Truly, Madly, Deeply is an enchanting romance following Truly, a romance author, and Colin, a divorce attorney as they get to know one another while filming a podcast on relationship advice.
A good romance, full of banter and great tropes, but sadly the writing style wasn't for me.

The story of Truly and Colin. They meet on his sister's podcast when she is a guest and don't hit it off to start with. Everything in her.life seems to be going wrong but will things improve with Colin? Looking forward to more from this author.

Thank you Little, Brown Book Group UK for giving me an ARC of this novel to review via NetGalley.
A fast paced, laugh out loud, sizzling queer romance!
These characters had me in absolute stitches! It's hard to pick a favourite character within this novel as they'll all stand out for completely different reasons. Truly's dad for the absolute Stanley Tucci vibes he's giving. Lulu for her unapologetic lack of filter. Or Colin for being so adorable and loving, as well as level-headed and considerate too! Dream boyfriend material for sure.
I'd definitely recommend this novel for those that are looking for an easy, fast paced romance you can sink your teeth into. But be warned, you'll for sure be laughing out loud throughout so maybe grab some tissues!

I read the Fiancée Farce last year and it was a 5 star read for me, so without a doubt I was so excited to read the next release. The chemistry between Truly and Colin was off the charts. I was reading this book in public and I had to hide how giddy I was reading this.

Truly, Madly, Deeply features two characters, a realist and a romantic, falling in love and reexamining their set ideals and agency in their own lives. It’s a beautiful story that burrows down deep and takes time to settle before consuming every waking thought thereafter. Bellefleur has written an up close and personal love story for the hopeless romantics out there, the people who have found themselves adrift for the first time and are seeking a solid landing place. The setup for this one was everything I was hoping for, a snarky back and forth between two opposites on a podcast, that introduces a raw honesty that is just what each character needs. Now Truly Livingston is a total icon and not even her embarrassing social media mistakes could have me not backing her up (because yeah, Colin is the hottest man to ever exist. next question). Her struggle with feeling like she’s not a good enough version of herself to jump back into dating was certainly relatable and it was a kind of reward to see her go after what she wanted and be proactive in creating her own happiness. I’m a big fan of right person, right time, even when our characters can’t see that at first, and this book absolutely delivered on that. All the little moments between Colin and Truly fueled me, from the impromptu coffee hangs, to late-night drinks, and impassioned conversations about biphobia. I just love them dearly. Truly and Colin were the epitome of bisexual chaos and their bickering turned full arguments turned back around to understanding was all-consuming and seriously entertaining. Truly, Madly, Deeply has reminded me of the power of connection and the strength that comes from our close relationships – of the happiness we can’t wait around for and must create for ourselves. It left me with a truly debilitating crush on a fictional character and a massive book hangover and I wish I could do it all over again.

Thank you to NetGalley and Little, Brown Book Group for the ARC in exchange of an honest review.
Alexandria Bellefleur is known for her amazing romances and this was nothing but fabulous. This was so cute! A swoon-worthy MMC and a FMC who's a romance novelist herself? Yes, please! And who doesn't love an enemies-to-friends-to-lovers trope? If you loved any of Alexandria's other novels I highly encourage you to pick up this as well!

Truly, Madly, Deeply is great for anyone looking for contemporary romance with relatable fears and obstacles, bi representation, and a whole lot of hope. With fun banter and a conversational tone, it's super readable, and I especially love the way Alexandria Bellefleur writes spice with ✨enthusiastic consent✨—she is really the gold standard. Maybe some of the banter went a bit too far, but I'm willing to forgive it because 99% of it was character-appropriate, witty, and lighthearted.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing my ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Firstly I would like to apologise to my neighbours for the squealing noises I probably made while reading this book.
From the get-go there wasn’t much doubt in my mind that this would be a 5⭐️ read for me - To start, it’s an Alexandria Bellefleur novel, and they get better with each one she writes. Secondly, it features two bisexual leads (one of whom is hinted at having ADHD/ADD).
When I think about how overwhelmingly good this book was, the first thing that comes to mind is the banter. Our two main characters hit it off from the get-go. Their flirting, teasing and downright chemistry was off the charts. I haven’t read a book that captures that first crush level of flirting in a long time. It took me back and I found myself kicking my feet in glee on more than one occasion.
The second thing to point out - the spice. Oh my gosh, Alexandria knows how to write it - I take my hat off to you because you made me blush (and really at this point I’ve read it all)
Finally I just want to highlight how important it is to have happy and realistic modern love stories both written by and for LGBTQ+ persons. Alexandria touches on some really personal topics for a lot of us in her work and does so eloquently and beautifully while maintaining that lighthearted rom-com vibe.
Keep doing what you’re doing Alexandria, and I’ll keep buying and reading 💕

