The title says it all, a good holiday read.
Flo is invited to a family to find out her brothers best friend and a great family friend is there after nearly getting close to him a few years ago at Christmas only to leave abruptly only leaving a short note, so the atmosphere is very electric as she has never forgiven him.
The plot twists and romance is bound to happen.
Love the description of Greece and the characters.
Thanks to the publisher and to Netgalley for the ARC and I give my honest review

I really liked the sound of this book but Im afraid it didn’t quite live up to my expectations. From the off, Flo seems too self centred and Jamie had a lot to live up to, from his description, to his fabulous job sailing boats for the owners, his money and his love life. I liked the Greek village setting and the locals, although Adonis felt a bit too Jekyll and Hyde. I did finish the book but I felt there could have been quite a bit less of it. Sorry, just not the book for me.
Thanks to NetGalley, the author and the publishers for the opportunity to read and review this book.

Thanks to Netgally for providing me with this early arc. I enjoyed this book, I loved the setting of the book and how it played out in Greece, a great summer read.
As Flo’s and Jamie’s relationship develops, the tension grows, Flo decided that exposure therapy would help her get over Jamie but it doesn’t quite the opposite!
I loved the family dynamics in this book, they are both heartwarming and hilarious, each character adds something to the story. This has me rushing through pages and left we swept away, I always have a soft spot for summer romances.

I have never read anything by this author before and sadly this book is unlikely to change that. The title is very unimaginative and really not true. I felt that the issue of Flo having had a breakdown and her mental health was dealt with far too flippantly for such an important subject. Overall the family didn’t seem particularly supportive and Laurie in particular was awful.
Having said all of that I’m sure it will be a successful beach read and obviously setting the book in Greece was a plus!
Thanks to Netgalley and Random House for this ARC

Unfortunately, this wasn't for me. I loved the family dynamics and loved the healthy loving relationship portrayed by Flo's parents. However I found the writing style quite jarring, particularly the inner monologue style, and some of the descriptions stopped me from really getting hooked (e.g. "anticipation gurgles in my hips" was quite confusing and I'm still not quite sure what the imagery means). Overall it is a light, sweet beach read romance.

I enjoyed this nice summer read, would be great by the pool!
Thanks NetGalley for the pre release, I would read another book by this author!

I love this book and flew through it in a day! The next one to add to your summer tbr! Laura Jane Williams is now one of my auto-buy authors and I'm off to read her other work immediately!

Wow! This book is adorable, sexy, clever and right up my street!!
A little slow start and I had a few thoughts that I wanted to bang Flo and Jamie's head together, but that's the point right!? But once the paced picked up, I couldn't wait to go to bed every night to read it.
The family are great, I didn't like Laurie, but I guess that was part of the point. The descriptions and the settings, were beautiful and vivid. I was always hungry while reading!
A great novel. I loved it and whatever you write Laura, I will be back!

I just couldn't get into this book. I instantly disliked the main character as she's seems full of herself and the way she views other people.
The writing style is awful too.

Enemies to Lovers by Laura Jane Williams takes place over a two week family holiday in Greece. It has all the necessary tropes for a light hearted summer read - enemies to lovers; brother's best friend; forced proximity; only one bed; beautiful beaches etc.
Personally, I found the first part of the book fairly slow but it definitely got better as it went on. The things I enjoyed most about this book were the family dynamics and interactions - so funny - and also how sensitively the topic of Flo's mental breakdown was treated.
Thank you to NetGalley and Random House UK, Cornerstone for the review copy.

This romance makes for a perfect holiday read. There’s lots of sun, swimming, beaches, food and drink, and the kind of shenanigans you would expect from a family vacation.
Of course, for main character, Flo, her vacation is slightly tampered by the fact that her brothers best friend—and honorary family member—is here and is really rude to her even after humiliatingly rejecting her last Christmas. Therefore, Flo spends the first part of the book doing a whole Ross from Friends ‘I’m fine!’ impersonation. Particularly because since her mental breakdown, her family expect her to not be fine.
I really enjoyed the family dynamics. I also loved the exploration of life after a bad mental health episode. The actual episode itself happens off-page and is only given a brief overview however I loved the way the character finds words, moments and experiences to find strength in herself.
Unfortunately, I started to dislike Flo in the last half book. She was oblivious to so many things, particularly the way Jamie felt for her and the way she treated him in return. She came across as self-absorbed and toxic so in the end, I was actually hoping Jamie would find someone who treated him better and Flo could continue working on herself.
I also took issue with the way the relationship between Flo and Adonis played out to be honest. The entire situation felt like it was written for convenience rather than an issue to be addressed like the author did with the MCs mental health.
Overall, this is a fast-paced beachy romance which gave me a mixed bag of feelings, but I’m glad I read it.

