It was nice that the recipes were included,this way the club could prepare some of the items for their meetings. Inspiring and heartfelt! It was wonderful to include the "Make a Difference" section. The interview was incredibly insightful, and the Discussion Questions have great potential to spark some really productive conversations.

I am so happy to see a non fiction work getting a Book Club Kit. We need more guides to reads like this that highlight the best of out world and the people that live in it and can be a force for positive inspiration. As always these guides are an excellent jump off point for groups or libraries looking for direction for a single book club or even for A month long book celebration. With the addition of A viewing party for The Cave the documentary and fictional books that share the same theme, I can see this being a great addition to any reading groups calendar!

Gosh, this book incorporates some seriously heavy topics and for that reason I’m exceedingly grateful about the content warnings included at the beginning. This is definitely an important read but one that people should not take lightly when deciding to delve into its content. This kit, naturally, begins with the author interview and then moves into some thought provoking discussion questions for a book club meeting—what I love about the questions is that they are also excellent for writing prompts as well. There are bookmarks included and some drink and food recipes. One unique thing about this kit is the inclusion of discussion questions to pair with watching the documentary film of the same name. I also really loved the “Make a Difference” section. The kit ends with further reading book recommendations.

I run a book club with friends and we are planning to read The Cave in the upcoming months. I'm excited to use this to facilitate discussions. I also love that it contains relevant drink and food recipes! How cool is that? There are also great resources at the end that I plan to look into. Thank you for this wonderful resource.

I really liked the interview and the notes, also I really appreciate a content or trigger list, not every book has it and its very useful.
I think the colors work beautifully and the fonts are very nice and easy to read.

The book itself is a very difficult book to read as the content is extremely disturbing and heartbreaking. I think, however, it should be required reading for those of us living in areas that have never experienced something like this. I think it will help all of us to feel much more empathy and understanding towards refugees and will hopefully compel us to take action to help.

I did enjoy the book club kit for this book and especially liked the interview with the author. I am going to make sure I watch the documentary soon. I have made a donation to one of the organizations mentioned.

I will never look at Syria or her people the same way.
