This had that suspenseful atmosphere that I was looking for from this type of book. I enjoyed the overall feel of this story and being in a enclosed space with a killer and being unable to escape. Sherri L. Dodd has a great writing style and was enjoying the concept of the story. I thought the overall feel of the story worked and that the characters were what I wanted when reading this. I thought the use of paranormal elements worked with the story and enjoyed the murder mystery element.

A good story. Felt it more cozy than a thriller with supernatural elements Good characters and plotting but could have cut the overall timeline. Thanks to Black Rose Writing and Netgalley for a review ARC

Thank you to NetGalley, Black Rose Writing, & to Sherri L. Dodd for this ARC of Murder Under Redwood Moon! I I haven't read a good paranormal book in a while and this one was a great story to get me back into the genre! I am also a fan of murder mysteries and I do think this is a pretty good one!

This is a very easy book to read! The story itself is easy to follow and that's tricky to do when you're bringing in things like supernatural elements. Sometimes I find that complicates stories and the plot or magic systems get convoluted. That was absolutely not the case here! I'm pretty impressed by how well Dodd was able to blend the paranormal into a mystery and have it all work! Also the characters are so well-written! I really enjoyed Arista and I think others will too!

This book is definitely a thriller, though I think it could've been a bit more suspenseful at times. That being said though, if you're looking for a less suspenseful murder mystery, then this is the book for you! It's a quick read, and definitely a book I'd recommend to anyone looking for an intriguing & witchy murder mystery!