Truly, Madly, Deeply by Alexandria Bellefleur
Rating: 4.5/5
Tropes: Enemies-to-friends-to-lovers, second-chances, HEA, slow burn.
To say I was smitten with Truly, Madly, Deeply is an absolute understatement of the year.
Truly, a queer historical romance author, believes in all the whimsicalness of true love. The foundation for this belief stemming from her parent’s marriage of 33 years, until that all changes of course.
Truly was such a great character. Alexandria did an amazing job in creating a FMC that you can just connect with on every level, and shall I dare say it? She’s just normal. The MMC, Colin, was just *chefs kiss*. Where can I find one of him for me??
This was my first read from Alexandra Bellafleur and I was not disappointed at all. And after the slump I’ve been through, this was 100% what I needed.
I highly recommend Truly, Madly, Deeply if you’re looking for a feel good romance with a healthy (and heavy dash) of spice.

Truly, madly, deeply by Alexandria Bellefleur
I read this book so quickly, it’s a little embarrassing.
The banter and chemistry between the two main characters was so well done. I like how natural they seemed to spark off of one and other and that their chemistry didn’t seem really forced. The male love interest was one of the best I’ve read in a romance book lately. He was really sweet and you could see he genuinely cared about the female lead.
This book really gives me like early 2000s rom-com vibes in the best way. The writing is so readable and easy to read. It feels like a book you could read in one sitting. I liked the pacing, especially with the romance. I liked that there was a spark there in the beginning but they didn’t go full “I love you” within a couple of chapters. I think this is what made it feel more realistic?
I also really liked the side characters. I think we could all need a friend like Lulu - she was there to support Truly throughout and had her back/best interests all the time. I like Truly and Lulu’s friendship. I think that was another positive about this book.
The only thing I wasn’t sure about was some of the dialogue. I feel like the characters felt quite young for their ages or their dialogue came across younger. I think that was my main criticism and is what made this not a five star, but I think that is more my own preference more than anything and isn’t a reflection of the authors writing.
Overall, this was a really enjoyable book and I would happily recommend this book! And I will be looking out for books by this author in the future!!
Thank you Netgalley and Little Brown Book group for this eARC! Look forward to picking up a physical copy when it’s released April 30th 🌹🌸

What a Truly Scrumptious Delight!!
Firstly. thank you so much to Netgalley and Little Brown Books my eARC.
This is this first of Alexandria Bellefleur's that I've come across and I'm so happy to be discovering her stuff now specially when there is a backlist I can add to my tbr!
Failing relationships for a romance author aren't great for inspiration, follow that with a few really rubbish interactions and even worse revelations from family, one day goes from bad to horrendous.
However, sparks fly and romance blooms in unexpected ways for Truly. A little enemies to friends to lovers, and when it happens it's a very steamy rom-com. Not usually for me but I enjoyed the turn about of our FMC being the dominant one in a particular scene.
Overall, I really enjoyed this and finished it in just a few sittings, characters are very loveable and dynamics between Truly the rest of the ensemble are amusing to say the least. I definitely want a guy like Colin...

From the beginning yes, this book is highly predictable. However, it's a good romcom mixed with a decent amount of 🌶 between them which adds to their story. Colin seems like the book boyfriend that everyone would adore and wish for themselves, while Truly has her fair share of things going on that impacts her relationships with those around her.

3.4⭐️
Thank you to Netgalley and Little, Brown Book Group UK for this eARC in exchange for an honest review.
The book opens on FMC Truly, who is a true romantic, on her way to record a podcast immediately after finding her fiancé in a compromising position and soon to an ex-fiancé. She was inspired to become a romance novelist after being raised by actor (keyword - actor) parents who apparently never fought, and had been the epitome of true love throughout her life. By comparison, Colin McCrory is a divorce (sorry, I mean family) lawyer who has had his fair share of heartbreak, and is slightly more cynical about the whole idea.
What follows includes a rather… cringey storyline along the lines of The Parent Trap, except Truly is an adult, not a young Lindsay Lohan and as you can imagine, this goes down really well… not.
Colin is adorable and his “courting” of Truly (his word, not mine) was very cute to witness. His ability to handle Truly’s childishness and immaturity (which was quite prevalent throughout the book) was impressive. I also appreciated the casual mentions of his adhd (via talking about his meds and hyperfixations).
Overall a very quick and easy read, just with a few cringey aspects (mainly related to Truly).

