Thank you Netgalley for this arc. All thoughts are my own.
This was my first Tarah DeWitt novel, and it will not be the last.
A friend suggested I read her book Funny Feelings, and when I saw this up I took my shot. I was not disappointed.
Sage loves her small town. She loves her home, her animals, her little farm and she's just content. Having lost both parents at a young age, along with her brothers, her friends and neighbors are just like family.
After losing his job and his passion for his craft, Chef Fisher takes a job in the small town of Spunes to help his old boss out and take some time away from New York. Driving across the country with his niece, Indy, they rock up in Spunes, both skeptical of what this small town can offer them.
Fisher and Sage fall into a fake dating situation, and Fisher begins to open up to the friendship and advice she offers. Their attraction grows and blossoms into a beautifully intimate connection. But Fisher is due to leave at the end of the summer. They decide to enjoy it for what it is and however long they have, but find out in the end how hard it is to say goodbye.
This story had me on a rollercoaster of feels, I laughed. I cried. I also enjoyed the spice and the dual POV. It all added to their journeys, as well as their relationship together.
I 100% recommend reading this, and I'm going to read everything I can get my hands on.

I received this arc in exchange for an honest review. 🤍
i absolutely loved this book! it was a perfect small town romance with witty side characters and a charming plot. i loved the dynamics between all of the characters and felt as though the book flowed really nicely. i cried so many times throughout this book and i feel like that encapsulates how easy it was to connect to the various characters. the development of the relationship between sage and fisher was so smooth, i really enjoyed it!
however, if we don’t get a book about ellis and wren i will be very upset !!

*4 stars*
I have been in a bit of a slump recently and a small town romance usually does the trick and this one did not dissapoint. It started off a bit slow for me, but by the second half I was invested.
If you are feeling like a summer romance, this is one to put on your TBR. Sage & Fisher's romance was sweet and spicy and the last 10% had my heart breaking for them, but it had a HEA in the end!
And although this is a sweet summer romance, it deals with some heavy topics such as grief and the loss of a loved one so check your TWs.
Pick this up if you like:
* Small town romance
* Slow burn
* Fake dating
* Single dad vibes (he is the gaurdian of his niece)
* you love weird pets (like geese and goats haha)
Big thank you to Netgalley and Little Brown Book Group UK for sending me an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Beyond adorable, a cute and cozy and funny and romantic summer read. No miscommunication trope to be found here either. Some of the “Sage advice” was also remarkably apt - as these things often are.

This was so wholesome and cute and exactly everything you’d expect from a small town romance. I really loved the backdrop and setting of this book and all the animals and town characters were adorable. Personally I had some issues with the main characters though in the sense that I just didn’t vibe with either of them. I found them too snappy with one another and they just rubbed me up the wrong way. It’s absolutely a me problem, we are often told we can’t like everyone and unfortunately these two weren’t my type of people and that’s ok! I still enjoyed the story and would def recommend for a quick, sweet and comfortable read

When Fisher Lange, a hotshot chef from New York City loses his Michelin star along with his love for cooking and his spot at the restaurant. He's sent to the coastal town of Sprunes, Oregon to help open up a new restaurant. While going through so many changes he's now also in charge of his niece after his sister passed away.
This is where he meets his neighbour animal loving Sage Byrd. Who's after a way to show the town she's doing ok after her 5 year relationship with the town's golden boy ended, not only that but he's now engaged to a highschool friend.
When mutually helping each other turns into more......

This is the first book I've read from this author and now I want to go and read her backlog. I loved this book, it made me smile, laugh and cry. This book is exactly what I needed to read on a rubbish day, it helped me get my feelings out and made me feel so much better. A hug in a book. I really liked how Fisher and Indy slotted right into everyone's lives like they were meant to be there.
I feel Sage would be exactly me if I had the land that she does. I would be saving all the animals, having the brightest garden and a big vegetable patch. She's living my dream.
I loved the instant attraction between the pair, I feel sometimes we need this in books more. We need to live the ideal life's through our books.

