One thing about me, is that I love Lovelight Farms. I adored the first three books in the series when I first read them about two years ago. So I was so excited when the fourth book was announced, even more excited to see it was going to center Nova and Charlie. I loved when Charlie made appearances in the other books and thought him and Nova would make an excellent couple. And while their love story had cute moments, I am SO SAD to say this one is not for me. It didn't live up to my expectations (maybe that was the problem), and I had a lot of trouble actually caring for them as a couple.
My main issue is that the whole "friends with benefits" was too fast. As readers we are supposed to believe that they have been flirting and being friendly even before the events of the book, which sure, but I had trouble believing that they were actually friends and knew each other before sleeping together. After they sleep together (which I didn't like how the spice was written in this one), the rest of the story was just boring. They had issues individually that I did appreciated and enjoy watching them get through them, but other than that, the heart and magic that the other books had, was IMO nowhere to be found in this one. Yes, there are cute scenes, and cute moments between them (the tattoo being one of them), but other than that, I just couldn't feel any chemistry. There were moments that the story felt repetitive. The same issue over and over again, Charlie with the "I'm not enough" and Nova with the "I am not perfect.", both of them gave me the "I am not like the others" vibe and I just...no!
Maybe after release I will check out audiobook to see if it makes a difference but for now, this book was just not it for me and I am so so sad about it.

I absolutely adored this book and I'm finding it hard to put my feelings into words. Please bear with me if this review seems a bit all over the place. I want to start by expressing my gratitude to Pan Macmillan and B.K. Borison for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. It came into my life at just the right time.
This story resonated with me on so many levels. At times, it felt like I was reading about myself, and at others, it felt like a soothing balm for my soul. The central romance between Charlie Milford, a high-stakes executive, and Nova Porter, a tattoo artist, was captivating. Their decision to have a one-night fling to explore their mutual attraction leads to an unexpected depth of connection. As Charlie temporarily stays in town to assist his sister, their paths continue to intersect in the small community of Inglewild, leading to further complications.
I particularly loved Charlie's character. His struggles with ADHD and his tendency to prioritize others' happiness over his own deeply resonated with me. While I wish the portrayal of ADHD had been explored more deeply, I always appreciate seeing characters with this condition as it helps me feel a stronger connection to them.
As the youngest of four siblings, I also related to Nova's desire to make her eldest sibling proud. Both she and I understand the weight of wanting to live up to their expectations, especially considering their role as a parental figure in our lives. Witnessing these two characters, each with their own emotional wounds, slowly find healing in each other and fall in love was truly beautiful. It serves as a reminder that it's okay to feel lonely, to be vulnerable with your partner, and to desire independence within a relationship.
I highly recommend giving this book a chance. I can assure you, it won't disappoint.

I was so happy to be back with this series. I loved the first 2 and this one did not disappoint. I loved the characters just as much as the other books and it was nice to see them all back together again. The spice is just as spicy in this one too so if you enjoyed that you won’t be disappointed!

The combination of reverse grumpy meets sunshine, opposites attract, friends with benefits, and friends to lovers tropes forms a secret formula that makes this book extra entertaining, addictive, steamy, but surprisingly sentimental and genuine, just like the other books in the series.

Often when you read a book you anticipate so much, you always pick it up with that little sliver of doubt or apprehension. That was very much the case for me with this book, I went into it knowing it will be the last Lovelight Farm book and that alone made me a little sad as well. So all these things were swirling in my mind before opening the book, and let me just say, all of that dissapeared the MOMENT I read the first page.
B.K Borison has such a talent for utter transportation and her small town romances do the thing that I feel is essential when writing a small town romance, which is for the town or the setting itself to feel like a character and she accomplishes that here flawlessly, from the nosy neighbors to the beautiful setting I was transported and I loved every second.
Now, Charlie and Nova, where to even begin? I loved them, I loved them separately and I loved them together, I was rooting for them from the start. I'm not ashamed to say these two had me crying near the end.
This book had me smiling like a loon, crying like a fountain and swooning like a mid century debutante. Im sad to see this series end, but it is a bittersweet sad, Im so happy all these characters found their happy

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ 4.5
"Business Casual" by B.K. Borison is an absolute delight! From the very first page, I was captivated by the refreshingly different storyline and well-developed characters. As a fan of tattoos, I connected on a deeper level with Nova. Her vibrant personality and unique style brought an authentic edge to the story. Charlie is such a unique male character; I don’t think I’ve read anyone like him before. His depth and subtle charm were a refreshing change from typical romantic leads.
One of my favorite parts of the book was seeing Nova take the lead in grand gestures. It was invigorating to see the female protagonist stepping up and making bold moves, a refreshing twist from the usual romance trope where the male character takes this role. Borison's casual and friendly tone makes the book an easy and enjoyable read, perfectly balancing humor and heart. The plot is engaging and unique, keeping me hooked until the very end. Whether you're a fan of contemporary fiction or just looking for something new and refreshing, this book is a must-read. Highly recommended!

