I love most things enneagram, and I was looking forward to reading this text and seeing if it was something I could use for a fun end-of-year mini-unit with students. Ultimately, though, most of the information in the book seemed like information that can be found on the enneagram institute website (which I have used with students). I could see this being a fun gift for a preteen who loves enneagram tests and wants to talk to their friends about it. This one will not be making my classroom library, though.

I really enjoyed this book! It was a perfect recap of all of the enneagrams in such a digestible way. Sometimes topics like this can get over complicated, but I felt this explained the perfect amount. Each example used made it feel like a conversation and not a textbook, which I believe is important when trying to relay information to teens. I would highly recommend this to all young people wanting to learn more about enneagrams, emotional regulation, and personality types and how they function in social settings. Great job!

I really did like this book! It was definitely kind of shallow and repetitive, however I did think it provided a lot of valuable information!! My one comment was that it was definitely very surface level and it was very casual. It was great because I’ve never really done a deep dive into enneagram types, but if you were looking for a little bit more in depth info, this might not be the best book. Overall, I learned a lot and it was fun and easy to understand! I would recommend to anyone starting to learn about their enneagram!!

Thank you to NetGalley for a copy of this title!

The Enneagram for Teens is a fun book that echoes the recent interest in personality tests. I enjoyed how Britain gave a general list of traits in the beginning that could be used as a checklist to see if you identified with the number. The next thing that I found useful were the examples given for each type at the start of the chapter as it helped relate to each type. I would recommend this book to someone who is interested in learning more about their enneagram.

I wanted to love this book, I really did! It seemed directed at "young adults who are new to the Enneagram or want to learn more" and "an approachable guide that’s perfect for beginners". It seemed fine at the start, and I was enjoying it for the first 15% of so. It looked at each enneagram type and discussed various aspects of it (ex: how to deal with someone of that type, what that type needs to hear). But at around 20%, the book started to push forth Christian ideas.

Now, there's no problem with a book discussing religion. The problem is that this book appeared to be directed at any teen who needed help figuring out their Enneagram, not a Christian teen. If I had known it was directed at a specific religion, I would not have picked up the book.
To me, this book would have been absolutely perfect, if it wasn't for that.

I suppose it might be my fault for not doing proper research before reading the book, and that's why I'm rating it 3 stars. I would recommend it to any Christian reader who is looking for thier Enneagram type.

I received an ARC copy of this book via Netgalley.

5/5 stars!!
Honestly, I was a bit skeptical when I saw the title of this book but, I LOVED IT!!! This book went in depth on each of the 9 enneagram numbers and broke down how they each respond in love relationships, faith, friends and family, and stress. It was not too much. I think this book would be great for honestly men and women interested in understanding themselves and other more clearly.

Thank you NetGalley for the ability to read this book before the release!
