Really enjoyed this one. Feel like book 2&3 weren’t as good. This is an ARC Review. Felt the pacing is really good. Lot of fun and mystery in this one. Highly recommend this & it is worth getting the whole series for this one.

Finlay Donovan Rolls The Dice by Elle Cosimano.
I give this book 4.5 stars.

Finlay and Vero need a girls' weekend away to negotiate with a dangerous loan shark, save Vero's childhood crush Javi, and find a stolen car. At their casino hotel, the trip takes a nosedive. A kidnapper lands up dead and to get out of Atlantic City in one piece, they'll need to stay on top of one jealous ex-husband, one hot cop, two precocious kids, and yet another decomposing body.

If you’re looking for a series that doesn’t take itself too seriously and is over the top in the best way possible this is the one for you!
Book 4.
.Finlay Donovan is one of my favourite book characters and Vero is her partner in crime.lm loving the character growth in them both as the series progresses and i enjoyed delving into Vero a bit more in this book. This instalment takes place in Atlantic City which was a fun setting and we got to see Sylvia (Finlay's mum) and more of Nick (the hot cop) Packed full with brilliant banter, plenty of hi jinx and cover ups, bizarre situations, females supporting one another and witty humour. This author certainly knows how to write an addictive and entertaining series. I think you need to read these in order to get the most out of them, and I’d love an adaptation to tv.
With thanks to Netgalley,Elle Cosimano and Headline Books for my chance to read and review this book.

A great sequel picking up from where we left off, the fourth book in the series packs a punch!
It's a brilliant does of comedy and entertainment as well as a good old helping of mystery and intrigue.
I was engaged throughout and love Elle's worldbuilding and characters.
Pure escapism at it's finest!

LOVED IT! I'm already a fan of the Finlay Donovan series and I feel like this book did not disappoint at all.
In this book Finlay and Vero's are continuing their adventures to Atlantic City, but of course not on their own but with brining Finlay's family with no plan. Her boyfriend which obviously works in police will not hesitate to not join this crazy adventure brining even more people whilst Finlay and Vero are trying to find Vero's old friend, Javi.
As the other books, this one it's full of fun adventures, with more dead bodies.
Totally recommend it, however, the previous books would need to be read in order to understand the humour and what's actually happening.
The end though.. Should I hope for another book from Finlay Donovan's series?

Not last, I would like to thank to the author, NetGalley and the publisher for offering me a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review - I could not be more honoured than that.

Sadly this series isn't grabbing my attention as much 4 books in. I still enjoy the characters and the writing style but it's getting a little predictable and not really moving quick enough for me.

Finlay donovan rolls the dice

3.5 ⭐️

I really do love the cold opens the author uses for this series. This instalment was absolutely crazy.

Strip clubs, fancy hotels and casinos are a prominent feature in finlay's latest adventure in crime. I liked the closing for this book. We got some answered questions and a lot of action. There were several anxiety inducing moments also.

Once again, we get amazing moments between her and Vero. Vero remains my favourite character of the series, but I did enjoy finlay's mother in this one, too. There's definitely a lot of romance here, but mostly for Vero this time and it was nice to see her open up a bit.

The plot has strayed away from the believable, though. Cops can't just show up to a place and start investigating because they've asked the fbi to come. Especially not cops who can't even keep track of two suburban women. The fact that these two haven't been caught yet really is a miracle. I do think this one could have been the last one, I'm not sure where it's going to go from here without it becoming too much of a mess.

I've got one last thought, and I'm just going to say it. Steven absolutely sucks. I get that he's meant to, but my lord, he's awful. He was a terrible husband, and all he does is complain about watching his own kids. Since there's another book, I hope he's in it a lot less.

I received an advance review copy of this book, and this review represents my honest opinion. Thank you to netgalley, Elle Cosimano, and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book.

4,5 stars rounded up.
The Finlay Donovan serie just does it for me, and this time is no different.
Are the situations always super believable? ...No... is it still super funny and enjoyable? Hell yes!
Fast paced, as fun as the other books and in case the end of book 3 left you hanging, the end of this one is way less of a cliffhanger.

*Thanks to NetGalley and Headline for access to the ebook against an honest review.*

What a ride! This series never gets old.
I'm so sad to see this series come to an end. It's fun and gives that early 2000s nostalgia of action comedy
This would make a great TV series (Netflix, if you're reading).

Finlay Donovan and her nanny Vero return in Elle Cosimano's latest zany rom-com series, this time planning to visit Atlantic City, under cover of a girls' weekend away, as we take up from where the last episode left off, as they look to do all they can to save Javi from danger after he has been taken. The deranged madness begins with ex-husband Stephen and her mother insisting on coming too, with the mischievous children joining the party. Upon arrival at the down at heel casino hotel, the entertaining mess and chaos builds when they make their way to the loan shark and kidnapper Marco's rooms looking for leads, only to find him dead, along with another body. Who on earth could be responsible?

Being obvious prime suspects, they panic and put the bodies in the bath, covering them with ice in an effort to muddy the waters. To add to the stress, police department members, plus Finlay's sister, arrive at the hotel, taking rooms, with Nick keen to keep Finlay close. The scene is set for matters to descend into over the top farce, with twist upon twist, more bodies surfacing, the potent mix of all the characters and their differing aims, piling the pressures sky high for potential catastrophe to occur. Included are the appearances of a host of others, including Feliks Zhirov and teen hacker, Cameron, although neighbour Mrs Haggerty does not, she is primed to be part of the next in the series. Will Finlay survive Atlantic City and live to tell the tale?

You do not read this series with the expectations that you will get anything that resembles contents which are even remotely authentic or realistic, although perhaps the craziness hits greater levels than normal here. This is a fun and enjoyable read, with madcap plotlines, fans will be familiar by now with what they are in for, there is plenty of banter and complications, and there is character and relationship development with the, by now, established cast. Looking forward with great anticipation to the next book! Many thanks to the publisher for the ARC.

This is the fourth book in the Finlay Fonovan series and picks up right where we left off in the last one. Similarly to the previous books this is a fun and entertaining read. Finlay and Vero once again find themselves caught up in the middle of kidnapping and murder plots and must work to find their way out and avoid being implicated in various crimes and without raising the suspicion of their family and Finlay’s police officer boyfriend. Its been a while since I read the previous books and I was worried that I would have forgotten the various characters and their connections but I found this background was all well explained or came back to me to keep me engaged in the plot.
I really enjoyed this book and it is a lovely escape from reality kinda read. If you’ve enjoyed the previous books in this series then I’d definitely recommend picking this one up too!

Continuing on from the previous book in the series, Finlay Donovan and Vero, her nanny/ partner in crime must travel to Atlantic City to deal with a dangerous loan shark and find Vero’s kidnapped childhood love, Javi. Claiming they are going on a girls’ weekend away, they nevertheless can’t get away without Finlay’s mother, her two small children and ex-husband Steven insisting on tagging along. Things get even more complicated when Finlay’s new squeeze, detective Nick shows up in Atlantic City along with her detective sister Gemma.

This is another fun romp as Finlay and Vero discover dead bodies, hide a runaway teenager in a luxury hotel suite, and search for a missing Aston Martin, all the while evading the police and Finlay’s family. Totally unrealistic and peopled with zany characters who get out of more difficult situations than is possible, but nevertheless very entertaining, although not as laugh out loud funny as previous books, perhaps because the plot is busier tying up lots of loose ends. However, it is essential to have read the rest of the series to understand how all the different players fit in and follow everything that’s going on while still enjoying the banter and humour.
