There are many places that one will not be able to travel in a lifetime, whether due to not having enough time to travel or because the places are unheard of to the average traveler. Claudia Martin writes and shows pictures of many of those places in her book Hidden Places. In this book, Martin shares many beautiful pictures of architecture whether natural or manmade, nature's landscapes, flowers and sunsets, and waterfalls and sunrises in each region of the world. The hidden places of the world have many flora and fauna that pictures bring to the average person who will not be able to travel. Hidden Places is a classic coffee table book to show off to family, to use as a book to daydream about traveling, and to build a travel bucket list. Hidden Places should inspire one to find the next place to travel and find something very few people get to see. The pictures in Hidden Places can also inspire one's travel photography goals. I give this book 5 out of 5 stars.

Absolutely stunning places that are 1000000% now on my "must go there" list, which is insanely long already, but the world is wide. Absolutely incredible places that are definitely "hidden places", at least for now.

Thank you NetGalley for my E-ARC.

Picking up a book by Claudia Martin, you are guaranteed pages of beautiful photographs. Hidden Places is filled with photos of hidden (though some well-known) places. One of them is a library filled with rare books in Canada (insert to ohhh ahhhs here) and stunning landscapes worldwide.

Thank you, NetGalley and Amber Books, for an advanced copy.

This is a wildly random and idiosyncratic collection of sourced photos, but that doesn't detract at all from the book's appeal to dreamy escapists and armchair adventurers. The range is global, and the theme is pretty vague and general, but the wow! factor makes the whole project fun. The text is minimal, but the photo captions will give you enough to get your interest engaged and your imagination humming. I like what Amber Books does with projects like these, and this one is a fine addition to their shelf. (Please note, I'm just a guy who likes travel and picture books. I received a free advance ecopy of this book without a review requirement, or any influence regarding review content should I choose to post a review. Apart from that I have no connection at all to either the author or the publisher of this book.)

Claudia Martin is steadily becoming one of my favourite photographers. Having previously read 'Spain' I was mesmerised by Martins ability to capture the soul of a place. Whether majesty and grandeur or capturing a stunning natural beauty Martin photographs the true essence of their location.

A book by Claudia Martin is a collectors item for any bookshelf