Truly believes in true love. After all, she's a romance author so she's got to, right? That is until she walks in on her boyfriend of six years cheating on her and finds out that her parents, who Truly believed were the epitome of a loving relationship, are having a trial separation. Reeling from these revelations, Truly begins to question everything she thought she knew about love. Amidst all this confusion, Truly is starring on a podcast giving relationship advice to listeners and she feels like a fraud. How can she give advice on love when everything she believed about it has come crumbling down? Her situation is made even worse by her annoying divorce-lawyer podcast co-host Colin McCrory. After a bit of bickering, the podcast devolves into chaos and Truly storms out. But when Colin reaches out, the pair start talking and a charming romance develops between the two. As the pair go from enemies to lovers, Truly questions what love really is and finds out what it is to be truly, madly, deeply in love with another person.
I read this book in a day it was that good. I was so invested in Truly and Colin's relationships that I just had to see how it ended and I was not disappointed. I love a good enemies to lovers romance and this really hit the mark. The chemistry between Truly and Colin is explosive. Honestly, the banter is second to none. This was my first Alexandria Bellefleur novel and she really delivered with the banter. The two characters play off each other really well and their relationship is overall very sweet but also VERY passionate. This is quite a spicy read - so be warned!
Truly, Madly, Deeply is a fun rom-com with a hopeful happy ending and a commentary about love that runs deeper than expected. There are plenty of laugh-out-loud moments and the progression of Truly and Colin's relationship is believable and very sweet. Truly has a very satisfying character arc as she moves from being quite naive about love to developing a more nuanced understanding of what love is and how relationships develop over time.
I absolutely loved Colin's character - he was very understanding and compassionate throughout and was overall a stand-up guy. The romance between the two was healthy and the pair communicated well throughout which was quite refreshing. Although Truly was annoying at some points, especially when she tries to get her parents back together using a Parent Trap style intervention, she was a well written character with realistic flaws.
The book was quite fast-paced and there were plenty of steamy scenes interspersed throughout. I got very emotionally invested in the characters and the story and I didn't want it to end. I'll definitely be picking up more Alexandria Bellefleur novels in future.
I also really appreciated the queer representation as both main characters are bi. It felt like a very natural part of the plot and wasn't tokenistic at all.
Overall, this was a fun and spicy rom-com with a convincing enemies to lovers plot with forced proximity. I'd recommend it if you're looking for an easy steamy read with an uplifting commentary on love and relationships.
Truly, Madly, Deeply will be released on 30 April. Thank you to NetGalley who provided this ARC in return for an honest review.

Really struggled with this one - marketed as a queer romance, features lots of discussions of queerness that in themselves I find valid but as a marketing ploy I find deeply cynical. At it's core it is an M/F romance - it's great that the characters themselves are queer, or exploring their queerness (one has never dated their own gender and presumably since this is a HEA romance, never will) - but that does not make THIS a queer romance. The way in which they discuss their queerness is stilted and unnatural, as if the author is speaking to the reader defensively, rather than an actual human being on a page having real deep emotion. I have enjoyed Bellefleur's previous books and would never want someone to only ever write WLW if they felt called to more expressions of sexuality, but the marketing around this is very off to me. The book itself I found a little unconvincing, and the chemistry less palpable than her previous books, but overall inoffensive enough.

Despite the dual bisexual rep, which I appreciated, this one didn’t land for me. The lengthy banter between the protagonists wasn’t engaging, I didn’t care for the inconsistent writing style (sometimes very casual, sometimes overwrought) - particularly the conversations with the heroine’s crass friend Lulu - and the whole ‘Parent Trap’ subplot and its resolution was so dumb, I cringed. Colin is lovely but almost too perfect to be in any way relatable as a character, and Truly is weirdly preoccupied with his moles and mentions them so often in her internal monologue that I was starting to imagine him as basically having Dalmatian-style spots all over his face and body. I had high hopes based on others’ reviews but overall I struggled to maintain my interest in this book and found myself skimming just to get to the end.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advance reader copy.

Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and the publishers for sending me a copy of this in exchange for an honest review.
I want to preface this review with an age rating. This book is definitely an 18+ and contains sexually explicit scenes and mature themes.
Truly, Madly, Deeply is a contemporary romance book with reverse grumpy/sunshine and enemies to lovers. Colin is a family lawyer who doesn't believe in love, and Truly is a romance author who believes that love is the best thing to exist. Following a blow-up on a podcast, they suddenly start spending time together and realise that they are not as different as they seem. I truly loved the plot for this book, I thought it was funny, engaging, and the best meet cute I've read in a long time. I loved the relationship between the two main characters - even apart - they were obviously perfect for each other.
Colin is the definition of a book boyfriend. Think bridgerton-esque, a lawyer who wears suits and glasses. He's smart, kind, thoughtful, and truly gets a kick out of treating his partner like royalty. Truly is a laugh out loud romance author with a huge personality and probably a little more sass than most people are ready for. I found her manipulative at times, and there were moments when she acted more like a teenager than a 27 year old. However, beyond that, I thought she was a very well written and thought-out character. Both the main characters are queer in this book, defining their sexuality as queer/bisexual. The author touched on the difficulties of being bi and yet only being in relationships with people who identify as the opposite gender, discussing the imposter syndrome and identity of the characters. I loved this as it made the characters much more well-rounded and diverse. Their familial relationships and friendships were all beautifully written and incredibly well thought out. I was angry right alongside the characters, I laughed out loud with them and blushed every time Colin complimented Truly (wink wink, nudge nudge).
The bare bones of the writing were engaging, interesting, and very well done. The author is truly a master of her craft. Sometimes romance books can feel rushed or under edited, but the author clearly took her time writing this, doing her research and working hard to create something that was representative of multiple demographics, sexualities and personalities. I loved the opening chapter - it had me hooked from the first sentence, waiting for what was going to happen next. The sex scenes were well written and definitely didn't feel made up or hyperbolic in any way. I loved the way the author worked with her words and created a book that felt both real and like an escape at the same time.
The author also gets bonus points for all the Taylor Swift references!
4 stars ♡

This is such a charming and delightful romcom. It made me laugh but there's so much more than just humour. Truly is a romance writer. She’s complicated. She holds her beliefs very tightly but she’s also in a particularly vulnerable spot as she meets Colin on the same day she finds her fiancé cheating. Colin is a family lawyer - divorce lawyer - and has a cynical view around relationships, but ironically he’s much more open to exploring something with Truly and making himself vulnerable than she is. There’s lots of jokes and winks, show tunes, puns, but you don’t need to get any of them to be immersed in this world.
Their family situations are complicated and these are breadcrumbs and side issues for us. Colin’s family are toxic, Truly’s parents are her blueprint for a relationship, but they are trial-separating. It feels like Alexandria is saying that yes life is messy and complicated and not everything can be tied up with a ribbon, even when this is romance.
Colin and Truly connect through a podcast - there’s so much banter - he’s a lawyer, she’s a writer so they can both use their words. Truly a bit precious to be honest but this doesn’t make her any less appealing. Their dynamic suggests that Colin will be the anchor as Truly swishes about and overthinks everything.
The steamy steam is fiery 🌶🌶 but also messy- this is intimacy between grownups, it’s sticky and mucky and sloppy and yes, delicious!
It’s queer - ‘action and attraction are two different things’ - and thoughtful. This is such a rare mix - an romcom which is joyful and silly, and also an insightful argument that we can be with someone and be optimistic and support them and ourselves without having all our own stuff together.
Thank you NetGalley, the publisher and Alexandria Bellefleur for trusting me with an ARC. I adored this!

I really enjoyed this book.
For me, it was a great contemporary romance. I laughed out loud several times and found the characters very loveable. The FMC Truly could be a little infuriating but I loved that her support network set her straight.
At first I thought the MMC Colin wasn’t going to tick my boxes, but I was so wrong! He was such a great communicator and just was Truly needed. And the tension and spice?? Yes.
I feel the author handled the topic of sexuality beautifully and I loved the theme of imperfect families.
I do wish the “enemies” aspect of enemies to lovers had been a bit stronger as I love angst but overall, this was a really enjoyable read and I was fully invested until the end.