Pros: the setting was lovely, nothing better than a summer read that’s set in Greece. This did give the summer vibes I was looking for, I loved the family dynamic.
Cons: I enjoyed this book however I feel like there was a lot of moments where I could predict what was going to happen, I wish it had more tension build up and for this to feel like an actual enemies to lovers as stated in the title.
Overall I think this would be a good summer/vacation read as it’s very easy to digest, the tropes that were included were chefs kiss.
Thank you to NetGalley for this eArc. This is my own and complete honest review

Thanks to NetGalley and Penguin RandomHouse for this ARC.
Enemies to Lovers is a simple and straightforward beach read that will be great for a holiday read.
I loved the Greek setting and a lot of the big scenes that showed the family dynamic, it was nice to read a family with grown up children that clearly liked spending time together.
Flo and Jamie weren't my favourite pairing, I didn't feel like they were particularly fleshed out or interesting and a lot of their interactions felt a bit immature and forced. I also don't think Flo felt like a 25 year old, she felt older than that because some of the references she made felt more dated. I didn't feel their chemistry was good enough to facilitate a relationship.
I liked that the book touched on mental health and loss and I love when romance novels do this and I think I would have been interested to know more about this and Flo's breakdown.
All in all a predictable and easy read that'll be perfect when you're lying on a sunlounger!

Thank you to net galley and the publishing house for this arc in exchange for my review!
Enemies to lovers is a funny nice quick easy read by Laura Jane Williams
It’s very much he fell first she fell harder in my opinion and there is forced proximity and in a way a slow burn and they shared a bedroom, and usually all of my favourite things in a book and I was hooked as soon I started reading I couldn’t put the book down I actually read it within a day.
Flo and family go on holiday to Greece, it’s great right? Until her brothers best friend turns up, something sparked between Flo and Jamie at Christmas but Jamie turned her down with a note and left, now Flo thinks Jamie hates her and vice versa, and problems arise when Jamie’s bedroom floods in the villa, in which he ends up sharing Flo’s room.
I do feel as if there could have been more between Flo and Jamie with the whole enemies to lovers thing, I wouldn’t have really said they’re enemies and I would have loved to see more action between them throughout the story.
I feel as if the story could have went a complete different way if Flo didn’t act as immature towards Jamie but that’s what have us the story! It would have been nice to see them be actual enemies to lovers rather than what they actually were which was more miscommunication and a scheming older brother other than that I did actually enjoy the book and was looking forward to see how it’d all unravel.
“That I am head-over-heels for you, Jamie Kramer, and it’s been that way for a very, very long time.”
“I’m head-over-heels for you, too.”

This is a great chick lit beach read, perfect for summer. The title says it all with Jamie and Florence being enemies after a “near miss” the previous Christmas which ended abruptly. They end up on a family holiday, Jamie being the brother’s best friend and both his parents having passed away. Florence was unaware Jamie would be on the holiday and at first tries to ignore him. When the underlying sexual chemistry gets stronger she has to re think her way of coping.
This book also deals with mental health to a degree so it isn’t all “fluffy”
Worth a read

I really wanted to love this book but I just couldn’t connect with the characters and the story fell flat for me. There were moments and scenes that were okay and they definitely helped me to finish the book but honestly it just wasn’t for me.

It was a mix of story and Information on mental health and breakdowns. Loved the family network with the holiday games and rituals. The honesty and openness of all characters portrayed was refreshing and well written.

Laura Jane Williams' books can be a bit hit or miss for me and sadly this was a miss.
First of all, calling the book enemies to lovers and then them not even really being true enemies, more like a mild dislike, put me on the wrong foot to begin with.
There were too many cringe or awkward moments for me and the characters felt a lot younger than they were meant to be.
I did like the setting and at times I did feel like I was there with the characters, which was nice.
The family and family holiday aspects also worked quite well.
This could still be a quick, easy beach read but I think there are better options out there both when it comes to the enemies to lovers trope and summer holiday reads.
Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Enemies to Lovers is a wonderful summer read that will make you recall those family holidays you had as a kid. The writing is fluent, the story uncomplicated yet not superficial. Mental health is a big part of the story, which I feel is getting increasingly important as so many people are struggling and we need to learn that it is OK not to feel like yourself for a while. However, there is not a lot going on so at times I got a bit destracted and I think adding a second POV would have prevented that.

Set in gorgeous Greece during a family holiday, this enemies to lovers romance builds tension well over the book and leaves you wanting to turn the pages. The family connections and characters and hugely relatable. This missed out on a 5 because I felt at time the pace changed - I felt it built tension well but then they got together and it all happened very quickly! A great summer read with all the feels.
