I dont think I have come across a Julia rothman's book that I don't enjoy. We use all the books for different homeschool science. The activities are so fun. I love the rustic colors. This book, in my opinion, won't work as an ebook.
My biggest frustration is that these book are clearly for the very young crowd. While I like that it teaches about real farm life to young kids. I hope they come out with some things for older kids or even adults! I'll definitely b3 recommending these to my other friends.
I received a copy and all opinions are my own.
While I won’t buy an activity book for my classroom, I’ll buy this for my 8 year old farmer-in-training son. Packed with fun farm factoids and activities, this will keep him entertained for hours and doing incidental reading as well.
We own the Julia Rothman trilogy so the chance to review a digital copy of the upcoming Farm Anatomy Activity Book is a real bonus for our tractor loving boy. And wow! It's gorgeous. I might even love it more than the original books!
Packed with every kind of puzzle and Julia's beautiful trademark illustrations, this activity book is a must for children who love learning about growing, farming and working life outdoors. There is so much to enjoy and it's clearly presented. I would love to buy this book as a gift but I will first be putting it on my own family wishlist and waiting excitedly for publication.
The Farm Anatomy activity book is a perfect intro to farm/agriculture for younger elementary ages! It’s colorful, full of a variety of activities, and extremely well rounded with topics that any young learner can engage in and learn from!
Our family is a homeschool family and this semester we are participating in virtual agriculture field trips - this book contains perfect activities for me to introduce before and review after our field trips! It will make my life easier and take our learning deeper.
Thank you NetGalley and Storey Publishing for the ARC.