A cute, fun romance which follows Sage and Fisher in this friends to lovers slow burn romance.
In this opposites attract I loved the sparks between the two and the pull towards each other which gives all the vibes.
I loved their banter, they communicated with each other really well and I enjoyed the more difficult themes discussed in this book, grief, family relationships, finding their way in life and I always love the inclusion of children and animals.
Thanks to @netgalley and @littlebrownbookgroup_uk for an e-arc in return for an honest review.

This is my first book by Tarah Dewitt and now I just want to devour every book she's ever written. I absolutely adored Savor It! It had just the right mix of romantic tension, wholesomeness and spice. It also deals so well with themes of grief and finding yourself. This story is funny and heartfelt at the same time and it's the perfect balance.
The romance was literally perfect and I loved that it was dual POV! Fisher and Sage are so real with each other and communicate so well so there's this raw, intimate feeling to their relationship and they're just such a sweet couple. The authors instagram bio says she writes perfectly imperfect love stories and that is the perfect description. The pacing of the romance was done really well, I loved that we see them sort of adopt each other and open up to each other and grow into a lovely friendship which then leads into the sweetest romance.
As well as great main characters there is also a whole cast of really loveable characters! I really loved the sort of surrogate dad-uncle that Fisher was for Ivy and seeing their relationship grow, if there's one thing that man does it's try and I love him for that. I loved all of the animals, Gary the goose was especially hilarious and his reunion with Ivy was adorable. I really enjoyed the glimpses we got of Wren and Sages brothers, especially the hot firefighter brothers, and I hope they all get their own books! I would absolutely love if this turned into a series.
The spice was SO good! It didn't feel rushed into, consent was a focus and it showed that consent can be sexy and it was just great! Hot and sweet at the same time, the emotional connection was still a focal point which I loved because that can get lost in spicy scenes sometimes. The characters are reluctant to say I love you because of their situation but it felt infused in every touch.
This book is mostly sweet fluff with some spice and is very character focused, not much actually happens in terms of story but it's just so nice and still entertaining. The title is actually so perfect for this book, the story focuses a lot on the characters savoring being in the moment but you also want to savor the book itself as you read, I highly recommend it!
Savor It has major Gilmore Girls vibes and if you liked The Pumpkin Spice Cafe or the characters and romance of The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches (minus the magic), then this one is for you💛🪿

I just finished Kingdom of Ash and was in an emotional hangover from it! And needed something cute and simply. Enter Savour It by Tarah DeWitt, This book is sweeter than a bakery in a Hallmark movie!
The characters? Utterly delightful. The romance? Heart-melting. The animals? Adorable. And the small-town vibes? Think Stars Hollow but with extra charm. My only gripe is that I didn't get enough time with the side characters!
I’m crossing my fingers and toes that this little gem turns into a series. I need Wren and Ellis to have their second chance romance!

Id like to thank @authortarahdewitt , @netgalley and @littlebrownbookgroup_uk for the early ARC edition of this book.
What a lighthearted, witty and wholesome book this was. From the first chapter you are met with funny puns and laughable moments. I absolutely loved it 🥰 admittedly I did shed a tear towards the end..
"It's been a privilege to fall in love with you, Sage"😢
The story flows well and is easy to read, the plot is adorable and so small town (which is perfect) and the characters are wildly lovable!!
With the perfect mix of plot, character development and spice, this book is truly the #2024summerbook!
Fisher and Sage couldn’t be more different, Sage is a small town girl with small dreams and she is perfectly content with her little farm, her cute as buttons rescue animals and her garden (who wouldn’t be, it sounds like pure heaven). Fisher is a big city boy, a fancy Michelin star chef, who has made it to the top and realized he actually doesn’t like the view all that much, with a teen age niece that he has no idea how to parent, his life is anything but peaceful!!
This small town was meant to be a reset, a chance to prove his worth again, but instead it becomes the small town that restores his faith in small towns, a small town that doesn’t let him down like the one he ran away from all those years ago.
“It is the most ridiculous, ludicrous, small-town, corny scene. And it's one of the great honors of my life to be a part of it.”
Brought together by the shared heart-ship of losing loved ones, Sage teaches both Fisher and Indy to live with grief in the most positive and wholesome ways.
“Will I ever be able to not make everything about summer and Sage again?”
I just loved this book so much, it was such a breath of fresh summer air.

