What a thrill ride this book was. There were lots of twists and turns. Quite a few surprises. I was totally engrossed in this tale. Cameron is such a strong character. I kept rooting for her throughout the book. Such amazing writing. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced free copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I received a copy from the publisher through NetGalley.

Excellent sequel, picking up where the previous story left off. Cameron thought her serial killer husband was dead, but when similar killings begin, she’s worried. Copycat or the real thing? Lots of room for thought and lots of action.

WOW! Audrey J. Cole’s latest, The Last Hunt, was an absolutely exhilarating sequel to The Final Hunt.
The book picks up right where the first one left off. Cameron thought she left all of the death and murders behind her when she moved to Tok, Alaska. But, shortly after her move, more people begin getting murdered and she thinks the past is repeating itself.
This book sucked me in just like I knew it would!! I could easily read at least 5 more books with these characters.
Thank you to Audrey J. Cole, NetGalley, and Rainier Publishing for this ARC. The Last Hunt will be on sale on June 25, 2024.

The Last Hunt by A.J. Cole, published by BooksGoSocial, is the second book in The Final Hunt Series. For best reading experience I recommend to read the books in order. The previous book is The Final Hunt. " After John disappeared while hunting—presumed dead from a bear attack—Cameron found the crime photos. His role in the recent Seattle serial murders was discovered. The media destroyed her reputation. She lost her dental practice, is on the brink of losing her home.
Everyone has a secret. But if her husband could hide the unimaginable from her, who’s to say he’s truly dead?
“What brings you so far from home?” the Alaska State Trooper had asked. The truth."
The story picks up where the previous bok was left off.
Cameron believes she's finally free from her late husband. But when new bodies show up it seems history reating itself.
A fast paced, complex, complicated read that had me in suspense till the last page. A story full of twists and unexpected turns that had me guessing till the last page.
Blurb:Tok, Alaska. Cameron Prescott hopes the past stays buried. After believing her murderous husband is finally dead, the fierce survivor longs to start over with her state trooper boyfriend. But her illusion of peace shatters when she hears of a fresh killing that resembles her late husband’s grisly signature.
Horrified to learn the evidence points to a member of law enforcement, Cameron questions how well she knows her new man. And as the lies and bodies pile up, Cameron is convinced she's being stalked by a killer.

This was a very good book, I am not going to go into details, as I DETEST spoilers, but I read this in a day. There were some things I would change, but that it just personal preference.
