A very curious concept and interesting characters. The idea of an animal sanctuary and putting the unique characters on a silly adventure is amazing. What appealed to me most though, was the humorous writing style.

This is one of the most genuinely funny stories I have read in a long time. It features an animal-sanctuary owning family who are Bananas by name and bananas by nature! Billy Banana (the father) goes missing while searching for the Poison Fart Frog and returns home with so much more. You'll have to read the book to find out more. It really is well worth the read and is suitable for children and adults. My favourite character is Rubella the goth cousin. She was brilliant. I am hoping that there are more books in this series. I, for one, would be interested in reading more.
