i flew through this book and found it super easy to follow! it is the perfect summer read and i loved that it was set on a family holiday.
i really liked the mental health representation and definitely saw myself in flo. i could see the plot twist coming but it was still good nonetheless!
i really liked all of the characters and their relationships with each other, i also really liked how flo eventually addressed her worries with her family.

This was quite good, even if a bit too long
Enemies to Lovers focuses on the enemies-to-lovers dynamic between Flo and her brother's best friend, Jamie. Flo has come out of what she calls a breakdown and she still feels like her family doesn't treat her as they used to, apart from Jamie over that one moment over Christmas. The animosity - or, even better, the tension - between Flo and Jamie is over that very moment, which seemed to indicate the start of something between the two, but didn't end up going anywhere.
This a very summery read and the main couple had a lot of chemistry, so that was quite good. I just wish the book had been a bit shorter; 400 pages seemed a bit much for this one.
Thank you very much to Penguin and NetGalley for the e-ARC!

*Enemies to Lovers* by Laura Jane Williams is a captivating and modern twist on the classic romance trope. L In this book, Laura delivers a witty and heartwarming story that perfectly balances humor and emotion.
The chemistry between the main characters is electric from the start. Their banter is sharp, often laugh-out-loud funny and it’s a joy to watch their relationship evolve from rivalry to something deeper. The author does an excellent job of building tension and keeping readers hooked as the characters navigate their complicated feelings.
One of the book's strengths is its exploration of themes like forgiveness, personal growth, and the complexity of relationships. The emotional depth adds richness to the story, making it more than just a typical romantic comedy. However, there are moments when the plot feels a bit predictable, and some secondary characters could have been fleshed out more.
Despite these minor drawbacks, *Enemies to Lovers* is a delightful read that delivers all the feels. Laura Jane Williams has once again proven that she’s a master of contemporary romance, offering a story that's both entertaining and emotionally resonant. If you love a good enemies-to-lovers tale with heart and humour, this book won't disappoint.

Enemies to Lovers by Laura Jane Williams is a lighthearted romance that offers an easy and enjoyable read, though it might not be one that leaves a lasting impression. The story follows Flo Greenberg, an over-achiever in desperate need of a relaxing Greek holiday, only to find herself sharing the experience with Jamie Kramer, her brother's best friend and the source of her irritation.
While the premise of being forced into close quarters with a so-called "enemy" promises tension and fiery exchanges, I found that the book didn't quite deliver on the enemies-to-lovers trope as much as I had hoped. Instead of feeling like true adversaries, Flo and Jamie seemed more like two people mildly annoyed with each other, which took away some of the excitement I typically expect from this genre.
One aspect that stood out positively was how the book handled mental health struggles. The story didn't shy away from addressing these issues, and I appreciated the way it was woven into the characters' experiences. I also particularly enjoyed the interactions with Flo's parents. Their presence in the story added depth, and their own struggles were well-portrayed, offering a refreshing perspective in the midst of the central romance.
However, I didn't feel a strong connection with the main characters, which made it difficult for me to become fully invested in their journey. The romantic tension felt a bit lukewarm, and I found myself more intrigued by the secondary characters than the central relationship.
Overall, if you're looking for a breezy read with a mix of romance and family dynamics, Enemies to Lovers might be worth picking up. Just don't expect it to fully deliver on the enemies-to-lovers trope in the way you might hope.
Thank you, NetGalley & the publisher, for sending me an early copy of Enemies to Lovers in exchange for my honest opinion.

I have a love hate relationship with LJW and i think that just happens because she is churning out titles at a crazy rate. This one in particular isn't my favourite of hers, the brothers best friend thing just didn't do much for me.

"Enemies to Lovers" by Laura Jane Williams is a captivating and fiery romance that plays with one of the most beloved tropes in the genre. Williams’ writing is sharp, witty, and full of emotional depth, drawing readers into the irresistible tension between two characters who begin as adversaries but slowly uncover a deep connection. The banter is electric, the chemistry palpable, and the journey from animosity to affection is both entertaining and heartfelt. Williams expertly balances humor with moments of genuine vulnerability, making the characters' transformation feel authentic and relatable. "Enemies to Lovers" is a delightful read for fans of romance who enjoy a story filled with sparks, slow-burn tension, and the satisfying journey of finding love in the most unexpected places. It's a novel that will keep you hooked until the very last page, leaving you with a smile on your face.

