The third instalment to the Artefacts of Ouranos series was absolutely amazing! I loved being back with the characters and the cliffhanger at the end was mind blowing. I need book 4 ASAP!!!

4/5 stars! This is the third book in the Aretfacts of Ouranos series by author Nisha J. Tuli. I love the depth Nisha gives to her characters and am really rooting for them. The cliffhanger has pretty much wrecked my life so need to get the next book asap.

I didn’t finish this book because I dnf the second book in the series and couldn’t get through this either. It just wasn’t for me. So I can’t really give a review on this since it’s more based on the second book rather than this

I am totally obsessed with this series. I didn't realise this was the 3rd book so I started back from the 1st one.
I ended up buying the books directly.
Dark fae magic, high-stakes trials, and an enemies-to-lovers romance—Trial of the Sun Queen is everything!
For ToG fans.

What is with that ending!!! Nisha Why???
This series is too good and it is shaping up to be an epic last book. Nadir and Lor are just amazing and Nisha does a fantastic job of keeping you at the edge of your sit.
If you haven't started the series, start now, as you do not want to miss out.

I enjoyed this, the third book in the series, as I felt like things started to move & we got a lot more information. There are plenty of flashbacks giving the history, though some of these are a little random, I'm hoping they'll all tie together in the final book.
The characters are starting to come into their own & I'm particularly enjoying Gabriel's character arc. The relationships between them are finally happening, if you've read this series you'll know it's been all suspense & longing looks so far.
I'm looking forward to the final book & hoping it all wraps up in a dramatic but fulfilling bow.

Reviewed for the British Fantasy Society by Elloise Hopkins:
There is unrest in the Umbra as Atlas, the Sun King, purposefully and continuously denies the people’s wishes. Rebellion brews. And while Atlas continues to plot in secret and delay his bonding ceremony, Gabriel is suffering. He alone knows Atlas’s truths. The true king is kept hidden, cut off from his magic, fading day by day from the ruler he should have been and from the man Gabriel once knew.
Lor has no choice but to get to the Mirror and find out how to release her magic. She and Nadir, the Aurora Prince, have to find a way to get inside without Atlas finding out. They will need help from inside, but can Gabriel be trusted? On top of everything else, their relationship is developing, whether they would will it or not, and it seems neither one can control their feelings or their reactions to one another.
Fate of the Sun King follows Lor and Nadir as point-of-view characters, with the main emphasis placed on the development of emotional and sexual relationships between them. Gabriel also takes a key narrative role, which allows the reader to glimpse another side of Atlas’ cold servant and the struggles he faces. His narrative voice very well reflects the hard exterior he is forced to reveal to others.
In this third book in the Artefacts of Ouranos series, we see flashbacks of a young Lor, fourteen years prior to her imprisonment in Nostraza, which helps to add detail and understanding to events and confrontations in the present, as she seeks to recover her own powers, and more significantly, learns the follies of those before her.
As with the previous books, the pace is good. Detail and reflection often make way for action, but we have an easy read – perfect for some light summer evenings. This time, though, Tuli leaves us with an unbearable cliffhanger. Book four will be the impatiently awaited release of November.

When the English version of this book was released, I was incredibly happy that the publisher granted me a review copy through Netgalley. However, due to technical issues with the files (mostly spaces missing making entire sentences incredibly hard to read for a non native speaker) I couldn't read the book then and had to wait for the Dutch release. Last week it was finally time to dive into this book. I had already read the first chapter and was quite curious about the rest!
It feels like this book is clearly about world building and putting everyone in the right spot for the series finale. The story does have its own storyline, which is mostly told in flashbacks from a very very long time ago, but most of the book consists of the characters developing and learning. They meet family members, they get more information about their powers and they discover more about their romantic connection. Some side characters also get bigger roles and some point of view chapters.
Since this book is quite different from, especially, the first book it didn't grab me in the same way. It was less of an adrenaline rush and more of an exploration of all the parts of the mythology we didn't know yet. I wasn't bored, on the contrary, and I enjoyed myself while reading this book, but it wasn't hard to put the book down after the amount of chapters I planned to read a day. However, there are some reveals making me really curious about the last book.
I also feel like this series is really made for loads of spin-offs. The world is big, so much has happened and the more we learn about the Gods and Magic and background, the more I realize that loads of characters have life changing and even world changing stories. I hope the last book in the series will make sure the door is open for one of those spin-offs. And I hope the Dutch publisher announces the release date of the last book soon.