What a little gem this was! I went into it, half expecting it was yet another small-town romance, that would get me out of a reading slump. What I got, was a love story I will gladly read over and over again.
Charlie and Nova were absolutely wonderful. Charlie with his golden retriever energy, ready to do anything for the people he love and Nova being the ultimate bada**. Both with their own struggles, trying to find a place where they belong.
If the “he falls first” trope is your favorite and you simply cannot resist a well-written cinnamon roll MMC, this one is for you.
If you're looking for a great palette cleanser between fantasy books or just need a heartwarming and sweet romance, I think you should definitely give this one a chance!

Thank you NetGalley for the E-arc in exchange for an honest review.
This was an amazing end to one of my most favourite series I’ve read! Nova and Charlie’s chemistry was everything, I loved their banter and their sweet moments. Plus I loved seeing the other couples from the previous books! Honestly just a perfect read!

Tropes ~ friends to lovers, black cat/golden retriever, brothers best friend , small town
✨ I have adored this series so much and I’m so sad it’s come to and end but what a perfect book to end it with. The story was so beautiful and I felt so connected to both these characters, I wish we could stay at lovelight farms forever!!
✨I already liked Charlie from the previous books but I fell in love with him straight away in this book. I felt like we really got to understand him in this book and my heart broke for him so much. I loved Nova and the way she was with Charlie , it was obvious to everyone around them that they were inevitable and I loved seeing their friendship grow to love. Their chemistry was off the charts from the beginning and they were just so much fun to read about.
✨ I loved seeing the other couples and getting a glimpse into the future with them, I really have enjoyed this entire series and I can’t wait to see what’s next for B.K Borison

Tattoo artist Nova, Beckett's little sister (book 2) and financial advisor Charlie, Stella's older brother (book 1) start a 'Business Casual' arrangement. Neither of them are looking for anything serious but both need to relieve some tension.
Lovelight Farms still remains my favourite of the series but this is definitely a close second! Nova and Charlie felt like one of the most realistic couples of the series, but I did find their story a little...bland. This is definitely not a plot heavy book so if you love the characters, you'll probably love the book!
The smut was definitely smutting in this one!
I think Fans of the Lovelight Series may disappointed that we don't get an extended epilogue saying goodbye to all their favourite characters. I was hoping to see how they were all doing 10 years down the line.
Overall, I loved book 1 and it feels like BK Borison put her heart and soul into that one. However, the sequels have felt lacklustre in comparison and don't stand out against other small town romances that I have read.
Book Includes:
- Dual POV
- Small Town Romance
- Friends-with-benefits-to-lovers
- Playboy MMC
- ADHD Rep
I received an advanced copy for free through NetGalley, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for giving me a copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.
Charlie and Nova have known eachother for a while, considering her brother works with Cahrlie's sister Stella. Now he is staying in town for a month while Stella is away and Nova can't ignore that she is quite atracted to him. This is my favourite book of the four, it was so fluffy and cozy and i couldn't stop smiling and both Nova and Charlie were so complex yet so loveable and felt so real...
Nova is trying to open a tattoo shop and is fighting with herself, feels likea burden and is scared to disappoint the people who helped her so much. Charlie is a people pleaser, he is working a job he doesn't really likes and livinf a life where he has to pretend to be someone he is not ( although this changers every time he visits Inglewild). They start their friendship turned more at the right moment. Charlie helps Nova realize that asking for help is not a weakness while Nova teaches him about putting oneself first.
Their relationship started as a one night stand yet it was so much more than that. It was slow, getting to know eachother, realizing things about the other communicating, being vulnerable... it was beautiful. ( Plus we love mendling neighbours right?)
Overall this was the perfect conclusion to the series and can't wait to read more by the author.

