I sometimes struggle to get into Non fiction titles but I really enjoyed this one.
The narrative around the rules we as women follow was so interesting. I would recommend everyone to read this who wants to continue their feminist education.

I enjoyed this imaginative story full of strong women. The writing is wonderful, the setting intriguing and the story compelling. There is a tender love story to ice the cake. I had a hard time putting it down.

The E-Book could be improved and more user-friendly, such as links to the chapters, no significant gaps between words and a cover for the book would be better. It is very document-like instead of a book. A star has been deducted because of this.

This is a first for me by the author and one I enjoyed and I would read more of their work. The book cover is eye-catching and appealing and would spark my interest if in a bookshop. Thank you to the author, publisher and Netgalley for this ARC.

3.5/5.

I'm old enough to have read books like this in the 70s and they helped me to grew up and challenge some ideas about acting-like-a-lady
This is a sort of history of feminism and a guide to be more assertive.
I think it can be useful to younger generations.
Recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher for this ARC, all opinions are mine

A self help book dressed up as a feminist history, is what I would sum this up to be.

Maybe it’s a me problem, but this book was not for me. I find this a lot with self help books, I just don’t seem to have the worries and concerns the target audience has. For example, I have never once looked at someone who has something I want and hate them for it, that just seems like a waste of my time emotionally. I’m happy for them and if I want something myself, I work for it myself, it’s that simple.

This is an interesting layout, going through the seven deadly sins and it references other more academic works, so it’s probably really accessible for someone who doesn’t read a lot of psychology. But how it was marketed, I thought it was going to be more social history and pop culture, rather than personal anecdotes and telling me how I probably feel about things, which I didn’t relate to at all.

I liked the idea for this book and the way it was laid out through all the sins. The writing was interesting and not at all dry which kept me interested
There was a little too much personal stories for my taste but overall it was good and easily accessible for anyone
There was a bit of woo woo which I don’t mind but might not be for everyone

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this arc
