This book did not feel super “thriller-y” like it was advertised. It had some good thriller parts but most of the time it was following the MC while she tried to figure out who was leaving folded notes at her door. Did not keep my attention through and through and I had to take multiple breaks to get through a couple of chapters.

I appreciate the opportunity from the publisher, author and netgalley for the arc and to be able to give this review!

This was so creepy! It made me want to sleep with the lights on. I stayed up way too late reading because I couldn’t put it down. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this ARC!

I received this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I dont understand why Kim was so unravelled and made so much irrational illogical decisions, when she's written to be a mature, intelligent college professeor/ councilor. The story was pretty fast paced, with her personal and professional lives intertwining ultimately.

At last!!! A psychological thriller with a realistic and believable plot rather than the usual over-used yawn-a-minute scenarios.
The backdrop of a slightly down-at-heel English East Coast resort is drawn with evocative precision. Kim Morgan, the local Councillor up in arms against the proposed building of a golf course on marshland, and the old lady heading the peaceful protests against the hot shot property developer are characters we see in local newspapers again and again.
The tension is put in place by the men circling around Kim. Which one of them is determined to destroy her career and perhaps worse? The author keeps a tight lease on the suspense until the final shocking twist.

Deliciously creepy with a steady build up of tension. We were seen by Mark West had me looking over my shoulder and gave me chills. I’ve already recommended to friends and coworkers. Thanks NetGalley and publishers.

Kim Morgan is a college lecturer and local councillor in the slightly run-down English coastal town of Seagrave. She is involved in protesting a proposed development that will build a golf course on marshland, thus impacting the local environment. A fight breaks out at a public meeting about the plans, and Kim is rescued by a handsome guy whom she has a romantic dalliance with. But she then discovers that the young man is an adult student at her college. If anyone finds out, it could ruin her career! Then the young man ends up dead! This book was definitely worth reading! It had suspense, intrigue, action, murder, mystery, a fantastic who done it that I wasn't too sure of and some crazy twists and turns! The storyline was very interesting and kept me glued to my kindle! I highly recommend reading this book as it was well worth reading! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!
