Rob is a cheater. There’s his wife, Jen, whose top priority is their 3 children. And then there’s Mia, the young temp who started working at his realty firm. As Jen’s world gets turned upside down chapter after chapter, Rob’s lies unfold further. His wife isn’t the only person he’s lied to.

This book had so many twists and turns that I truly did not expect. Every time I swore I had it all figured out, something new was thrown in to knock me off the trail.

This was a really fun read, especially if you like domestic thriller as much as I do!

This was the first book by this author I had read and I enjoyed it.
I liked Jen (although felt she was very naive for the first half of the book) but overall was rooting for her.
I did get to 45% and thought the synopsis just wasn’t matching up but once hit 50% it all linked in. There wasn’t any twists that I didn’t see coming but I still enjoyed the story and devoured it quite quickly.
I have already downloaded some of this authors other works and looking forward to reading them also.

Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review. This has not in any way influenced my review or opinion.

A page turning story about infidelity & a scorned spouse. Rob and Jen were the picture perfect household, until they weren’t. Jen and her two friends Natasha and Amy discover that Rob isn’t the man they thought he was, and Jen has a plan to fix everything. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, thanks NetGalley for the opportunity to read this ARC.

WOW. This was a rollercoaster and I loved every minute of it.

The characters were written so well, and the story flowed beautifully. I was hooked. The narration switched from the wife’s perspective to the mistresses perspective, and the twist was GOOD in this one. I was not expecting it to go in that direction at all.

Thank you NetGalley for the advanced copy of this book, I’d recommend it to anyone who loves edge of your seat thrillers.

𝐇𝐞'𝐥𝐥 𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐦𝐞. 𝐈 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥. 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞'𝐬 𝐧𝐨 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭. 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐟𝐞. 𝐒𝐡𝐞'𝐥𝐥 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐮𝐬 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧.

I honestly thought this was going to be a typical domestic suspense, but all the glowing reviews had me curious, and after finishing, I agree with them all 100%! This book was anything but typical.

Jen is married to a complete narcissist and womanizer, Rob. After moving to a luxury apartment with their three children, Jen was expecting to go back to work. However, financially, it made much more sense for her to stay home until the youngest child was in school.

Rob is charming but controls the finances, expects a clean house and a home-cooked dinner every night, and if he comes home smelling like perfume, there's always a logical answer.

Finally, Jen's friends Amy and Natasha jump on Jen's insecurities and do some digging. They find some pretty incriminating evidence about Rob, and I thought for sure I knew what was going to happen.

I stand corrected. I knew nothing. The last third of this book had me swiping the pages at warp speed. The twists were perfectly executed, the character development was absolutely dynamic, and I'm eager to start ransacking this author's backlist. Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for this early copy. This title will publish April 10, 2024.

Thankful for the ARC. I enjoyed this book but I spotted every plot twist a mile away. Some parts of the also felt really redundant.

MHA by new to me author R. Heald, published by Bookouture, is a full length, stand alone thriller.
Jenn is a married mother of three with the apparently perfect husband.
An husband who in reality is a womanizer who takes faith for a can be nit has to be.
Woken from her rosecolored dream Jen has a new reality to face. And facing does she do.
A story of love, marriage, betrayal and revenge, then starting over gripped me with both hands and didn't let go anymore. Intriguing, suspenseful , the whole enchilada, 5 stars.

My first experience with this author and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. Loved the books usage of separate POVs to build the storyline. Main character Jen turns out to be just as manipulative as her cheating husband and makes sure the tables turn in her favor with the help of some unexpected allies. I wasn’t totally sold on the quick wrap ending, but overall a great read.

This was a fast paced, quick read that kept me constantly guessing. Ruth Heald does a really good job in this book of depicting a stay-at-home mother of three kids, Jen. I related to quite a bit of the exhaustion.

Jen and Rob are in the thick of raising their children when Jen realizes he has been having an affair. Jen teeters on divorce while Rob desperately wants to save their marriage. I appreciated both perspectives along with friends Natasha and Amy. It was nice to watch friendships unfold during marriage turmoil, supporting Jen through turmoil.

You will find yourself walking a sultry alongside Jen angry, hurt and confused in this twisty read.

Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Jen has an almost perfect life, married to Rob, a successful estate agent, 3 beautiful children and living in a penthouse apartment. But when she mistakenly sees a text on Robs phone she accuses him of an affair, of course he denies it but this is where the story becomes more intense.
A real easy fast paced page turner. Just when you think you know where the story is going but of course in pure Ruth Heald style nothing is as it seems as the tension mounts.
A great read and I'm grateful to Netgalley and Bookouture for the opportunity to read this advanced copy, my opinions are my own and I'm under no obligation to leave them

Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for this ARC. I loved every page of this book! This book is full of thrill and suspense that kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the whole read. Ruth Heald took me on a roller coaster of emotions. I felt nothing but love and admiration for Jen (the main character) and pure hate for Rob. This book is a journey! From love, friendships, betrayal and an unexpected twist... I could not recommend a psychological thriller more! Visit the link to my instagram account where I post all of my reviews!

Thank you Bookouture and NetGalley for an early copy of My Husband’s Affair. I LOVED THIS BOOK, from the cover to the very last page, it was an AWESOME read!!!!! So TWISTED, MIND BOGGLING AND CONSUMING! Rob was such a sleazy character, Natasha and that part of the plot was unnecessary but I’m glad it went the way it did and in a weird way I actually felt bad for Amy. Jen was the Greatest heroine, she just exuded such strength in every part of the book. A FANTASTIC NOVEL!! Thank you Ruth Heald for another great one.

Rob doesn’t know Jen’s suspicions but does have an idea on how to save their finances.

I read a lot of thriller and expect big reveal - of course; Ms. Heald comes through with some surprises.

Story was better than 3 star good but just wasn’t 4-star great – it did keep me curious.
However, we know from the blurb on the cover
”We promised forever… but only one of us will leave this marriage alive.”
The revenge in this Domestic Thriller just wasn’t all that clever - nothing earth shattering.

I do like Ruth Heald and will read another!

I read " The Nanny" back in September 2022 and became a Ruth Heald fan. I gave that story 5 stars (I give very few 5 star ratings! )
It was a nice surprise read for me! I went into that story expecting a typical Nanny accused of taking the baby she was caring for but it was a lot more!

Want to thank NetGalley and Bookouture for this early eGalley.
Publishing Release Date scheduled for April 10, 2024.

My Husband's Affair tells the story of a seemingly perfect marriage with infidelity under the surface. Jen Peterson is a dutiful wife to her husband Rob. She is a stay at home mom who takes care of their home and 3 children while Rob works as a real estate agent in London. While they've drifted apart a little over the past few years with the general chaos of life, Jen never could have imagined that her husband was keeping secrets, including an affair.

Some thrillers are a painfully slow lead up to a lot of action unwinding over the course of a chapter or two. Not this one! I liked the pace of the story and how it unfolded throughout. The story itself was very intricate which I also enjoyed. I liked that there were things at play other than just the affair too, kept things interesting. And lastly, the variety and complexity to the main characters was great and I liked that each of them (for the most part) got a chapter from their point of view.

Side note, Ruth Heald also did a great job showcasing the exhaustion of being a stay at home mom. I feel like so many people, fictional characters included, glorify and glamorize what it's like to be a stay at home mom. But that is a full time job in and of itself.

This may be the first novel I've read by Ruth Heald but it definitely won't be the last!

My Husband's Affair by Ruth Heald is a completely addictive thriller from an author who very quickly established herself as a must read for me. Ms Heald, you have done it again.

Jen has a comfortable life with her husband Rob and their three beautiful children. But Rob's philandering has never really been a secret, and Jen's closest friends tell her she needs to leave him, though she continues to turn a blind eye to his many lies.

This was a thoroughly gripping read, due largely in part to a multi-dimensional cast of characters. You will be rooting for a satisfactory comeuppance from beginning to end. 4.5 stars

Many thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for an ARC.

This was a brilliantly written thriller which was fast paced so kept me hooked from start to finish. The chapters were short which helped build the suspense up with many twists and turn I could not guess how it was going to end.

When Jen finds a secret phone and a message on it saying I will deal with my wife Jen soon realises that her husband Rob is planning on leaving her for another Women. Jen doesn’t want to lose the life her and her children have so what lengths will she go to keep that life but Rob may be one step ahead of her.

This was such a gripping read which I highly recommend full of surprises which you won’t see coming. Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for my advanced copy.