This book is a quick summer read with all the classic tropes, and I loved the cover. The title had me hooked! I’m a big fan of the enemies-to-lovers trope, but this one didn’t quite hit the mark for me. While there was tension, it wasn’t quite the right amount to keep me fully engaged.
The story follows Flo and Jamie, who have a fun but somewhat petty and immature vibe. While the book is lighthearted and entertaining, it didn’t evoke a strong connection to the characters for me. That was the main struggle—I felt like it just missed being a great read. Even in the most outrageous romances, there needs to be an underlying vulnerability and believability, and this book didn’t quite achieve that.
However, I did love the family dynamic. Who doesn't enjoy a cast of characters filled with magical banter wrapped in love? Readers often escape reality to find new homes and worlds to lose themselves in, full of emotion and magic, and the family aspect was definitely a highlight in this book for me.
I’m grateful to have been given the opportunity to read this ARC, and I’ll still be looking forward to reading more from this author. This wasn’t a bad book by any means—it just wasn’t a great one!

A light hearted, fun summer read. Love this authors books and can’t wait to read more. Enemies to lovers romance.
Overall a fun read that you can pick up for your vacation:

Flo and Jamie seem to have each other but that is not the truth. Forced to.spend a.holiday altogether will this be their chance to get together? A great holiday read.

Not my usual choice of books but once it going I couldn’t put it down and could wait to see how the inevitable would play out!
I stopped reading love stories a good few years ago now but every so often one comes along that catches my eye and I just have to read it!
Flo Greenberg is on holiday to Greece with her parents and overprotective big brothers and one of their best friends Jamie! Yes you can guess the rest but it’s how they get there that matters, there is the sexy Greek Adonis and a beautiful American Jasmine thrown into the mix too!
Although a bit of a slow burner once it going I was hooked and was rooting for the two of them to get it together! This is a great summer read that will have you wanting to get on the next flight to Greece!
Thank you to NetGalley, Laura Jane Williams and Random House for this ARC.

I absolutely adored this story and how it dealt with so many deeper issues such as mental health.
A year earlier at Christmas Flo and Jamie were getting together, there was a spark and they were falling in love until Jamie left a note under Flo's door telling her he had led her on and he was sorry....
Now a year later Flo is on a family holiday in greece and is looking forward to relaxing only to find that her family have invited Jamie and so she does her best to avoid him and enjoy her time.
There is a twist that i kind of guessed, but it was still a bit of a surprise
Flo was dealing with so much in her own head and i really felt sorry for her and i liked how it was dealt with as she grew and realised that everyone had their own issues and problems even when to the outside world it seems everything is perfect.
5 star read!

This was a lot of fun to listen to. Flo's family were brilliant and I enjoyed seeing the dynamics change between them. Laura Jane Williams explores mental health, the recovery process, and how it affects the individual and the family. Throw in a sexy MMC and you've got the makings of a brilliant book.
⭐⭐⭐⭐

Where to start... I don't know why it took me SOOO long to read this book... Why did I put off PERFECTION!!
I fell in love with the characters so much and I understood everything that was going through our FMC mind when she is talking about her breakdown, depression and anxiety as that's what I'm going through right now!
I loved that Jamie and Flo had so much in common and discovered it as time went on, it was told to you in past tense since they'd known each other so long.
ANYWAY - Onto the actual Plot of this book;
We are following Flo and her family on Vacation and Family Best Friend Jamie is there... unbeknownst <Spoiler> minus 2! little gits</spoiler> to the family Flo and Jamie had a Almost(?) at Christmas and then it was like he zapped out of existence and Flo has not had any contact with him until now!
My only complaint is the amount of times they talked about food! Like this Girl is trying to loose weight and it made me was delicious food!
I've said it before and I will say it again, People are Sleeping on Laura Jane Williams... She is a fantastic writer and quickly becoming an Auto Buy Author for Me.
That said, Thankyou so Much to Laura Jane Williams, Her Team and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read this book, My new Favourite by Laura!

I really enjoyed this story & the chemistry between Flo & Jamie was very believable. A good holiday read.

Enemies to Lovers
by Laura Jane Williams
"Enemies to Lovers" by Laura Jane Williams is a lighthearted and fun rom-com set on the stunning Greek Island of Preveza. The story follows Flo Greenberg, who is hoping for a relaxing holiday with her family, only to find that her brother's best friend, Jamie, is joining them. Flo and Jamie have some unresolved tension from the past, and their forced proximity makes for some hilarious and awkward moments.
I loved the family dynamic, the beautiful setting, and the way the author touched on deeper topics like mental health and anxiety, adding depth to the story. While the plot is predictable, it feels like a warm hug, perfect for a beach read. Though Flo's character can be a bit frustrating at times, the chemistry between her and Jamie is enjoyable. Overall, this is a sweet, easy-to-read romance that fans of the enemies-to-lovers trope will appreciate.
Very grateful to the publisher for my copy, opinions are my own

Families eh? Can't beat them, can't escape them, especially on holiday. And as for family friends who bring their own baggage to the trip - not exactly the perfect recipe for a relaxing break. However they do make the perfect recipe for a relaxing holiday read it turns out. Well worth stretching out with on a poolside sun lounger, or curling up with in the windy and cold UK to make you wish you were poolside in Greece instead - a lovely warm and sunny escapist read.

