Saffy receives a text from best friend, Leona, asking for help. But as quickly as the text is sent it is then suddenly deleted. Leona insists all is fine and that there was no message but Saffy feels something is not right and later gets a knock on the door. Leona and her family are missing. Will they be found?

I found the synopsis of this one very intriguing and felt that I would be in for a twisty ride which turned out to be correct! I am ashamed to admit this is my first K.L Slater novel but it definitely will not be my last. I found the writing style engaging and enjoyed trying to work out what was going on, my mind kept changing. I found this was easily readable with an interesting storyline. The characters were well written but not wholly likeable. I found myself getting very frustrated at Saffy sometimes, wanting to shake some sense into her! Overall maybe slightly unbelievable but an entertaining, twisty thriller and I’ll definitely be looking at this author’s other books.
