This is a heart warming story of community support interwoven with a romance. The characters are well drawn and likeable.
Amazing to catch up with the old characters from the board game cafe and the new characters the storyline is based around, wonderfully written and I didn’t want to put the book down until I had finished it, can’t wait to read more from the little cafe and it’s wonderful villagers
Another good story in this series. This time we follow sewer Taylor and son Max as well as trainspotter member Harry. Overall a nice story. I did find the odd and sudden addition of a totally off topic and major right near the end unneeded and not well handled. But it wasn't enough to ruin the story. It should have either been better explored or not included at all.
I’m a big fan of Jennifer Page. She’s an auto buy author for me. So I was pleased to be offered the chance to read this newest release via netgalley. Basically, it was another lovely heartwarming story - just as we’ve come to expect from this author.
This book was slightly different from the first two books in the series, in that the focus is a lot more on the main character’s sewing business and upcycling clothes project. There are still plenty of mentions of board games and the cafe features plenty, but the focus is more on sewing and trains (the main characters’ little boy and the love interest are both obsessed with trains).
I think it’s a good thing that the author is branching out slightly from board games so the series keeps expanding into a whole world in that lovely sounding little Yorkshire town. It’s still a very cosy read and all the characters from previous books pop up plenty - so in a way it feels like you’re spending time with old friends whilst reading this. I really, really enjoyed it. It was a hug in book form!
This could be read as a stand alone book, but for full enjoyment of the delightful world Jennifer Page has created, I suggest you read these books in publication author.

I was delighted to receive this as I enjoyed the first book so much. I have raced through the story in only a few hours. It was great to meet the new characters and even better to catch up on the previous ones. So enjoyable and with a great ending that only the hard hearted wouldn’t like. Fabulous.
A welcome return to the board game cafe. A real feel good book with a great cast of characters and a lovely story. Highly recommended.