I love a good rom-com and Enemies-to-Lover style books. When these books are also combined with a perfect picture-postcard setting like this book was, I find that they can have the perfect dose of escapism needed to forget the realities of the daily grind. This book was no exception!
Set on the beautiful Greek Island of Preveza, the Greenberg family have arrived for their annual summer holiday. Despite the siblings in the family all being adults and having long flown the nest, they still holiday together every year with their parents.
Flo (the FMC), is trying to build her life back together after suffering from a mental breakdown two years prior. What she didn't bargain for, was that her big brother's best friend Jamie (the very sexy, MMC), would also be joining them for this holiday. There is some unfinished history and animosity between Flo and Jamie, particularly since Christmas when they last saw each other, so this reunion was not particularly well received by Flo. She is angry, anxious and it leaves things feeling very awkward between them. Flo had been avoiding Jamie since last Christmas, so how will she cope with being stuck living with him for two weeks under the Greek sun?
I loved the dynamic family relationship and characters in this book. The Greenberg parents were obviously caring people and the whole family had a lot of love for each other, despite the extremely strong sibling rivalry between Flo and her brothers. Despite being laugh-out-loud in parts, there was a continuing undercurrent discussing mental health, anxiety and grief. This was respectfully handled by the author and showed that even the strongest people you know, aren't always as strong as they may seem at face value.
There was a twist towards the end of the book, which I had correctly predicted right from the start. This didn't leave me feeling disappointed however. Like most rom-com's, it is predictable, but wraps you up like a warm hug. There was quite a traumatic scene around the middle of the book, with an unsavoury, third-party character, which may be triggering for some. I did feel like this event was simply forgotten about and given the severity of the situation, I felt that maybe more should have been made of this, after the event. All in all though, I thought this book was the perfect happily-ever-after, easy beach read and I devoured it in one afternoon.
This was the first novel that I have read by Laura Jane Williams and it will not be my last! Thank you to the author, Netgalley and the publishers for the advance reader copy.

This was a lot of fun if you’re a fan of the enemies to lovers trope. It follows Flo who’s on a Greek holiday with her family. Her brother’s friend Jamie tags along - and it turns out they’ve got some history. The last thing Flo wants is to be alone with this man but over the course of the trip, they’re put into situations together where they can start to mend bridges. And of course, feeling don’t just go away.
This was fairly run of the mill but still a ton of fun. It reminded me of something like The Proposal actually. My main gripe is that I found Flo pretty irritating so struggled to root for her. Many of her problems are down to her own attitude. Nevertheless I think a lot of people will find enjoyment in watching these two thaw towards each other.

Firstly I would like to thank Laura Jane Williams , Random House UK, Cornerstone | Penguin and NetGalley for providing me with an advanced copy of this new novel to read and provide an unbiased review.
This is the first book by Laura Jane Williams I have read although I have heard so many positive things about her previous works on social media.
The story follows the main character Flo who has embarked on a family holiday to Greece. Having all flown the nest - the holiday is the perfect time to catch up with parents , siblings and in-laws in a picture perfect setting away from everyday life. Flo had no idea that her brother's best friend Jamie would also be accompanying them until he turns up at the beach . Having avoided him for the last year due to an awkward situation the previous Christmas , Flo must pull herself together and endure his company for the sake of her family and her sanity.
Even though the book is titled' enemies to lovers' Flo and Jamie are not enemies and its obvious to the reader that there is an undeniable attraction from start to finish. It is a slow burn captivating novel where the reader knows from the offset what the conclusion will be, but enjoys the journey nonetheless. I absolutely adored the Greek setting and the banter between the siblings . When all jokes are aside it was obvious just how much family solidarity there was. I loved the family dynamic and how all the adult children still love to spend time with their parents and revel in one another's company.
The author has a great contemporary style that makes every character within the pages so relatable providing a great Summer beach read
full of humour and lots of awkwardness and mutual misunderstandings . It is a light-hearted read and a distraction from everyday life and I enjoyed every minute of it from beginning to end. Highly recommended
#EnemiestoLovers #NetGalley

Thanks to Net Galley for letting me read this arc 💛 So… this book was pretty good! I loved Jamie (what a king) and the British writing style- the British slang and phrases!! Some of the characters weren’t completely likeable (I thought Flo was nice but she seemed quite self absorbed at some points). The twist with the Christmas note was so random?? But it was a really enjoyable read and good summer book (especially if you are going on a Greek holiday 🇬🇷😉).
The formatting wasn’t great but assume this has been fixed with publishing.
