This is a short unplanned pregnancy billionaire romance.

I listened to the audiobook version and I understand that our MMC is supposed to be Greek, but the accent the male narrator was making was not authentic at all and just made him sound weird.

The book is full of Clichés, our main character is a virgin that gets pregnant during her first time. She is like “Aschenputtel” and gets treated like a second-class citizen by her cousin and her aunt and uncle. Unfortunately, this toxic relationship also takes up some parts of the already very short story. Other clichés also include the FMC’s best friend that is obviously secretly in love with her
When the FMC finds out that she is indeed pregnant, she contemplates giving up the child for adoption without telling the MMC about it. This did not make her very likable in my eyes. She is also a medical student that refuses medical treatment multiple times for no reason – make that make sense.

When the MMC finds out about the pregnancy, he tries to get the FMC to marry him, which she eventually agrees to. He still insists that he is not looking for love and does not want to have a child out of wedlock. Apart from the fact that this notion is incredibly sexist and outdated, it also took all the romance out of the story. Meanwhile, the poor, FMC thinks that she is falling in love with him after having spent approximately two days with him. Reading about their wedding ceremony was just super uncomfortable because the FMC is so insecure about their matrimony she can’t even voice her preferences for their ceremony and ends up with a wedding that she did not want at all. The MMC does not even bother to wear a ring. They even end up traveling for hours with her still in her wedding dress and heels, while she is pregnant. Why does he not care about her comfort at all? I guess this is meant to be a story, where it turns out that the MMC was in love with her the whole time and just wanted her, but it just did not read that way for me. If you like her, why not give her some security by actually voicing your feelings and make her happy by providing the things she actually wants?

This story unfortunately fell flat for me because it was filled with clichés and lacked any and all romance.

Thank you to NetGalley and Harper Collins UK Audio for gifting me this ALC of the audiobook to review.

Thank you to Netgalley for allowing me to listen to this audiobook in return for an honest review. This is not my usual genre but I am trying to broaden my reading experience. I initially found the book very cheesy but as the story progressed I was surprised to find that the story evolved into a much more complex subject matter. The book details miscarriage and various other family trauma situations. I loved the fact that Grace was a strong woman who knew her own mind and ultimately I think this is half the reason for the attraction for Leo. A modern day complicated romance story with a touch of spice! 4 stars from me.

I don't want to ruin the rating of the book as it's not really my cup of tea and I didn't actually enjoyed it. But I guess it's a good book for someone who enjoys these kind of hard romance books.

Not last, I would like to thank NetGalley, the author and publisher for offering me a copy of this book.

I listened to this as an audiobook. The narration was clear and expressive, but having a narrator for each protagonist would have been better. The story flows well, and the connection between the characters is believable. The emotional commitment grows as the couple gets to know each other, and there are the necessary conflicts to their happiness.

I listened to an audio copy of this book sent from the publisher.