Business Casual by B.K. Borison
Overview:
*Business Casual* by B.K. Borison, the final installment in the beloved Lovelight series, is a delightful romance that explores the unexpected connection between two seemingly opposite characters. Nova Porter, a fiercely independent tattoo artist, and Charlie Milford, a buttoned-up investment banker, discover that one night together might not be enough to get each other out of their systems.
Review:
*Business Casual* is a captivating blend of opposites-attract and no-strings-attached romance that kept me hooked from the first page. Nova Porter is a refreshing protagonist—strong, independent, and dedicated to her new tattoo studio in her hometown of Inglewild. She’s not looking for love, but there’s something about the charming and meticulously dressed Charlie Milford that she can’t quite ignore.
Charlie, temporarily in town as the head of Lovelight Farms, is equally compelling. Despite his professional demeanor, he’s determined to help Nova and is undeniably attracted to her. The chemistry between them is electric, and their banter is both sharp and endearing. Nova’s proposition for one night without strings is meant to clear the air, but it only deepens their connection, leading to an engaging and emotional journey.
The plot is well-paced, balancing moments of intense passion with genuine character development. Borison excels at creating a rich, small-town atmosphere in Inglewild, where everyone knows everyone, and the sense of community is palpable. The supporting characters, including those from previous books in the Lovelight series, add warmth and depth to the story.
Thematically, *Business Casual* explores the tension between personal independence and the vulnerability required to let someone in. Nova’s journey is particularly resonant as she grapples with her fears of commitment and her burgeoning feelings for Charlie. Charlie’s persistence and belief in their potential as a couple is both touching and realistic, making their romance feel earned and authentic.
Writing Style:
B.K. Borison’s writing is engaging and vivid, with a knack for creating relatable characters and heartfelt moments. The dialogue is witty and natural, enhancing the chemistry between Nova and Charlie. The descriptive passages bring Inglewild to life, making it a place readers will want to visit again and again.
*Business Casual* is a heartwarming and satisfying conclusion to the Lovelight series. B.K. Borison delivers a romance that is as touching as it is steamy, with characters who feel real and relatable. Fans of the series will love seeing familiar faces, while new readers will quickly fall in love with the charm of Inglewild and its inhabitants.
I highly recommend *Business Casual* to anyone looking for a romance that blends humor, heart, and heat in perfect measure. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing this wonderful ARC for review. Happy reading!
Until next time, keep believing in the magic of love and the joy of unexpected connections!
Behind Her Grey Eyes

The 4th instalment to the Lovelight series does not disappoint one bit! (B.K. Borison does it again!)
I loved Charlie and Nova's story, their banter was an absolute joy to read and I devoured this book. Charlie is absolutely smitten with Nova, he flirts with her at every opportunity (backyard wedding was one of my favourites when we look back over this but no spoilers here!) and is a perfect MMC (my fav our of all the love light men actually! Sorry Beckett!)
Nova - what a FMC - I loved her own journey through the opening of her tattoo/plant loving shop and that made it more than just a romance book and I loved every second!!
There is no 3rd act break-up thank goodness as sometimes it is written in with absolute no need - I did give this 4.5 stars - I very rare give a full 5 stars to any romance book - but this is a top tier love story and I will happily read again and again!
**Thank you PanMacmillan & Net Galley for a ARC in exchange for an honest review**

From B.K. Borison (and honestly a perfect summary of the book!)
Charlie and Nova are the fourth and final installment of the Lovelight series. Here are some things to look forward to with their love story:
- sunshine, girl obsessed, chaotic himbo boy
- driven, confident, sarcastic, gooey inside gal
- opposites attract
- flirting as a love language
- just once to get it out of our systems
- oh sh*t, it's not getting out of our systems
- inglewild phone tree x 1000, they branch into a printed newsletter
- the whole family involved and invested (stella's brother and beckett's sister and lots of meddling from all parties)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - “Maybe this is what happy is supposed to be. A person, a place. A single moment in time.” - Business Casual, B.K Borison
Thank you to NetGalley and panmacmillan for sending me the arc for Business Casual.
- One Night Stand
- Friends to Lovers
- No Third Act break up
- Small Town Romance
- Dual POV
If you like any of these tropes, then you need to read Business Casual.
This was my first B.K Borison book and it did not disappoint! I now understand why there is so much love for the Lovelight Farm series. Now I need to go back and read the rest of the series!
Nova and Charlie were honestly so cute together - the most perfect match! The romance between these two feels so real even though there’s an agreement for there to be a one night stand and nothing else. The one night stand trope isn’t usually my thing, but Borison writes their story and develops their relationship in such a lovely way. What’s starts off as a spark, develops naturally into something much more and there’s a perfect balance between angst and those sweet moments.
You’ll find yourself relating to the romance in this story, but there’s also the emotional journeys that the characters go on as well. Borison beautifully delves into the complexities of self-worth and the struggle of not feeling like you fit in anywhere. The representation of ADHD is portrayed is a very sensitive and authentic way, helping us to understand Charlie’s character more.
I loved the small town vibes and the all of the little details of both the characters and the town that also create a sense of belonging for the reader, allowing us to truly immerse ourselves in the story!
This was a really good standalone read and I’m really excited to read the rest of the series.

