I loved the Warriors series as a kid, so when the ARC appeared on NetGalley, I requested it immediately.

I really enjoyed diving back into this world, I forgot how much I loved warrior cats. It unexpectedly indoctrinated me into asoiaf, I was right for the picking by GRRM. The series have a lot of unexpected similarities: political intrigue, dynasty building, succession crises, nature vs nurture, love being the death of duty, and a prophecy hanging over the narrative. But with cats! Which makes everything better!

Although I do love how silly it is sometimes.
< Spottedleaf: Only fire can save our clan.
Firepaw: I don’t get it. Fire is the enemy of all who live in the forest. >

Bro, your name is literally FIREpaw! 😂

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing an e-ARC copy of this book, in exchange for this honest review.

🐈Into The Wild - Erin Hunter 🐈

Into the Wild is the first book in the Warrior Cats series which as a child I absolutely adored. You best believe when I spotted it on Netgalley I wasn’t going to let the opportunity to relieve my childhood favourite pass me by.

Rusty is a housecat who finds himself leaving the comfort of his garden in search of a mouse. He is ambushed by a wildcat and given the chance to join the clan should he chose to give up his cushty life with humans. Rusty takes the opportunity and becomes Firepaw, ThunderClans newest apprentice. I found myself so captivated and submersed in the writing I couldn’t put Into the Wild down.

Into the Wild is out now and if you fancy a dose of escapism with easy writing that any age could enjoy then definitely check this series out! Time for me to get book 2!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thankyou to Netgalley, Harper Collins Children and Erin Hunter for this ARC in exchange for my thoughts!
