Had enough on my TBR list but after seeing all the glowing reviews I had to see what the hype was about.
The premise of the book is pretty simple, the FMC is a romance author and the MMC is a family (divorce) lawyer. Both meet on a podcast where tensions rise due to differing opinions/personalities.
The whole setup is pretty interesting and the story was very fast paced. The chemistry between the two MCs was undeniable. One of the issues I had was how quick the ‘bantering’ between the two MCs started and it felt like it went too far at times. Towards the end I grew used to it but definitely felt a bit forced at the beginning.
Also the situation with MMCs family issues felt unresolved. You find out why he was holding a grudge and was distant and then that was it? There was no meeting half way or any sort of resolution.
A quick and easy read but definitely has some flaws.

In the space of a week, successful romance author Truly St James walks in on her (soon-to-be ex) fiancé in a compromising position and learns her parents (her beacon of true love) are separating. Awkwardly thrown into a podcast recording about love commitment, and romance, Truly meets Colin McCrory, who inadvertently tramples on her newly shattered faith in relationships. An optimist and walking green flag to the core, Colin resolves to win Truly’s heart
This was a really fun, cute read, with a lot of heart. I loved Truly and Colin’s biting banter throughout, and their relationship development. Truly’s stubbornness and self protection was perfectly matched by Colin’s respect for her and gentle persistence.
While there were a few more coincidences than seemed plausible, they made for fun surprises throughout the story, and I was more than happy to suspend my disbelief in the name of romance.
The contrast between Truly's supportive parents and Colin's dysfunctional family adds depth, drawing Truly and Colin closer together. Special mention goes to the clever incorporation of musical references throughout the St James' household, injecting humour even in the midst of their disagreements.
Thank you Little, Brown Book Group UK and NetGalley for a copy of this book. Opinions expressed are my own.

I read this book in one sitting. The book is about Truly and Colin the meet on a podcast and get off on the wrong foot. I enjoy the banter between them it and the book made me smile and laugh. As a fan of the parent trap it was nice to see that included in the book.
Thank you to Alexandria and Net galley for allowing me to read this in exchange for a honest review.

An Amazing book from a author I adore, The romantic and a realist, in this new book by Alexandria Bellefleur a romance author and a divorce lawyer meet and but heads on a podcast when giving advice to listeners/ viewers. I was hooked on this before chapter 1 even finished, based on the authors previous work I was excited to start this Arc and it did not disappoint. The author knows exactly how to drop a Taylor Swift reference that is how you do it 10/10, we love an author who doesn't drag other people in creative industries. The Bi representation was amazing, and the internalised biphobia was well touched upon I felt a deep connection to Truely the main FMC when she spoke about coming out to her parents and really connected to her. My favourite part of this book was probably the banter between the FMC and MMC. This was an amazing light read which had me kicking my feet but also made me emotional it was such a well rounded piece. Thank you to Netgalley for granting me this opportunity.

This was one of my most anticipated reads of the year so I was very excited to receive an arc.
I enjoyed the book, it was a quick, easy read and made me laugh occasionally.
My main issue whilst reading was how immature all of the characters were, and the lack of depth they had. Truly, the main character didn't really have anything memorable about her and was just very childish, whereas the best friend, Lulu, had a very exaggerated sense of humour, which felt a little tiring and excessive.
The parent trapping aspect of the book was a lot of fun, as was the slow romance building between Truly and Colin, but there were moments where the plot felt rushed and unfinished.

5/5 Stars
Thank you to Little Brown Book Group UK and Netgalley for providing me with an arc.
I fell in love with Alexandria Bellefleur’s books with her Written in the Stars series. Hang the Moon was my favorite in that series and part of the reason is because I love seeing bisexual representation in mf relationships as showing those are just as important as showing bisexual people in same sex relationships they all are valid and are queer relationships. So when I learned this book has double bisexual rep, I knew I had to get my hands on it. This is my new favorite from Bellefleur and fully solidified her as an instabuy author.
Truly Livingston thought she knew Happily ever afters and is known for being an expert on them, so when her life comes crashing down from her fiance cheating on her to her parents separating she starts to feel like a fraud. Before her life came crashing down she had signed to be on a podcast to talk about her perspective as a romantic and thought it would be a good distraction until she meets her cohost. Colin is hot but when he opens his mouth he can’t help but piss Truly off. But a few days later when Colin tracks Truly down to apologize and ask for a fresh start, Truly can’t help but get a little thrill from Colin begging for forgiveness. But when their relationship starts to progress, Truly can’t help but feel like it might be too good to be true.
I really loved Truly and Colin, I loved seeing them both develop and also Colin fell so hard so fast which I loved. Truly goes through a lot and I loved seeing her deal with everything while also trying to see where her relationship with Colin could go. I loved seeing them go from hating each other to lovers and it was so fun. Also the spice in this book was off the charts and went from 0 to 100 for that first spicy scene and it was great. This is Alexandria Bellefleur’s spiciest book to date at least out of the ones I have read so far.
I can’t recommend this book enough, it has great bisexual representation, amazing subtle ADHD representation in our MMC, a fun hate to love story, and a well done story of what happens when a romantic’s perception of love gets turned upside down.

