Even When: Experiencing God’s Presence During Difficult Days is one of the best devotion books I have read! I used Even When: Experiencing God’s Presence During Difficult Days as part of my own personal devotion time, making notes and often reading more than only devotion entry in a setting. Sara Cormany is a new-to-me author and her Testimony really spoke to me. I love how she shared her Story in each entry. As a person with a disability, a lot of what Ms. Cormany has went through and the daily struggles she paints is raw and resonates with me. I love the “Even When” statements that Ms. Cormany shares because it shows the reader that regardless of the situation, God brings beauty out of the broken shards of our lives. I appreciated Ms. Cormany’s vulnerability and openness in each devotion entry and how she didn’t sugarcoat the difficulties and showed how God would point her in the right direction, reminding her of her Purpose and Value because in turn, the reader was also reminded of their Purpose and Value. If you are looking for a devotional to encourage you during the “Even Whens” in life, then I highly recommend Even When: Experiencing God’s Presence During Difficult Days by Sara Cormany!

Even When: Experiencing God's Presence During Difficult Days is filled with personal stories from Sara’s life. Throughout the devotionals, she shares moments of difficulty that ultimately taught her something about God. Through her openness and honesty about her struggles, she shares truths about God. It’s filled with encouragement that comes from someone who has been ‘there’ before.

The questions and prayer at the end of each devotional are helpful for journaling and to reflect on.

Even When contains 40 devotions, each starting with a phrase that starts with “Even When…” showing that despite our failings, God is ever present. It is followed by a scripture line using ESV Bible. Afterwards, the author shares a particular memory in her life. Each passage ends with a prompt (that is perfect for journaling) and a prayer. Fans who follow Sara Cormany’s journey will appreciate this thoughtful book.

Sara Cormany gets it! As a women with multiple chronic illnesses walking with Jesus, this book was a breath of fresh air! Her writing is real and relatable. Honestly, it’s too hard to read only one devotional a day. I highly recommend this book if you’re struggling with anything and want to experience God’s presence in the midst

This easy read is full of comfort and peace, written in such a way as to help keep you grounded when experiencing turmoil. It’s one of those books you’ll want to read more than once. Interesting, helpful, and comforting.

This devotional is centered on trusting God and having faith when you cannot see it. Each devotional is short, includes a real life story, some questions to ask yourself and a prayer. Really needed this book right now.

This is a must-have collection of devotionals. It is full of beautiful reminders of God's love, especially when things are difficult. This is one I'll return to again and again. Many thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the advanced copy of the book.

This couldn't have come at a better time. I'm going through a difficult time and this book has brought me comfort and encouragement. The author has been through some very difficult situations and each day shares a tidbit of the struggles. The devotion starts out with a reminder of who God is and then a Bible verse. It then goes into a short story followed by a few reflection questions and a prayer. This is a must for anyone walking through a difficult season!