As a huge Tarah DeWitt fan I was so lucky to receive an arc of this book - and I think it’s definitely up there with Funny Feelings as a favourite!

I absolutely love Tarah’s stories! 🩷 And Savor It is no exception - this is a beautiful slow burn between two people who are so different, yet fit so perfectly together 🫶🏼
Fisher holds a lot of prejudices against small towns (as does his teenage niece, Indy), but I loved seeing Spunes win them over 🥹 The meddlesome town meetings had me laughing out loud, and annual competition that culminates in a canoe race was perfect 🛶🫶🏼
Sage was such a wonderful sunshine character - she’s the perfect amount of quirky and loveable, with her menagerie of farmyard animals (special mention to Gary the goose 🪿). Also I love a pun and hers were just perfect 🤌🏼😂
I especially loved the ending of this book (and it definitely pushed it up to 4.5★ read for me!) The end of summer and Fisher’s return to New York felt so inevitable, yet so painful 😭 I shed several tears, and the beautiful ending made me so happy 🥲
“𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗶𝗻 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘆𝗼𝘂, 𝗦𝗮𝗴𝗲” 🥲

4.75!
I've read all of Tarah DeWitt's published books and this was by far my favourite. Sage and Fisher's relationship was so sweet and moving in the way they helped each other move on.
"it's been a privlidge to fall in love with you, sage"

This was so sweet! It was my first time reading this author and I enjoyed her style! I really liked the story line and the main characters, how Sage and Fisher dealt with their grief on their own but also learned to do it together, and how they fell in love in such a natural way. I really liked the setting; this book made me want to get a farm in a small town and fill it with all kinds of animals! I have fallen in love with Spunes and I can't wait to read more about the Byrd family and their friends! Thank you so much to the author, the publisher, and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book a bit early!

I always love Tarah's writing with Root Bound being my favourite but this book might rival it!
The book follows Sage and Fisher who engage in a friends with benefits situation which results in rumours being spread after they are seen kissing (small town problems).
There are so many relatable things set up within this book which just makes it feel so cute.
My favourite part is probably how good the communication was between our two mqin characters as poor communication just really grates on me.
Thank you to NetGalley for allowing me to read and ARC

Savour It was a great read, including loads of things I enjoy in a contemporary romance. It is / has:
🛶 F/M small town romance
🍴Neighbours
🛶 It can only be temporary - he’s only there for summer
🍴Representations of grief and burnout
Savour It is a wonderfully tender romance that I itched to get back to when I wasn’t reading it. My reasons why I loved it below ⬇️
•Sage and Fisher. I loved them both, so watching their relationship develop over the book made me so happy.
-Fisher is vulnerable, experiencing burn-out and grief, and actively working on himself. He was swoony, especially how he falls for Sage.
-I want to befriend Sage. Kind and determined, she made me smile (and so did her animals).
-However, it was the moments they were together that had me excited to read more. How the tension builds and they learn to communicate.
•I connect to romance books that explore grief. Savour It is a book that does this, via Fisher and Indy, but also Sage; all contribute to a representation on the impact and legacy grief can have. It’s part of why I felt this was such a tender, compassionate book.
•This is small town done excellently. I could envision Spunes, charming and a little quirky.
•It’s a book that left me wanting more in the best way, I’m desperate for there to be a book on Wren and Ellis; and actually have more of the stories of all of Sage’s brothers.
•Has one of the best dedications in a book, ever. (I refuse to take challenges on this).
I will be adding this as a paperback to my shelf very soon (there is the perfect place right next to Rootbound).

This was so adorable. Honestly it wasn’t a favourite but I still enjoyed it nevertheless. This book does deal with grief so trigger warning. The beginning was a little slow but after the 30% mark it picked up.

