🏢 Quick Take:
Divorce Towers is a witty, fast-paced contemporary rom‐com set in a glamorous Beverly Hills condo reserved for the newly divorced. At its center is Addison Torres, a savvy former matchmaker turned concierge, navigating a high-stakes environment of wealthy, emotionally complex residents—think a love triangle, a stolen Fabergé egg, and multiple POVs.

👍 What Works:

Charming setting & humor: The Beverly Hills backdrop, snappy dialogue, and quirky characters provide an entertaining, escapist vibe perfect for light reads.
Engaging ensemble cast: Residents range from a talent agent and tech guru to a dominatrix and lively retirees, each bringing sass, scandal, and fun twists to the story .

👎 What Misses the Mark:

Overcrowded POVs: Some readers found switching perspectives—especially Carly’s and Uncle Arnie’s—untethered the plot and slowed pacing.
Shallow romantic drama: Critics noted the heavy focus on sexual escapades and love triangles lacks deeper character development or emotional stakes.

🎯 Verdict:
A breezy, cheeky romp for fans of ensemble rom-coms who don’t mind a messy mix of subplot and romance. If you crave sharp wit and modern dating drama in a glamorous setting, this is a guilty-pleasure read—though be warned, it’s more fluff than depth.

Deliciously Gossipy ..
A luxurious Beverly Hills condo where money and drama reign supreme - it’s not nicknamed ‘Divorce Towers’ for no reason - is calling Addison Torres. An unexpected concierge job has opened up and she takes it. What has she got to lose? She really has no idea. An original drama, unexpected and surprising and entertaining with a cast of well drawn and credible, eclectic and eccentric characters populating a frothy plot. Deliciously gossipy.

I didn’t love this book. It had too many characters and didn’t hold my interest. Thanks for letting me check it out!

Thank you NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I did enjoy parts of this story but nothing really stood out to me. There were parts of the story that didn’t feel super cohesive to me. I do think I would try another book by this author because there were parts I really enjoyed.

Divorce Towers by Ellen Meister has an intriguing premise, but unfortunately, it fell flat for me. While the idea of exploring relationships and personal growth within a complex, multi-character setting was appealing, the execution didn’t quite hit the mark. The book introduces too many characters and storylines, making it difficult to stay engaged and keep track of the narrative.

The pacing is another issue that stood out to me. At times, the story moves at a slow crawl, leaving me wondering when it would pick up. Additionally, the writing often feels overly clever for its own good, which can be frustrating rather than rewarding. There were moments when I found myself skipping entire paragraphs, especially toward the end, just to move the story along.

The choice to give each character their own point of view, which is a common strategy in books with a large cast, didn’t quite work here. Instead of adding depth, it made the narrative feel more fragmented, and the multiple perspectives detracted from the emotional connection I was hoping to feel.

While the premise held promise, Divorce Towers ultimately left me unsatisfied. It's an ambitious book, but it doesn't quite manage to live up to its potential.

3 ⭐!

As always, thank you NetGalley for letting me read this book as an arc!

I actually really liked this book! The storyline was great, the characters were phenomenal, and the plot twists were incredible! I would definitely recommend this book if you want to read it! x

Addison Torres feels like she's just ruined her life. She had a fabulous matchmaking career, a fiance and a life in New York until she got a bit too close to a client and lost everything. When her uncle Arnie invites her to concierge at the luxury Beekman Towers in Beverly Hills she gratefully accepts the position. Being surrounded by Beverly Hills most eligible bachelors means keeping her vow of celibacy is more difficult than she imagined and keeping her heart safe proves difficult too.

I went into this blind and I really should've checked to see what it was really about. This was all too insta love for me I need more before I truly believe two characters are meant for each other and I didn't get the connections in this one. I'm sure so many people will love this though.

This fell really flat for me and i actually struggled to get through it. The premise sounded exciting and fun but it ended up being quite strange and there wasn't actually that much plot. I'm not sure what vibe the author was going for but I don't think I liked it.

Had potential but didn’t match it. A lot going on, far too typical and quite frustrating to read.

Too many characters absolutely taking away from the story - needed more attention and development.

A shame really

Really enjoyed this book and the dynamic of people and relashionships past and present overlapped with each one having their own story to share. Really makes you think about the lives others live. Great read

This was a fun light read with some very snarky dialog that I really enjoyed. Addison has been fired from her match making job in NYC and has landed as a concierge at her uncles condominium complex in Beverly Hills. It has been nicknamed Divorce Towers as this is where wealthy newly divorced singles congregate. She likes the job but she also likes the local scenery, particularly the handsome and alluring Dante who woos her relentlessly. But is Dante for real or is he just a player like all the other men she's dated and left in the past. As Addison dabbles yet again in match making for the locals she also comes to the realization that she has personal issues that need to be addressed before she can find true love. If you like snappy dialog, a little mystery spiced up with a bit of romance you are sure to enjoy this book. 4 stars. Many thanks to Net Galley and the publisher for a chance to read an ARC version of this book. All opinions are my own.

I found this book quite enjoyable. I enjoyed how the different characters had overlap and the story was told through different perspectives. There was overlap between characters ended in a culminating event. It wasn't a book that required much deep thinking, but stayed more surface level and explored the different relationships that people have, how their past affects them, and how they are defined by those relationships.

Really bad female MC, no self confidence, dumb as firt, not someone to route for. She annoyed me do much that i couldn't really enjoy the story. It jumped around a lot and didn't flow well.

This had me hooked from the get go! There are several storylines, but it's easy to keep track of what's going on. It was light and fun and what I needed to get out of a bit of a reading slump. It had romance, some mystery and kepts me engaged.

2⭐️/5

This is definitely more of a fiction book with a subplot of romance and mystery. I'm usually someone who prefers a romance heavy book but in this one I didn't care about it. The characters were wholly unlikeable and I didn't connect or care about any of them.
The only thing that I finished the book for was the mystery element and how the POVs all connected but even then it was underwhelming. I feel that the romances were rushed and that especially Carly's wasn't written how I would've liked. I'm glad she got a happy ending but it felt insta-lovey. Also Addison annoyed me because I don't cheating in books and that the love triangle with Zach and Dante was unnecessary. Arnie was okay as a character but his love story wasn't my favourite.

On a positive note, I do think that it was written well and I could picture the settings as I read which is something I like. The friendships that blossomed were enjoyable and I liked those moments.

Overall, I don't think I'd reread but I will look at the author's other books as I did enjoy their writing style.

This book was okay, but it didn't really stand out in a memorable way. There were a lot of POVs that made things a bit confusing, and the overall voice felt trite and a little flippant. Definitely not my favorite, but it was fun and an easy read.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC!
