escape any suspicion of wrongdoing, but that might not last as Finlay’s new boyfriend, Nick, is a cop and hot sex can only distract him for so long!

Finlay Donovan Rolls the Dice is a fun read that I have no hesitation in recommending.
