This book manages to marry speed and haste with a slow romance very cleverly. Kate is great and a fighter which is appealing. She is bright, has a career plan to go and look after orangutans in Borneo, and the jeopardy of not going and turning the role down adds an extra level of piquant to the book. The concept of an actual fake mariage which isn’t with the principal characters is interesting. The emotions of the romance are well described and the epilogue nails it!

The Forbidden Greek is the first novel in Michelle Smart and Pippa Roscoes’ mini series Greek Groom Swap. Billionaire Leander Liassidis has agreed to a marriage of convenience to ensure his oldest friend Helena Haddon can access her inheritance. He backs out of the wedding and Kate Hawkins is dispatched by his estranged twin brother Leonidas and Helena to find him and bring him back to Greece before she starts her dream job as a veterinary surgeon in Borneo caring for orangutans.
Kate finally tracks him down but he refuses to return and tries to get her to leave. Slowly they go over old ground and chemistry develops between them but will Leander’s hang ups prevent a HEA for the pair?

I enjoyed this novel. The characters are both strong willed, determined and bounce off each other. They are relatable to the reader and it’s obvious the author enjoyed writing this book.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. My emotions were in turmoil as I read this book. Initially the angst between the two was concerning, Kate was very brave/foolhardy to refuse to leave Leander's property. He could have had her removed immediately. I was then curious as to what caused the animosity between them and the rift between brothers. As rollercoasters go there was then a high only to come crashing down.

Cute story with a strong male and female lead. I didn't think I would like it to start with as it felt like coming in to the middle of a story already In progress. I got into it pretty quickly and enjoyed the steamy nature of their romance.

An enjoyable romance which focuses on the hero and heroine for the vast majority of the book.
I liked both hero and heroine; they were Interesting characters who infuriated and entertained me at the same time!
