The author recounts stories of her four marriages, deaths, divorce and diagnosis of cancer. Throughout all of these events, her relationship with God has helped her to keep going.

There is no doubt she has faced trials and tribulations and whilst I enjoyed hearing about them, I didn’t like her writing style. She used lots of short sentences which stopped the story from flowing and made it sound like a list of events. I felt the stories skimmed the surface by focusing on the events rather than the emotions and I certainly didn’t feel as though I was there, in the moment, with the author. She also chose to write the book thematically as opposed to chronologically, which made it hard to follow at times.

This felt like reading a decent first draft but needed more work before publication.

I received a free copy of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This author has been through a lot. I love how her faith in God grew through the various challenges she found herself dealing with. I love the way she talked about her family, how she relied on God no matter what came her way and her resilience. Those in her life are blessed to call her family.

The thing I loved most about this book was Suzanne’s vulnerability and honesty about the choices she had made. But more than that was her amazing faith in a merciful God who really does work all things together for good.

Lovely book. Just what we need nowadays.
Thanks to author, publisher and Netgalley for the chance to read this book. While I got the book for free it had no bearing on the rating I gave it.