This is my first Alexandria Bellefleur book, I’ve heard great things about her romances, but sadly I was a little disappointed.
There was some really good bits and even a few parts that made me laugh out loud. I love seeing a bisexual couple in fiction and their dynamic for the most part was really fun. The texts as they got to know each other were a highlight.
I really wanted to love it.
But, the spicy scenes and dirty talk came across quite cringy. It’s a personal taste thing I guess, and I am pretty picky with my spice scenes. It’s a shame it didn’t fully work for me, because I loved how focused Colin was on Trudy’s pleasure and the light hint of kink and power play was fun. I almost wished it had leaned into that more.
Also, Truly’s repetitive-ness about not being ready to date Colin and losing faith in love really started to get on my nerves. At first it kinda made sense, but as their relationship developed it was just starting to get annoying. The reasoning behind it didn’t feel strong enough to me. It honestly would have made more sense for Colin to have relationship insecurities with his personal history.
And ugh the whole stupid side story of Trudy’s parents on a trial separation and her trying to parent trap them was so so silly. The way it was done just made Trudy come across really immature.
I needed an easy romance read and in some ways this did satisfy that. It gave me a few laughs and a cute, but feisty, queer relationship. Just too many niggles that made me roll my eyes. It’s like I do want these characters but with a slightly different, less silly plot…
Probably a 3.5 for me.
Thank you to Netgalley for an advanced copy of this one in exchange for an honest review.

I loved Bellefleur’s first three books (haven’t gotten around the The Fiancé Farce yet) and knowing this one was up for requesting had me logging into my netgalley account quick time. God, am I the luckiest girl for getting a quick approval? I think so!
I just absolutely loved this story from the get go. I loved the chemistry between Colin and Truly so much. They’re so snarky and hilarious and you could feel the energy between them shining through the words. It was such a refreshing take on a love story where it’s not mushy or over the top.
And the pair of them together made my heart sing. I can’t remember the last time I was this invested in a couple making it through a book.
It was such a unique story and the author will continue to be an auto buy for me.

Truly, Madly, Deeply is my first book by Alexandria Bellefleur (and what a cool name, right??? Some people are just born God’s favourites) and I had so much fun with this book!
It’s been on my radar for a few months when I’ve been on the hunt for some queer books to read and was so excited to see if finally on NetGalley to request. The premise was really fun with a unique edge on how our MCs Truly and Colin meet— on a podcast with polarising opinions about love, commitment and romance. Truly was really lovely as a heroine, I was immediately drawn to her and found myself really connecting with her somewhat neurotic and assertive tendencies. Colin was cute and adorable while still being hot and swoon-worthy. I really love heroes like Colin who aren’t overtly arrogant or rude, but just teasing enough that it makes for some killer banter which we got in spades! It truly was one of my favourite things about the book, just how easy their back and forth banter was— so effortless and fun.
It was the perfect romcom that I needed right now that promises an easy but engaging read. I just had so much fun and would love to read more books by Bellefleur so off to her backlist I go :)

A romance author's faith in love was tested after she caught her ex-fiancé cheating. And THEN her parents's marriage which is her blueprint for true love also starting to cracks. On top of that, there's this one family lawyer she met on a podcast recording who tested her patience and challenged her belief in relationship. In short, Truly St. James' life is currently tangled up in total mess. But hey, life must go on.
Now let's get straight to the point, I LOVED the banter. It's clear that Truly & Colin were enjoying their time spitting words at each other. It's kind of their love language and it works well for them and the story. The plot was okay too even though the coincidences felt too much & too convenient most of the time. Like okay this is a fiction but personally it bugged me. Also there's several things that were mentioned or even part of the early plot but never brought up again after later. Yes it's not crucial to the main focus that is the progression of the relationship, of course, but it would be nice to get a little follow up or update on those trivial things. And lastly, I wasn't really fond of Truly's character. Her temper & stubbornness were too much on some parts.
But overall it's an enjoyable read, the banter really won me over lmao