‘What if I prefer to savour things. Want it good and slow and drawn out?’ - Fisher
‘Even if it can’t really go somewhere in the end. Once you accept the impermanence of it, you give yourself permission to enjoy it now.’ - Sage
Tropes: small town romance, friends with benefits, single guardian, grumpy/ sunshine, dual POV, fake dating, slow burn, nickname
When disgraced chef Fisher is sent to a small town to advise on a new restaurant, he meets Sage.. his neighbour & total opposite. He’s a Michelin-Star chef & she runs a farm of re-homed livestock! But they say opposites attract…
I had so much fun reading this book! The writing style was fun & endearing! The tone was overall lighthearted with some great banter. There is a third act conflict but it’s very minimal & somewhat rushed over.
I loved the two main characters, relating to different quirks of their personalities. I also really enjoyed the guardian relationship development between Fisher & Indy. And I think it would be unfair not to mention Indy & Gary’s friendship 🪿 (one of my favourite parts)!
Overall I had a great time reading this book. It’s a feel good small town romance through & through!
It does have some spicy scenes/ moments, but it doesn’t distract from the plot.
Honestly, my only criticism is that I think it could have been a bit longer to save on rushing some areas of the book.
Thank you to Tarah DeWitt & NetGalley for the ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.

“She’s the woman who has taught me to let go of so much so that I can wish and dream for more. I plan to savor every bit of it.”
This book might be my favourite book Tarah Dewitt has written!!!
Set in the coastal town of Spunes, in Oregon, this story centers around Sage, a local woman reeling from a recent breakup, and Fisher, an incomer chef in town seeking a fresh start. They decide to team up for the town's summer competition and their partnership ends up turning into something more —a heartwarming and steamy romance, capturing the essence of summer love.
The characters in this novel are well-developed and very relatable— I loved Sage’s character and her advices so much and Fisher’s vulnerability. Their bond makes the storyline engaging with their heartfelt moments.
Read if you like:
🌻 small town.
🌻 forced proximity.

Tropes to expect:
- Small Town
- Single Guardian
- Friends with Benefits
- Forced Proximity
-'On a time limit'
- Slow Burn
As someone who fell in love with Tarah very quickly through 'Funny Feelings', I was ecstatic when I landed to opportunity to ARC read Savor It. The thing is with Tarah, she doesn't write Romance like most authors, and that's what makes her so special to me.
Savor It focused on the characters and their bond moreso than a main plotline, and although that did have a somewhat negative effect on my overall review, I think it worked out well in the end.
Fisher and Sage are totally adorable. Sage's utter joy in life is the perfect anectode for Fisher's incessant grumpy. I loved how they helped each other through what they needed to fight; Fisher's grief and Sage's need for someone who truly noticed her. These two were written well, and they were written real. Nothing felt contrived into fiction and it was so easy to get lost in their story.
The communication these two had was great and I was obsessed with two characters who actually spoke to each other and worked out their feelings and issues like adults; I am fed up of reading characters in my age range who act like total babies.
A wonderful read written by an author who is very much cemented in place on my auto-buy list.
Thanks to Netgalley and Little, Brown Book Group UK for the ARC!

Thank you to NetGalley for this ebook ARC.
This was my first Tarah Dewitt book and I have heard so many amazing things about her writing that I was very excited.
I will start off with my favourite parts which were the dialogue between Sage and Fisher. I loved the way their friendship grew and how natural it felt - even when they were being awkward with and around each other. However, that brings me to my biggest issue with the book is that they read like amazing friends and not like there was something more between them. Especially in the middle and towards the end I found myself a little bored and just waiting for other characters to come onto the page because I found their possible stories more interesting.
I wish we dived more into Fisher's relationship with Indy and to see them spend a little more time together building the bond they both desperately crave. The end of the book seriously picked up, I would say the last 5-10% I really felt the emotion behind Tarah's writing and I saw a glimpse of why other readers love her work so much.
Overall, it was a beautiful small town romance that made me smile and I think a lot of people are going to love this story. I am going to give some of Tarah's other books a shot, I have Funny Feelings waiting on my kindle.