We're only a few days into June and I've already decided that this book is going to be in my top 10 of the year! Without a doubt, Charlie and Nova have my entire heart. I loved being back in Inglewood and I absolutely adored Nova and Charlie as characters. I found it so emotive reading about Charlie's struggle with people-pleasing and feeling that he isn't good enough for anyone. Nova and her hard-core outer shell appears to be the opposite of Charlie's sunshine vibes, when in fact, deep down the two of them are so similar.
I absolutely loved the writing in this, and the found family aspect is sooo wholesome.
The witty, flirty banter between Charlie and Nova was perfect and a really good balance to the serious feelings being portrayed.
Read this if you like:-
- friends with benefits to lovers
- found family
- reverse grumpy x sunshine
- dual POV

Business Casual is an absolute delight! The characters are incredibly likeable, each with distinct voices and multiple points of view that are easy to follow. The quick romance is engaging and I found myself eagerly rooting for them to get together. Although it's part 4 of a series, it stands alone perfectly, and I was so captivated that I quickly ordered the first three books. The writing style is simply superb—crisp, engaging, and thoroughly enjoyable. Highly recommended!

“For the ones who haven’t found their place yet. There’s a little tree farm waiting for you”
The final book in the Lovelight Farms series and can I say I miss all these characters already! If you haven’t read this series yet I 100% recommend it, if you’re looking for some feel-good, cozy, cutesy books with the absolute best characters THESE ARE THEM!
Business casual is an opposites attract, he falls first, one-night stand turns into a “business casual” relationship, small-town romance.
I loved this book, I honestly didn’t stop laughing. Charlie and Nova are the absolute cutest. Charlie was such a cinnamon roll, he has the best sense of humour and always tries to bring light to a situation. He does the most for all the people he loves, even if it puts him at a disadvantage.
Nova is a really strong FMC, she is so sassy, caring, and just an overall badass. She brings the best out in Charlie and honestly, those two are just perfection.
The banter, the tension and just everything between Charlie and Nova had me snickering and kicking my legs.
I’m honestly having a little bit of separation anxiety from finishing these books, I just loved all the characters and the little town of Inglewild(with their phone tree😂) so much!
Charlie: “Do you usually wear pretty underwear like this?”
Nova: “Yeah. Usually”
Charlie: “I’m going to have a hard time with that.”
Nova: “It looks like you’re having a very hard time”
Thank you B.K Borison , Netgalley, and Pan Macmillan for an e-arc of this book in exchange for an honest review

B K Borison has quickly become a favourite of mine in the contemporary romance genre, and I was so thrilled to be approved for the Business Casual ARC. This fourth installment in the Lovelight Farms series is the best of the bunch, and I can't wait to see what she brings next!

Aaaaah, this small town romance is EVERYTHING! I loved this book!
This is my first book from this author and althrough I’ve been wanting to pick up any of the other 3 books from Inglewild, somehow I never do… very hyped books phobia, anyone? But I am so glad I managed to muster the courage and actually read Business Casual. I must confess, I was surprised with how inclusive this book felt, we have loads of different characters (from what I assume are from previous books and let me tell you, Becks, I’m coming for your book!) and meet cutes. We have Nora that suffers from chronic migraines and how challenging it can be to deal with them, we have Charlie who seems to be a goofy happy guy that is actually just trying to please everyone and make everyone happy and then we have that dynamic between these two characters that brings the best out of each other.
The writing was very good, I quite enjoyed the easy going approach and seriousness when needed. I must say I do have a bit of a soft spot for Charlie and I thought it was quite refreshing seeing a MMC like him! And on that note, off I go to read the rest of the books from Inglewild because I fell for all of the side characters/couples and now need to read their own stories.
#adpr Many thanks to the publisher for the galley 🫶🏻! All opinions are my own

3.5 stars
Let me start by saying I absolutely love this series overall. It's sweet and fun and cozy and so romantic. The found family elements are perfection, and the couples are fantastic and feel like fated souls.
Now, this book was my least favorite one from the whole series. I don't know what exactly was missing, but something did.
I liked Nova. She was fun and sassy and hilarious. I like that she was driven and went for what she wanted. I love her family and how much they care for each other.
I love charlie. I identified with him. his feeling of not being worthy of not belonging anywhere. he was such a sweet character. he made me smile and swooned and cried so much. by the end, I think he became-closely- my fave (Beckett still is my number one). I love the way he stood up to his dad, and I feel he healed something in me, too. he's one of those characters you feel proud of and wish he was real.
Their romance felt more lust than love and its part because it felt a little bit rush. Also, because I felt like Charlie gave way too much, and Nova just "met his feelings" by the end. That nagged me a little. Still, I enjoyed their relationship, but I didn't love it like with the rest of the couples.
Overall, this was a cute and sweet book and a great addition to the series (although I'd love a final wrapped up of all the couples).
Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for the chance to read this book in exchange for an honest review.