Unfortunately I was unable to finish this. The premise was very interesting and was well written however it was just not my personal preference. But I think that the author is great and will look out for thier other works

Another great book from Nisha!
I was so excited to read this after the last book and i was not dissapointed!
If you thought the ending to the last book was brutal wait to you get to this one. i had to re read the last few chapters because i was convinced i missed something!
theres so much action and adventure and i could not put this book down! the plot builds at such a natural pace, nothing is rushed and you are always kept on your toes! Nisha is clearly a natural born story teller.

This series is a must read for any romantasy lovers!
While this is book 3 in the series, it keeps providing incredible world building and back story, as we follow Lor on her journey as she is trying to access her magic.
I loved the characters development in this book! Especially for Lor's siblings! Learning more about their experiences was definitely a high point for me.
The slow burn between Lor and Nadir really amps up in this one and I love it! Just be prepared for the cliffhanger at the end!

One thing I love is a good fantasy I love a book that can make me forget what's going on in the world and go into an imaginative world where the impossible happens and you meet characters and creatures you would never meet for real and this book had ot all

I really loved the first 2 books so i was really happy to be appproved as ARC reader for this one! It was fast paced and there was just so much happening. It was amazing to see everything developing and the cliffhanger had me just shocked!

I absolutely love this series, it's very quickly become one of my favourite recommendations and I can't wait to see how it ends, I just know it won't disappoint!
Filled with adventure, stunning world building and interesting characters, this book series is perfect for anyone looking for something new. I knew I would love it from the first sentence.

I've read around 65-70% ish of the book, and sadly I need to let it go.
I'm starting to understand more and more why some people only start reading fully published series.
I was obsessed while reading the first two books! Couldn't put it down and was super excited for the third book. But a long time passed before I could pick up the third book and that excitement didn't come back when I started reading the Fate of the Sun King.
Honestly, I also forgot a lot of what happened with certain characters (I appreciated the intro a lot though). Which I'm sad about, because I really love the story line in general and I'm still curious about how it will end.
So for now, I remain quite neutral on this book, because that's how it also felt while reading: neutral. I didn't have big emotions or excitement.
Perhaps when the fourth book is published, I'll pick up this series again, and read it all at once.

I have loved this series from book 1 and have read each one in less than 24 hours.
Lor is so relatable and an amazing FMC. And finally we get the spice!!! I don’t want to give too much away but the cliff hanger has left me in tears!

Okay, I finally feel like Tuli is hitting there stride with writing! This third installment had so much more going on and had me asking so many questions which make me excited for the next book! Especially that ending, I can't say more than that!
I'm also happy to see the pay off of such a steamy slow burn, it's safe to say that it was worth the wait!

I think this relied too heavily on flashbacks and various POVs to convey the history of the world to the reader, rather than have them learn it all alongside Lor and her friends and family.
Some of the plot twists felt a bit incoherent and ill-fitting within the story, almost like it happened purely for the sake of happening.
Sadly lacking compared to book 1&2

Trial of the Sun Queen was one of my top reads last year, so when I got the chance to read Fate of the Sun King I snapped it up!
This is a series that I highly recommend across all of my platforms, Lor is a character I really enjoy. There is so much in this series that I love that continued into this third instalment, The world and the characters are so endearing, there is so much that I feel we still need to learn and there's only one book left in the series.. HOW IS THERE ONLY ONE MORE BOOK?
I honestly love Gabriel, he is flawed and harsh and so beautifully damaged I have to admit his chapters were my favourite part of the book. Especially the chapters we got to see him with a certain someone, my heart cracked for the lost potential of their love. I would absolutely devour a book solely about Gabriel.
Lor and Nadir are fully in their romance era, and the ONLY thing is they started to give me the ice a bit. IM SORRY. I love them, but the random drop ins of flowery writing which appeared so randomly in their interactions regarding their romance, I found it incredibly jarring and threw me out of the story because these flowery lines were so different to the rest of the writing style that they just gave me the ick. but that's a me problem, im owning it as a me problem.
Overall this is an exceptional series in the Fantasy Romance genre and I will never stop recommending it to people, it is my go to recommendation I love the characters and the world, the first book will always be my favourite and I'm just so incredibly excited for the finale.

I was sent a copy of this book via netgalley in exchange for an honest review.....for a full review please see my Amazon and Goodreads accounts
